Went for brunch with 3 friends. Service was excellent, food was delicious, noise level was fairly low so we could talk easily, and they didn’t try to rush us out after we were finished eating. Will definitely be back!
The guitar player/ live music was nice it was just too loud for the space. It was difficult to have a normal conversation. If it had been at a more background level loud, it would have been perfect. I came to have dinner with a friend and catch-up, not listen to guitar music and nod at each other.
I came with my family and this time around was a little different. The service was quite slow and we waited some time before the food came out. We didn’t even get chips and salsa or something to snack on, which made it more noticeable that our food took so long! The restaurant wasn’t even packed - maybe 4 other groups were there at the time. Besides that, the food was great.
Went for Colombian live salsa night on Saturday oct 26. Was disappointed...though there was live music, it was not any kind of salsa and not Colombian either. I was excited to go, but ultimately was disappointed...I felt
like it was false advertising to say live salsa but there was none of that.
Brunch is very good!!
Great food & sangia. Service was quick and friendly
The best place to eat!
Cute Neighborhood gem. All the doors open to give it an indoor/outdoor experience. it has a cute little bar. Nice decor. Pretty spacious and not crowded on a Sunday late afternoon/early evening.
There's a free wine or sangria with Yelp Checkin which is a plus. We started with a shredded pork over tostones which was a huge portion and delicious.
He got the Shrimp mofongo which was really good. I ordered the pork chop which I regret. it was thick and borderline dry. it needs a sauce and to be juicier. The rice and beans needed more flavor.
A little pricey for a Spanish restaurant but they make up for it with the portions.
Next time I'll try something else.
Love the Sangria and the food was delicious!
Beautiful ambiance definitely a neighborhood gem!
I had used a gift card . the crab cake was very tasty.
Having had paella in Spain and at El Quixote in Manhattan when they were open which was very enjoyable . Here at Sangria it took 45 minutes to prepare and was Dark RED! In the past it was nice and fluffy yellow rice . Portion was small for 2.
Never have I had Red paella and it did not taste very good. What a disappointment ! Took forever for the check to come . This was not a good dining experience .Also ,my first not favorable review ever!
We went there for brunch last Saturday and the food was amazing!! Now we have a great place in the neighborhood for brunch on Saturday and Sunday it’s a must try.
Food and service was great , drinks were awesome
Me and my wife Went back for dinner, this time with my mother in law and her boyfriend and service once again was spot on. As was the food and drinks. Complimentary shots from the owner Dominick - who is absolutely phenomenal and a pleasure to chat with. Booking future dinners and get togethers here at Sangria. You will have a great time ALWAYS! Thank you again everyone.
Great food and Great Environment
Octopus was cooked perfectly, everything else, including paella, was just ok.
The music was too loud couldn’t hear the person next to me.
It was everything and more. Haven’t had this type of hospitality in a while
Was celebrating with my wife our wedding anniversary and wow Sangria was absolutely fabulous. Service was outstanding; food was delicious; complimentary champagne for my wife and I which we LOVED! it was great experience from beginning to end. Ambiance and atmosphere was just what we were looking for with the Latin music playing the entire time. Felt like our wedding day back in PR. Will definitely be recommending the spot to friends and family; and will be back very soon for brunch and drinks (oh yeah, drinks for sure)!
The food was great, a bit on the pricier side. The service was a bit slow as well. We could not find the waitress for our drinks or to put in our order, but when we did get her she was very nice and helpful.
Food amazing , Entree’s took too long to come out but but considering it was Father’s Day we understood.
Food is good. Though it was very noisy. To the point you could not have a conversation.
We like this place very much but have been disappointed that the tapas menu continues to get smaller and smaller. We always enjoyed the large tapas selections that allowed us to try new items each time as well as our favorites. Now it's a good Spanish restuarant, not a tapas place. Food is very good but miss the tapas.
I just love this place for fun and good food. The waitstaff is charming and the owner is quite cordial. The sangria is delicious and we had some wonderful tapas and salads vIt's just a cozy friendly atmosphere and worth a try and repeat visits.
This place is a find as it has whatever you might want. The food is delicious and the owner is very cordial and makes you feel very welcome. The waitress was lovely too. We enjoyed our sangria immensely and the salads and tapas we chose were a great accompaniment. We have been there several times and will certainly return.
The food was not great. The Sangria was excellent, and for some inexplicable reason, they had a DJ but no dancing or dance floor. it was impossible to carry out a conversation.
Always a great time at Sangria! Food and service is one of a kind. Keep up the great work.
The food and the service was excellent.
It was a great place!! We really enjoyed the food and the service.
Food, as always, was delicious
Excellent food, excellent drinks , good atmosphere
The guests next to us were extremely loud and disruptive. Often banging the table with their firsts. It put a damper in my experience for sure.
In Open Table it comes up as an Mexican Restaurant however it is a Spanish Restaurant and it was excellent from the moment I walked in the door.
Everything was wonderful, great tapas!
We ordered a couple of Tapas and Sangria. Both were delicious. Overall the place is very noisy, but tolerable. The DJ after the show was great. Had a blast dancing the night away!
This is my absolute favorite restaurant. Dominique, Maria, and Karina are always amazing and accommodating.
Flamenco night is quite a night. The dancer, singer, and guitarist are breathtaking. My mom enjoyed the show, ambiance, and food. Talking about food. Shrimp tacos were so delicious.
I had the opportunity to dine in on a Friday night and I throughly enjoyed the experience! From the pleasant staff to the amazing Rose Sangria, to the tasteful Shrimp Monfongo! Wonderful way to engage a Friday night 😍
Sangria is a quaint little place. Nice atmosphere, strong sangria and the paella was one of the best we’ve ever tasted.
Very disappointed with how slow the service was. First time it happened. They at least recognized this and gave us a glass of sangria each while we waited for the food.
It was Valentine’s Day but also my anniversary. The service was outstanding and the sangria was delicious. The food did take a while to come out but it was understandable since it was Valentine’s Day. My seafood bake was good but my girlfriends steak was a little cold and not very flavorful. All in all it was a great experience considering it was Valentine’s Day and the staff was very accommodating. I will definitely be returning.
Maybe it was our mistake to try this place for the first time on valentines day. Overall the service was amazing. Though they did end up giving our entrees to a different table making us wait 2 hours for them to remake the food. They owned up to their mistake and gave us a few drinks on the house to keep us happy. My boyfriend really enjoyed the food but for me, the food was not worth the 2 hour wait. I would come back again though.
