So delicious!! Can't go wrong here for Indian food. They have an extensive menu. My husband who works in Silicon Valley, says that this place has more items on their menu the most Indian restaurants in that area! So if you want Indian food, come to this place.
Food was great, obviously freshly prepared and unusual in style, but very tasty, and good size portions. Prices are not cheap reasonable. Excellent service. Kind of noisy when packed.
This was a lovely restaurant, the service was very friendly, and the food was very authentic. We would definitely return.
Love the good and the people. We will be back soon.
We've been to almost all the Indian restaurants from Livermore to Danville, but Sansar is my favorite. The food is delicious and VERY reasonably priced. The restaurant is beautiful and the waitstaff very helpful! I'll keep going back!!
This was well worth the drive to Livermore. Visited with a 6year old and an Englishman who enjoyed the food. We already have recommended this restaurant to friends
Since I made a reservation for myself and son, I expected to enjoy my experience. I had to ask for a menu, the waitperson was too busy with the customers already there. I was disappointed, but maybe it was because we were not known there. The food was delicious, but I have a suspicion that it might has been from the buffet.
One of the best Indian restaurants in the BayArea and I have tried most of them.
GREAT Buffet for a GREAT price, food is excellent, hot and very tasty. The service however is sorely lacking. All the servers seemed to be put upon to bring water or Naan Bread to the table.
There are a couple of Indian cuisine restaurants in Downtown Livermore. When my wife and I want authentic, spicy Indian cuisine this place is best. Hands down. Growing up, I actually hated Indian food. But the butter chicken, and cheese Nan are amazing.
Many many visits. We love coming here and have for many years. The food is great. Make sure you have the soup.
A must stop on your drive back to Central Valley from Bay Area. Great food !
Simply the best Indian food I have ever had. The staff is gracious and was very helpful to one of our guest who was new to Indian cuisine,
Good food, friendly service buts needs some work on the decor and ambiance. We eat there on a Friday night, downtown Livermore is buzzing but Sansar is relatively quiet. We started with the mixed platter (bhaji, pakora) and chutney - cooked perfectly crispy shells with aromatic stuffing. This was followed by the Lamb Tikka Masala - spicy and Dal Makhani - medium. If you find things are too hot mix add Raita (Yoghurt dip) to the meal to offset. The dishes were accompanied by some basmati rice and an assorted basket of bread (mixed naan). The lentils were a little bland lacking the creaminess typically associated with this dish. The lamb was tender. We washed this down with some Taj beer... left with very full stomachs and the leftover bread.
We come to SANSAR at least 2 or 3 times a month. The entire staff is great. If you treat them with kindness they will treat you well also.
The food is very good for the Tri-Valley area. The samosa does not have that oily greasy consistency that I've had had places. And their dipping sauce is fantastic. We get a lot of tandoori stuff since I'm not a big fan of too much cream, but all of the spices are in all of the dishes-- from vegetables to meat dishes.
We came on Valentine's night and it was super busy and they did a really good job of trying to get something out to everyone's table.
My wife is from Livermore and introduced me to this place. She mostly comes here because she likes the vegetarian selection, but meat eaters will also find plenty to love. We came for dinner, which was wonderful and modestly priced. There was also a decent selection of beer, and the kitchen is not afraid to make the food spicy if that's the way you request it. I thought Sansar was a great find, and I look forward to returning here in the future.
I made the reservation but was the last one to arrive. My friends were so impressed that they were greeted like a VIP and seated right away. The food was always a treat. Some of my friends came to Livermore for the first time. They were pleasantly surprised with the lunch experience and the downtown.
We went to dinner at Sansar this past week for the first time. The food and location were both great and we will return. The restaurant is located in downtown Livermore where you can walk the neighborhood and grab a coffee or ice cream after dinner. It was a great evening and we look forward to our next visit.
