I ate breakfast there, had cold cappuccino, tasteless avocado toast and creme fraiche instead of cream cheese with the salmon as promised. Overall, an underwhelming experience and I won't be going back!
My food was great, my friend found her chicken dry. The
service was enthusiastic at first and then, toward the end
of the meal, slacked off. I’d still go back, like the place.
Great food, friendly staff, beautiful
The food was excellent as always and the service was efficient. Pastas are great and they also have grass fed steak option which was perfection.
Loved it there. Food was delicious, although salad could be better and richer. Salmon is delicious. The dessert menu could be better and more sophisticated. look forward to my next visit :)
Surprisingly great! Hadn't been to one of these in a while. Good food and friendly service in a touristy locale.
Horrible waiter didn’t come by once after placing our order. Will not return.
Pasta was great! Ambiance romantic. Tiramisu was weird. Covered in so much coco powder it made me cough. Same thing happened to the table next to us when they ordered.
Very disappointed to get charged $31 per glass of the house sparkling rose. Outraged, actually!
The food is consistently fantastic, as is the service. Love brunches here!
Wonderful place, perfect for an early Saturday breakfast. The French toast was excellent, great option for a sweet paired with really interesting and delicious spreads. The egg sandwich was a great option as well, for a more traditional dish. The coffee was nice and hot, perfect for the morning. The service was excellent.
Seats are very uncomfortable. On purpose i bet
Food was excellent- service and ambiance were ok.
One of the classiest places in town to eat with a consistent menu; and quick, attentive and discrete service. Great for a date, or to take visiting friends or family.
A lovely night for my wife’s 40th birthday
Food was nice but a little pricey in my opinion and they tried charging me for doubles on my drinks.
Quickly settled and would return if coming back
The menu was so good we had 3 courses! Nice neighbourhood restaurant and a great menu.
Family get together
If you're looking to splurge, the avocado toast is a MUST! Overpriced, but worth every penny.
Amazing food but you’re sitting on top of the other guests. Tables too close
Remains as one of my trusted go-to's. I love coming here alone with a book on a Sunday afternoon or for lunch with my team from work or even when mom visits from LA. Perfect spot for a catch up with a good friend or a romantic date night for me and mine. Food is always delicious, service is always top notch and it's just a reliable fun zone of food goodness. I'll be back soon.
Was pretty bad this night undercooked food, service was slow , talked to neighbors though so that was nice. Def my worst experience in the last 5 years there. Pasta cooking towards end of night was meh at best. Dont go late kitchen staff was clearly lazy
We had a nice time. Food was okay. Other options in the city with better service and more extraordinary food.
Bad service, overpriced, forgot to enter orders, bad taste
Food was way over salted and not unique
Wouldn't seat us until everyone arrived despite a dozen empty tables. Rude Maitre'd. Rushed us with bill to leave as soon as possible. Food was average. Better places very close by
Great to meet up with friends for afternoon cocktails or lunch before heading to an event in Soho.
Consistent perfection. Fantastic food.. Chic crowd, always...
The dinner was good, service was only ok. I put on the reservation that it was our anniversary but we were seated in the middle of one of their long bench layouts with little privacy. Took a long time for anyone to ask about the wine - they didn't bring a sample for us to try either. Pasta and sauce were only ok, nothing I would write home about. The real standout is the hot chocolate for dessert; I might be back, just for sitting at the bar and having that.
The wait staff is attentive to the right degree. And the food, decor and vibe is perfect for the setting. Cool spot for an early meet-up for business, or evening drink with friends. Definitely a spot to hangout.
Fuimos por un desayuno y nos pareció excelente la propuesta, muy elaborados, fuera de lo común. Gran sabor.
Local pequeño, estilo parisino!
We made an error and went to Sant Ambroeus in the West Village at Perry & West 4th. They were wonderful in alerting their sister restaurant. The food was amazing!! Tri-color salad, pasta carbonara to die for!
Outstanding food and one of the best old fashions we have ever had but the waiter was one of the worst we have ever had! We still would go back for the food and drinks.
The most consistently delicious and high quality restaurant I have eaten at in New York.
We were visiting NYC and celebrating my girlfriend’s birthday
The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Had the Brussel sprouts salad which was amazing and the tagliatelle with veal ragu. My biggest complaint would be that the menu was very limited. We were looking for more of a dinner menu but it was still brunch and lunch menu at 4:30-5:00. However everything we had was delicious so I would definitely go back and try it again
Lovely customer service and cafe, looking forward to visiting again!
4 different pastas, 4 delicious experiences. The linguine and penne were perfectly cooked (al dente) with just the right amount of sauce. Spaghetti with garlic confit is a garlic-lover's dream and the cacio e pepe is possibly the best I've ever eaten. Burrata appetizer is very fresh & tasty; the chocolate mousse is terrific with an unexpected cookie crush in the center. Drinks are excellent, as well. The wait staff is quite uneven with excellent managers & some waiters, while other waiters are a bit surly & off-hand. This is a very hot people-watching spot with gorgeous 6' tall models air-kissing all over the place. The food is so good that it trumps any other complaints I might have. I'm going to try the other 2 iterations of Sant Ambroeus ASAP.
Great food. Perfect cooked on their Pasta. Had a great service. Definitely will keep coming back and suggest to my friends and family.
FAVORITE PLACE EVER!!!!!!!
We love this place. Coming from out of town every occasion we get, we reserve. According to us one of the best Italian restaurants around. Authentic cuisine and very nice atmosphere. Staff particularly attentive to all the clients’ needs and very professional. A gem!
