Perfect! Must go back
During this Pandemic it’s been so lovely to see any restaurant at all succeeding. Keeping up with the regulations is next to impossible (from a financial standpoint), and adhering to them takes a ton of hard work from every team member. I’ve dined at several Saint Ambroeus locations since Covid began, and each one has been safe, accommodating, and a quite lovely experience. I dream of the artichoke salad; it’s so simple but the portion size is lovely and it’s dressed perfectly. Our server was sweet, efficient and attentive. The management team indoors greeted me kindly upon entry. Each table had a heater which did the job just fine. (if we are choosing to dine out in winter during a pandemic, the onus should be on us to dress appropriately, which I did and was very comfortable at my private plexiglass cordoned off table). I will continue to support this group.
Great service and the food was perfect
La comida muy regular, tenia las expectativas muy altas sobre el lugar. El servicio esporádico.
Always awesome and delicious! Our favorite SoHo for lunch and dinner or just a stop by espresso. The best!
Sadly, when I arrived the host didn’t greet me. He was scolding someone near the bathroom for a while. I arrived on time for my reservation and I was waiting 5 minutes by the front door. The bartender felt embarrassed and came from behind the bar and told the host I had a reservation and he just told him to do it and he kept scolding the waiter behind the bathroom wall. The waiters looked stressed too and finally I was brought to the table by the waitress. Luckily, the waitress was very nice, but I was really surprised by the service in the beginning. There used to be a host there that knew everyone’s name and was always smiling. I miss those days. I know restaurants are struggling right now, but it’s hard to watch people being reprimanded in public, its so distasteful. Also when you have to eat outside in the cold due to restrictions they should be happy that people are coming to eat and try to create it a memorable experience no matter what. I hate to write this, I used to come here for my birthday too.
My new favorite restaurant! Had the most amazing evening with my husband. Will be returning frequently for that amazing pasta and cocktail list!
Staff was warm an welcoming and social distance practices made for piece of mind.
They really helped us celebrate some exiting news! And tried their best to mitigate the cold...covid times.
Always wonderful
Yoenn and Benny were incredible, as always!! Always a neighborhood favorite.
We had a reservation for 10 am and it opens at 12
We went on the last night before restaurants were closed for coronavirus. Sant Ambroeus somehow struck a balance between a sterile/sanitary environment and a festive one. They were adhering to social distancing protocols and wearing gloves. But it was still such a warm environment. Again, somehow. Thank you and hope to see you in person again soon.
Strange night. Strange staff, loads of them but service lacked. Appetizers were great, entrees were average. Too many good places in this city to return to this one.
The service was terrible. I had to speak to a manager at least twice and the service never got better. The food was just okay with what too much salt in the entrees. The appetizers were very good.
Sant Ambroeus Soho is a gem. The food and the service are both top shelf. We love this place. It was very busy on an early Saturday afternoon, so we made reservations for a Sunday brunch. Their eggs benedict is cooked to perfection, and believe it or not, light! The avocado toast with poached eggs also received rave reviews from my husband. Eating here is really an elevated dining experience. Go!
Usually go to the West Village location, but since there was no availability there, we decided to go to the Soho location for our Valentine dinner. We felt very rushed through the meal. We weren’t the only ones who felt that. On a Friday night, I understand that it’s important to turn tables quickly, but you can’t do that to your patrons on a big dining night like Valentine’s Day. It honestly put a damper on our night out. The food was good, but to be approached a number of times through the meal asking if we were ready for the next course, was a bit excessive. It’s unfortunate.
Excellent food and service
Dined at Sant Ambroeus to celebrate my mom and my birthdays. The food and service were both incredible; coupled with a fun ambiance that was still quiet enough to have good conversation makes it a must try. Sant Ambroeus had been on my list of restaurants to try and I will definitely be a repeat customer.
Beautiful ambiance and great service. The food was good, but just ‘ok’ for me in comparison to NYC Italian cuisine. It’s more about the vibe and scene here. Had a great catch up with a friend and would go back again.
Amazing service + food. Perfect setting for my work meetings. Will definitely return.
Amazing food
Terrible service. Had to ask for coffee twice before it arrived. Then brought to the table cold. Had to repeatedly ask for water to be refilled. Asked repeatedly for the check.
As always was lovely
Tasty bites, wonderful ambiance. The place to go if you want a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. A necessary spot to have a nice early morning breakfast to zen into your day.
Amazing service, beautiful restaurant, great food. The perfect brunch spot!
Upper East Side location is a much better experience.
Overrated place. The veal Milanese tasted like old cooking oil and the bolognese was over salted. Food came out within 5-10 minutes, clearly not made to order or fresh.
Delicious!!!
We reserve the table without any expectation and it was a very good surprise. I had a perfect balanced Eggs Benedict (not to much sauce) and a mini panettone that was very soft and tasteful.
French toast was the best! Would definitely recommend.
Amazing food, great ambience, good crowd, friendly service
The ambiance of this location is perfect and wonderful Soho location. Food and service were good. I only tried brunch but this place feels more like a dinner spot.
Best time! As always!!
Always good.
Brussels sprouts salad was lovely, server was rude, which was a first here.
Always a great choice!
Too hyped up for what it is. Also, one of the waiters was rude.
Fantastica esperienza. Personale davvero gentile e cibo eccellente. Il manager mi ha offerto a sorpresa una torta con candelina per il mio compleanno. Totalmente inaspettato mi ha cambiato la giornata. Grazie mille . Ottimo
