Sandy's serves up California cuisine right near the shore. It provides scenic views of the beach and ocean, as well as a welcoming casual atmosphere. Sandy's lunch and dinner menu features starters such as garlic-fried green beans and the Ahi poke stack with guacamole. Patrons can feast on a main course of grilled chicken tacos with habanero salsa, flat iron steak or a Kobe beef burger with black pepper aioli. This restaurant also serves wood-fired flatbreads with tasty toppings, sandwiches and salads.
Sandy's provides outdoor seating for patrons to enjoy the weather while dining. It has a full bar that offers beer, cocktails and other beverages. This restaurant also features a happy hour and breakfast on the weekends.
Terrible service, mediocre food. Get REAL martini glasses for goodness sakes! For a restaurant on the sand on a Friday night, it should have been packes. Huge indicator of the service and dood. Sandys needs to step up their game or they will fail.
Our server, Kendall, was great and attentive despite the busy Saturday crowd.
The food was absolutely delicious! The servers were fabulous and went out of their way to get to know the name of the people in our large group. They were very accommodating to everyone. A wonderful experience for everyone, many people in our party commented on how great the entire dining experience was. We would definitely be back.
Went with a couple of friends who had never been there. Personnel was super friendly and the service was excellent. They have some interesting choices on the menu and all of us enjoyed the food. Our table on the patio was perfectly located with a lovely view of the beach and pier. We'll definitely be back.
Reservations did not really make a difference.
Waited about 10min. Hostess commented
"Oh some people came in and sat themselves!"
The food was EXCELLENT from the appetizers thru the main courses we had!! The location of the restaurant, right on the beach overlooking the ocean was really great! The only thing I would suggest is, that if the restaurant knows that the dining is for an special occasion, i.e., birthday, anniversary; something along those lines, that they put a white table cloth, some candles, and flowers on the table, ESPECIALLY if it is for a birthday and of course anniversary. It just seems like it would make the dining experience that much more pleasurable and enjoyable for the couple(s) and families.
Dinner at Sandy's was a pleasant experience. Our server was very attentive and answered all of our questions about the menu. We found a good wine that they were serving by the glass. Our shrimp appetizer, salad sand our entrees were delicious.
We particularly like watching some college kids playing volleyball and several families out walking with their young children.
We make a point of dining at Sandy's on our yearly trip to Huntington. It is our favorite restaurant on the water.
We've been enjoying Sandy's great view, with food to match for a couple of years. On our last visit, right away we noticed the food was different. The normally delicious fish tacos were dry and the sauce had changed from a spicy green to a really spicy yellow. Waiter told us the restaurant had just been sold to Fred's and would become more like it - more televisions, (isn't the ocean enough?) more raucaus, younger crowd. Sad to hear; one more reason not to come downtown HB any more. Back to Pacific City
Great food and service. Way too loud to have a conversation of any kind.
Enjoyed a great lunch for grandparents day! Service was excellent and our server had a great personality. Food was good as you would expect being a dukes property.
