Great employees and servers. Will be back.
Nice atmosphere, very good service, food average the night we were there
It was a great dining experience, for sure! The cost was a bit pricey as who can eat that much food?! Overall, it was very nice.
Sandy Point provides wonderful food and entertainment!
We have enjoyed SPBH for years but our last two visits have been very disappointing. Service has been painfully slow and the food served missing key ingredients listed on the menu. The flowers that used to sit on each table are notably missing. Most recently we were there for Sunday brunch with friends from out of town and while it wasn’t crowded, we were there for almost 2 hours. Table of 5. Took 15 minutes to even be acknowledged and given ice water. 45 minutes after ordering and semi-patiently awaiting our meal to be served, the server returned to say that they were out of crab cakes!?! A simple burger was ordered instead (plain, no bun) and it was served within minutes barely grilled. The server did comp the burger due to crab cake debacle. As we exited the restaurant my husband commented that he felt like we had been held hostage for the last 2 hours and apologized to our friends. Just so disappointed to have similar experiences in the last couple months. Such a wonderful venue, just wish the food management could return to what it used to be.
I love this place-have visited in all four seasons and never had a bad experience – can’t wait to get back
Easter buffet was fantastic!
The best food on the lakeshore bar none. Good food. Good atmosphere. 10/10
When we mad our reservation we asked if our 6 top could be in a quiet location because we wanted to talk and catch up with old friends. This did not happen. We had to yell to hear each other and the waitress said it was too noisy for her too, she has trouble hearing customers. There was a band in the bar area and we were seated in the porch. I think a table to the left of the bar would have been quieter.
The burgers were delicious as were the scallops, the pasta was lukewarm, the chowder was mostly potatoes, but very flavorful.
Great food and great service. Nice job.
This was a terrific experience all around. The staff is professional and friendly and knowledgeable and the food that we ordered was very, very good! We had mussels, crab cakes and steak and all were very tasty. The wine list is extensive which is really nice to see in a restaurant in a smaller town in MI. Can’t wait to go back!
I complained that the vegetables were laced with raw garlic which none of us could eat. No compensation offered
Sounds silly but the hot tea tasted like weeds & when I asked for sugar I was, told they were out.
Much better visit this time! Our server was VERY good! Noise was a bit high from musician, but he was good!! My food wasn’t that great. Had the meatballs and penne. The sauce was an orange paste and meatballs were overcooked. Everyone else had great meals: fish cheeks, chicken, stroganoff.
Fabulous as always! Great food and service in a fun environment.
Every time we return to this restaurant it gets better and better. The hanger steaks were not only cooked perfectly, but were delicious along with the fries. We especially like the service. A few years ago we had some issues, but this past year the wait staff has bee outstanding.
I spent 28 dollars on the scallops which was quite expensive in my opinion but the waitress convinced me. They were delicious but the small potatoes were terrible. I ate most of them because I was so hungry as I was so looking forward to our meal that evening. I shared with the waitress and she brought me a piece of cheesecake (which was excellent). I think that a salad should have been included with the dish as well for the price.
Still disappointed that we spent so much on my meal.
Good food. Good drinks. Quality is generally good but can be inconsistent recently.
Great menu, friendly wait staff, relaxing beach house ambiance.
We were there for Sunday brunch and loved that there were brunch and lunch choices available. The menu selection was great, with offerings for the vegetarians and picky eaters in our party. Many of us had a difficult time deciding what to order because so many of the options sounded delicious. The food was excellent and none of us were disappointed.
Excellent service and delicious food!!! You will not be disappointed.
Sandy Point is our favorite restaurant in the Grand Haven area. The food and drinks are always great. The music during dinner was perfect. We brought our 9 months old to dinner this time and they were extremely accommodating and made it easy to eat as a family. I already look forward to coming back.
We had a wonderful brunch at Sandy Point Beach House this weekend. Love the atmosphere and food. Excited to try them out in the summer time!
Great place for leisurely dining! Great food, lovely atmosphere and Joe, our waiter, was awesome. Things move a little slower. This is a place to gather with friends or for a special occasion. We were well- cared for and had a great experience.
Food was outstanding, small bites, as well as main courses and dessert. We've been before, seems it gets better every time we go!
Valentines dinner... we had the 4 course special. It was all delish!! Highly recommended.
Very nice! We sat next to the fireplace and it was very comfortable. There were lots of options on the menu and several specials. There were five in our group and everyone had something different - everything was very good.
Birthday dinner with family
Always a great experience at Sandy Point!
This restaurant keeps getting better and better. I had the Parmesan whitefish and my husband had the scallops. Both were outstanding. Our server was excellent too. Also the live music was wonderful! The musician offered tunes that set a positive mood and were well played.
Amazing as always
Been there three times. Greatbthe firstvtwo Times. This time service was was less than..... Took a friend for her birthday. After receiving a “free” dessert, it ended up on the bill. Amoungvthe four of us, bills were a mess- there were two couples, so only two bills. Server didn’t ask the rest of us if we wanted dessert. Big mistake. We were looking forward to it. Only took drink orders from three of us instead of four. Music was too loud this night. We were in a different room than musician but we still couldn’t hear each other. Tuna entree looked like an appetizer. We all pitched in to give our fourth food from our plates. Rest of food was good. Embarrassing as we brought out of state friends and raves about our first two meals. An off-night. Will avoid same server if we go back.
Very delicious food and great atmosphere! Also, great customer service.
We were on a weekend getaway to Lake Michigan and really loved our dinner at Sandy Point Beach House. The atmosphere was that of a vintage Michigan resort, but with a modern, unique food and cocktail menu. Our server, Breanna was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. The food was exceptional. We had the vodka penne pasta with meatballs, U10 scallops, pierogies appetizer, and creme brulee cheesecake for dessert. The "New Fashioned" cocktail was an interesting and delicious twist on an Old Fashioned. We would definitely recommend Sandy Point Beach House and look forward to our next visit!
Had a great time here on NYE! Great value for the NYE menu. I'd love to return in the summer!
Excellent food, great service, casual but nice atmosphere. It's a bit on the pricey side, but for a special occasion, it was worth it.
Sandy Point Beach House has been a favorite. They are always consistent with great food and service.
Always a wonderful meal at Sandy Point! Worth the drive.
We came in for our business Christmas dinner and everyone was happy!! Thank you for working with us, we will be back!
too noisy. you need to dim the acoustics. It was so noisy our server could not hear our order. sore ears when we left. too bad for them. good food, but it does not make up for the cacophony of being too noisy.
A little chilly!
