Sant Ambroeus - Madison Avenue
We translated these old-world sensibilities of Sant Ambroeus to modern times, and imported our rich culinary traditions to New York. Each of our restaurants remains authentic to our Milanese origins, and we continue to serve our culturally inspired delectables in a casual yet elegant environment.
Amazing service and attention to details.
A wonderful lunch with my teenage daughters while visiting NYC for the first time.
Very good. I would definitely return
Warm and friendly! Best home made Italian with a upgrade of truffles . Excellent wine selection.
Simply put it was impeccable. All of the staff is very attentive and accommodating. Beautiful room, but the star is the food. I felt like I was back in Bologna or Florence.
Amazing. Food and service excellent
The pretentious attitude at Sant Ambroeus was not entirely unexpected however, if the food were better you might be able to tolerate the man sitting at the next table who was literally on a phone call for 15 minutes or the fact that omelets cannot be made with any more than 3 ingredients as “ the eggs don’t cook as well”... umm ok?? This place is definitely not worth the money.
Our food was excellent!
Their salads are so good.
My pasta was also just so...
My friend had the veal Milanese, recommended.
Yes, the noise level rises, but it’s really quite friendly for this neighborhood favorite.
Great Service, food and atmosphere. Servers were attentive.
Nice little place
The service and food was great! I will be coming back!
One of my favorite dining experiences in Manhattan
Sant Ambroeus is far and away our favorite breakfast spot.
We had such a lovely time! A+++staff.
Very good as usual
The bartender for the life of him couldn’t make a proper Manhattan and the food was not worth the price tag. Best thing I wound up eating was the foccacia bread they brought out and gelato for dessert.
Great fun. True Italian flair and atmosphere. Highly recommend for a terrific weekend breakfast.
The food was absolutely amazing! I had the Carbonara, and it was hands down the best Carbonara I've ever had. It was extremely rich, however, and I probably should have either shared it, or ordered a salad to temper the fat. There was a lot of wait staff, who seemed to checking our needs were met, but didn't refill my husband's iced tea readily, and we finally had to request a bill. They were very professional and pleasant. Overall, a delightful experience, and a place I would absolutely recommend.
Wonderful neighborhood restaurant with great food and lively atmosphere. Highly recommend
Recommended by hotel concierge and our lunch was delicious, service excellent and knowledgeable. A well run and bustling restaurant.
We had a delightful evening. It is our new favorite place to dine. Attention to detail was noted as well as delectable food.
Love this super iconic and special place ❤️
Excelent restaurant, food and ambiance!!
Excellent as always. I’ll continue coning back over and over.
Took my nephew for his last night in NY before he flew back to London. Great food as always - he LOVED the carbonara and we loved the Pollo. Large portions meant we did take a lot home!
I always trust this restaurant for just lovely civilised dining. Love the wait staff, love the maitre d’ and ALL THE FANTASTIC FOOD. It is not cheap but it’s very cheerful
Best restaurant to add truffles!
My score on the ambience was a bit low because the lighting was fairly bright for about the first half hour that we were there. With the lights dimmed I give it 5 Stars! Otherwise, delightful as always
Best place ever, you cannot have a bad experience here
Wonderful! I absolutely loved the French toast and our waiter was completely delightful.
It’s always reliable and elegant with delicious food.
Best restaurant in the area with amazing food and service.
Great caring service. Most welcoming
A chic slice of Europe on Madison Avenue an
Very arrogant. Snooty service . They need a lesson in hospitality.
This is a place where I always feel pretty sure I am getting “real” food and outstanding service. Pricey - I caution my friends for sticker shock - but being from Atlanta it is not a place we frequent.
Lasagna is out of this world. One of the best outside of Italy.
Outstanding. This establishment serves some of the best food in NYC and possibly the best service. Highly recommend you try.
You will love it.
