Great food, awesome atmosphere
It was my first time at Sanfords and I will be a regular.
I absolutely love the staff at Sanford’s! The food is always amazing and fresh.
Great food and service! Appetizers/small plates are pretty big portions and service is very attentive yet respectful. Will definitively go back again.
Great $1 oysters for happy hour. Also wine and whisky prices are terrific. It was a delicious fun experience! Glad to see they expanded.
Brunch menu is great with 2 drinks for $10 extra and oysters $1.75 each a real bargain!
Sanfords has been a favorite of our family for many years. They've got something for everyone on the menu and I haven't had a bad experience yet. I do wish they would update the menu a little bit but everything I've had has been great. The atmosphere fits most occasions from a friendly get together to a special night for two. Well worth a visit.
Another great experience! I’ll be returning soon.
A little misleading. The website / opentable gave more of an upscale vibe but it felt more like a step above a diner. Bar was really cool and had an impressive selection. The food wasn't bad and the wait staff was friendly. Just a lot more casual in person than it presented itself to be online, which is odd for a place that takes reservations. Overall I felt it was pretty expensive for what felt like diner food.
Very happy with the vibe, loved the six page whisky menu, nice people ...but my trout had clearly been frozen thawed refrozen a lot. Overall we'll go again, nice everyday spot, not a foodie place.
Went on a Saturday evening at 5. Sat at bar for a little, early for reservation. Selection of whiskey and bourbon is awesome. Seated right away once it was our reservation time. Ordered the tuna tartare to start - fresh and delicious. Ordered bone-in ribeye with whipped bourbon sweet potatoes and sesame crusted tuna for entrees. Both really good. Had room for dessert so got the bourbon pecan pie - wowwwieee was that good and so worth it. Overall, really cool and relaxing atmosphere and really good food.
Very good service and food was good. A bit too noisy and seating cramped.
Consistent and always good!
Came with my family for my husbands bday and we all loved our brunch! It was very enjoyable.
The eggs Benedict with smoked salmon was delicious!
Leo our server was outstanding, super friendly! Knew I was starving and he delivered all the ordered courses in a timely matter as they got fired. I appreciated that very much! Food was delicious too
The oysters and Mac and cheese were great! We quickly realized that ordering appetizers and a main was a bit much for us. I had the salmon which was a little dry and fro soup was a bit too salty. I would recommend the salad. Drinks were good. Definitely good ambience
I am absolutely happy that I chose this restaurant . I brought my boyfriend here yesterday for his 24th birthday and everything was just just splendid. The staff was INCREDIBLE. The food was SUPERB - compliments to the chef! The drinks were so FANTASTIC that I had two and was tipsy lol and they were just mimosas. My waiter surprised my boyfriend with cake and ice cream and told me don’t worry it’s on the house! I just want to thank Sanford’s restaurant for making my boyfriends birthday extra special. To see him smile the way he did was PHENOMENAL and you guys definitely played a part. I will definitely be back !!
Couldn’t wait to have brunch here after reading all the great reviews. Unfortunately our experience was disappointing. Love the decor however the food was mediocre. Bloody Mary in a bourbon glass was small and just ok. Corned beef hash and sweet chorizo hash lacked any flavor despite the great ingredients. Could not recommend.
The waitress with the Irish accent was superb!! Onion soup delicious mucho chees and filling. Had to take the rest of the food home.
What a wonderful experience we had celebrating my birthday. Saul and the whole team made it such an enjoyable night! I will be back!
Service was a bit sloe
It was pretty good vibe to take a date. A bit noisy but it’s durable
Everything we tried was delicious. The menu has a lot of variety on it and everything was delicious. Highly recommend the black truffle mac and cheese appetizer!
The food was delicious and the ambiance is really great. Very fun spot!
Delicious food. Busy for brunch hours. Tip: Very loud, not good if hungover
I was here when the original sandfords its still nice, comfortable racially balanced and the food is better. It was always good but the new menu choices are really cool. Will keep going til I have everything on the menu
We went for brunch for my daughters birthday. Food was great very large portions. Service was great. Would definitely go back!
Lovely location for brunch Excellent food and service.
Honestly the food has gone WAY downhill. I asked for french fries well done and twice they came back nearly raw. Falafel sandwich tasted reheated, the whole experience felt rushed and weird. Had to beg to get coffee refilled.
Great spot for any special occasion!❤️❤️❤️
Not only was the food amazing, but the staff were so nice!! We were running late because of trains and they still kept our table for us. Looking forward to returning!!!
I went for dinner. The food was ok. I previously went there for brunch. Which I think is better. For dinner we shared the lobster Mac and cheese. There were large pieces of lobster in it so that was a plus. Outside of that, it was ok. It just tasted like lobster, pasta and cheese separately. There wasn’t a connecting flavor, if that makes sense. I also had the truffle burger which I didn’t particularly care for. For brunch and dinner it’s a pretty loud atmosphere. It was hard to hear each other without raising our voices and constantly saying ‘what?’ The service was fine. Attentive. If you want a food experience, go somewhere else. But if you just want a place with not terrible food, energetic atmosphere, that’s open late go here. Everyone’s palate is different, or I may have just picked dishes that are not the highlights of their menu. It’s worth trying at least 2x, once for for dinner and brunch.
I was really looking forward to dining here based on so many wonderful reviews. I was disappointed with the quality of the food and the ambiance. It felt like it was trying to be more of a club than a fine dining experience. The food itself was glorified Chili’s or Applebee’s.
Those French toasts were so tasty, they are haunting me!
Delicious and extensive brunch option!
We recently enjoyed a small family birthday brunch celebration at Sandfords. The decor is attractive, the seating cozy and comfortable and the staff welcoming and attentive. The menu selections were numerous and all looked good! We noticed the dishes of others diners set down and all were plated in an attractive manner. The items we chose were delicious and a special recommendation for the pecan crusted chicken salad. It was really unusual. Overall a very relaxed, tasty and enjoyable meal. One member of our party had already eaten at Sandfords and knew it is a neighborhood gem.
Quaint and relaxing..great for a date night. The food was good and the waiters are attentive.
The hostess was TERRIBLY rude. She had me standing for 10 minutes until my entire party of TWO other people got there only for me to tell her they’re already here at the bar waiting, to have her keep me waiting AGAIN. AND she walked right by me TWICE as I asked her a question. Is that really the type of person you want your customers to first see as they enter greeting them? Second, she finally took us to a table where it was freezing! When asked to move, we were told we can’t because all other tables are reserved. Seriously? ALL? Anyway, the food wasn’t really great. I got the ravioli and it tasted very old. The sauce had a really gross taste. My friends didn’t like their food either. Lastly, their dessert was the only good thing on the menu.
Service was slow, it looked like the entire restaurant had two servers, yet three hostesses were constantly socializing with each other watching customers get impatient and go unattended. I couldn’t even get a refill on my water. My friends did the boozy brunch special and couldn’t even get the second drink that was included because the service was so slow and by the time someone finally got to us, they just took their first drinks and walked away - felt ripped off. The food was good! My dish was poorly made, I got the chilaquiles verdes and it was all soggy and runny. The truffle Mac and cheese was great and the avocado toast was too! The steak skillet was pretty good and my friend loved the crab cake Benedict.
Great place! Mac and cheese and peanut butter banana pancakes on point! Thanks!
