Nice venue. Ordinary food. Expensive
Also a little uptight
Great service, views, ambiance. We enjoyed our time there.
First time out with a group since Covid....it was great. All the wait persons were very "on it" at all times. We especially enjoyed Tammy. Thank you
The ambiance was great, food was good but the service was NOT!
Table next to us left while we were still dining, and the way it was wiped guaranteed transmission of any COVID to the next group! It was wiped in like 2 seconds with a simple cloth, no sanitizing or anything!
The waiters were wearing masks but were definitely not practicing social distancing. Our stay at the hotel was good because we distanced ourselves well, but that dinner totally ruined it!
We had a reservation at 7.30pm and we had to wait until 8.15pm to get seated. Food was not worth the wait.
Saul our waiter did an amazing job! The service and the view was the highlight of my dining experience. I will definitely come back
Sanderlings has done a great job of adapting to the current pandemic. We ate outdoors and were seated well away from other guests. The food was delicious and the service (by waiters wearing gloves and masks) was great. Thank you!
Service was excellent, everyone was taking extreme precautions with COVID. The location was beautiful. The food was okay. I was expecting better for the price and past reviews.
The service is excellent and the views are incredible.
The restaurant is within the hotel lobby and was quite busy. Glad that we had the OpenTable reservation. We were shown to our table facing the ocean without any wait. Everything was set up to provide social distancing and we felt very comfortable. Food menu was varied and we quickly found items we wanted to try. I had the clam chowder and poke. Both were very good and provided a good sized lunch. The clam chowder was in a large bowl and had a rich, creamy flavor with a good amount of clams. The poke was just the tuna with some seaweed/avocado and what looked to be house made chips (no rice or anything). Had a good kick to it and was perfect sitting out in the sun.
We sat outside, had lunch with a great and the weather was great!
Burger was very average, Salmon good , Fish and Chips Very Good
Beautiful views and great food. We had the heirloom tomato salad, oysters, fish and chips and burger. All were perfectly prepared with a lovely presentation. Drinks were also quite good.
New management and new chef has not been a positive. Classic delicious recipes have changed and food is more expensive for poor quality. All fish had a bad fishy flavor. Sanderlings was always a favorite of ours. No more. Such a disappointment.
Early birthday celebration with family. Wonderful views and ambience during this COVID imposed shutdown! Menu very limited without many of our usual favorites. There are only two salad choices and strangely Caesar is not one of them. Not the Sanderlings experience we’ve come to expect but happy they are doing their best in these unusual times.
waited over 30min to get our order and another 30min for the food. soup was cold and the calamari was over cooked.
We loved sitting on the patio and enjoying the view.
Exceeded expectations, especially in Covid times. We will return again soon!
The food was really, really good and the service more than met our comfort level while still remaining attentive. We want to go back just for dinner sometime.
Lovely ambiance looking at the sunset, outstanding service and very good dinner
Considering the Virus restrictions they are working with they are doing a fabulous job allowing their customers to enjoy the great setting at the Oceanside view. They have a limited menu which is not up to their normal amazing selection and quality, but still good stuff and a decent selection. Reservations are encouraged, and bring your sunglasses for the great sunsets and bring a jacket in case the fog cools off the outdoor patio.
We had our anniversary dinner with the best possible view one can have. Very comfortable with the seating arrangements and the location of our table.
The four of us had a varied menu including dessert for the birthday person. Service was excellent, area was immaculate, not noisy, and benefited from a visit by two deer on the lawn. Thank You!
My 60th birthday. Dinner was fine except we were seated then asked to move then no server. Seemed like they were not prepared for guest even though I had made a reservation. No treat offered to this birthday girl!
We had lunch there and we found the menu to be very limited for people who do not eat meat. We pick the fish and chips. It was good but it was overcooked.
That evening, I ended up with gastrointestinal distress.
Because I am going for physical therapy across the street, I will probably go there again but wish there were more choices.
Food is very mediocre for the price, you are paying for the view not the food. I would recommend going to have a drink on the patio, but don't stay for dinner it is not worth it.
Despite having a reservation, it was difficult to be seated. A server was late, so host said, "They can wait." However, once seating began, they took 2 groups before us - even though we had been waiting. Food took forever to get to table - many other groups sat after us were served and left before we received our food.
In this time of outdoor dining Sanderlings provides great value. The food is good, not fantastic, but the service WAS fantastic and you can’t beat the view. Tables were set far apart & I felt very comfortable. Dress for a cool breeze..... We’ll be back soon!
Beautiful setting Limited menu at this time but just happy to have it open again...
We had two nice meals here. The service was good and the food was also good. The views are spectacular. The best in the area
Over crowded outside dining and short staffed caused very slow service and food not served warm or hot.
Sanderlings is one of our favorite restaurants. Last Thurs was a beautiful day, & we loved sitting on the lawn so close to the view. Really everything good to say about this incredible location, & wonderful restaurant. We always look forward to our return.
The setting at Sanderlings is just beautiful, overlooking the ocean. There was plenty of seating, spaced out and lots of shade. The food was great! Loved the Clam Chowder and the Fish and Chips. Service was very good. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here.
The food and cocktails were amazing!
Your wait staff was on point but your food selection needs some work.
The view and setting is great! If you can get a table by the window the view is amazing. The Cesar salads were pedestrian but it was nice to have a choice in small and large salads. This is a nice touch and the waiter was attentive but not overly intrusive.
They make the best Skinny Margaritas.
It was lovely! Lunch and outdoor seating were great! Pamela gave us excellent service!
The service was outstanding, the prices were very reasonable and the food was great.
Lamb was excellent. Fish was dark and chips were too salty.
