Brook (our server) was incredible. Great ribeye dinner and mousse dessert. 100% recommend
Great view and food!
Unfortunately the view is spectacular and the food less than that. Fish was rubbery in the fish and chips. The chips were only good thing on the plate. The coleslaw was bitter and inedible. Sad to say this as I had always loved to come here but not anymore. The waiter was also rude to us when we asked about moving out of the shade because one of our party was freezing. We would have been changing stations and that out him out of sorts! His tone and flexibility needs lots of coaching!!
Crab cakes and beet salad were great and the short ribs were unbelievable!!
Perfectly lovely dining experience
I always love sitting outside to eat. The view was great and the food was very good. The service was somewhat indifferent, but overall we really enjoyed the meal.
Great food! Had fun dining with family.
There’s 12 of us and we got the best seats.
Will definitely come back.
Ordered veggie burger. It came with bacon. Asked server to please get me one without bacon as I am a vegetarian. When he came back with the “new” burger you could tell the kitchen just removed the bacon and sent it back to me. When I asked the server if this is what happened he said yes. Inexcusable.
It's faster to go to the bar inside and buy a drink than order from one of the waitresses that does anything to try to avoid you outside.
The service, food and view were amazing.
We loved sitting outside on the grass to eat under the lights. The heaters by the tables made it cozy and warm. The fog set in so there was no sunset visible, but it didn’t take anything away from our experience.
I tried to overlook the fact that most servers are new because of COVID-19.
Very small and limited menu. Took over an hour to get our appetizer, because they “forgot”. Food was “ok” for the price. Service was not very good. I was told under new management, overall experience was not good.
Seascape will be much better when attendance becomes normal. We miss the aquarium, which is now covered up. We also disike the constant opening of the doors to outside seating, which makes the interior very chilly.
Another thought for the owners: The booths are very uncomfortable. The tables are too high the the seating much too low. Need a cushion to improve this. Same for the tables and chairs. Need new ones more adopted to the human body.
Sanderlings has an excellent, simple menu with reasonable prices for the value. You feel like you are on vacation. The view is sensational and the service is excellent. After the pandemic, it will be even better.
We were seated at the outer edge of the filled section, just were we wanted to be. Maybe it was a COVID thing but in any case it worked out perfectly.
We love this place, typically...we are trying to frequent our favorite locations and do our little part keeping them going. That being said, when we arrived we were informed that they had NO chefs and thus the menu was very, very limited. We were provided a scaled down menu and even then, they didn't have many of the items that were actually on the menu. I hope things turn around soon, we will continue to give it a try.
Bad service, long time waiting even for glass of water
Beautiful view and excellent service. Great for a special occasion.
Went to Sanderlings for a nice dinner to celebrate our anniversary, but the menu was very limited to say the least. Food quality was just ok. Music was way to loud indoors. Sorry not worth the price for the food quality. I love how the menu said winter menu when it should be spring addition or menu. The kids menu sounded better than the adult entrees.
Love Sanderlings, great location and incredible views of the ocean.
Love the venue ! Hostess was a bit brusque/stressed but servers were friendly and efficient. Food is generally good and competitively priced. Really enjoy the view from the patio.
Pros: The view was amazing, the food was delicious (salmon dish, beet salad & bread pudding)! Workers were friendly. Cons: they did not do a good job keeping our drinks/water filled, and we waited quite awhile for our dinner. But the view was awesome, so waiting so long wasn’t horrible.
Wonderful outdoor dining experience with great views, wonderful food, plenty of personal space and professional, friendly staff.
Great food and service as usual. Outdoor seating worked well for our family.
Seascape is a coastal resort with outstanding ocean views. It has become our favorite COVID dining lunch spot. The patio is large, tables are far apart, service is friendly and helpful with heat lamps, umbrellas and booster chairs. The indoor bathrooms are spotless. Ambience comes from the scenery and the company you keep. The resort itself is rather plain vanilla, corporate. But it's the perfect spot for a long quiet conversation in a safe sanitary setting. Cocktails are excellent.
Service was so bad. It took 20 minutes before anybody took our drinks order.
The service was a little less than desired, not very friendly. The food came out lukewarm. I know they are trying their best to get back to a "normal" dining experience, but we are repeat customers that refer a lot of folks to the restaurant, and we want our friends to have a good experience!
This review is for lunch. We have been here several times in the past also for lunch, but did not have a great experience this time. Hostess was very friendly and welcoming. Waiter was pretty rude and rushed (I averaged the service rating based on these two). The daytime menu has been cut down quite a bit, sadly. I ordered the burger, and the patty was thinner than a child's burger at Mcdonald's!! My husband got the fish n chips. Two small burnt pieces of fish on a bed of fries. Perhaps they were low on supplies at that time, but when you're paying good money, they should warn you of potential shortages. The view is amazing as usual, so ambiance is great. But we'll probably go to another restaurant next time we are visiting.
They had 2 waiters for many tables. Waited along time for our food. The food was not worth the price. We will not be going back.
Excellent Food, View and Service - always a favorite.
We have been going there for over 20 years, but may never go back again. On Easter Sunday, a hostess seated us at a table in the shade. I asked that we move to a table in the sun since it was chilly outside. She told us she would check and let us know. Not only did she never come back, but when I went inside to find her she refused to allow us to move, despite several other 4 top tables still being available in the sun. She claimed they were for "other" guests. When I asked if they had reserved a specific table or if they were even there yet, she said no. Five minutes later, four people were seated at one of the tables in the sun. An hour later, that table had finished their meal and left, while we still had not even received our meals. Once we did receive our meals, my husband's rib eye was like shoe leather and he had to send it back. Meanwhile, the other four top tables in the sun still remained unoccupied and were still empty when we left. Extremely poor business practices!!
Views can't be beat! A beautiful setting and good service. Juevos Rancheros on the breakfast menu not what we expected. Could use improvement.
Waited 55 min before getting appetizers. Meal took 30 more minutes. Waiter was MIA and didn’t even bring our check. We had to go ask the bartender to find him
Great service, delicious food, greatly improved menu. We ate outside with a heater on a cool day and were perfectly comfortable. Amazing view of the mighty Pacific Ocean.
After we were seated we received glasses of water and silverware but had to wait 20 minutes before anyone greeted us.
Nice visit. Good food. Sun and fresh air so welcomed. Service engaged and attentive. The non-alcoholic beer not available. Birthday dessert not offered “during the pandemic”? A bit disappointing on that note for a birthday meal, but overall well worth it.
Chef in the kitchen knows what to do, service with a smile, view breathtaking!
Delicious food, beautiful setting. Felt very safe dining inside with all the right COVID protocols.
The place is very pretty being on the coast. The food was definitely not outstanding because it was expensive for what you get and cold. The waiter was great, funny and attentive.
We enjoyed our visit to Sanderlings and will come again. Thank you.
