Service and food was very slow. Salad and soup starters were served with main course, not before. Fish tacos were cold and mushy. Presentation of sliders was poor - 2 lonely sliders on an otherwise empty salad plate.
One guest needed gluten free. Soup served was different than description. The server who delivered the soup was asked if it really was GF and his response was “I don’t know”. We had to insist that he check with the kitchen.
Most concerning was restaurant assurance that CDC guidelines would be followed however none of the servers was wearing a mask.
Disappointing decline in a formerly consistent and fun neighborhood grill. I will not return and will not recommend to others.
Wonderful service, food,,friendly.. enough other people to make it feel like pre-pandemic.’
A neighborhood jewel.
Hope staffing problems can be addressed soon. Favorite place.
Outstanding, as always in the past, but our first time back in over a year due to the pandemic.
We had take out during the past year, but being back inside was just wonderful.
The drinks, food, and service were all just as good as before.
Made a reservation for brunch. Showed up and it was closed. So annoying
So sorry to hear this happened. I am not sure why~ We don't do brunch and never have... in fact we aren't open on Sundays at all. My apologies~ I will attempt to resolve with open table. I hope you come back and try us out for dinner, Monday-Saturdays. Thanks for letting us know about this issue. Stephanie
Excellent food, especially the ribeye steak. Guaranteed good meal.
Ownership transition is going smoothly. New owner has strong local ties and a great background. Should not miss a beat and time will show some new innovative creative menu options.
Food was great, I would recommend the Poached Grill Prawns, they were excellent.
This was my first time at this establishment and I enjoyed the drink menu very much although it was definitely on the pricey side. I had the soup which was a carrot parsnip bisque and it was very good
Always a pleasure to stop and eat at the Sandpoint grill.
This place has always been terrific. I hope the excellent food and service and ambience remain with the new owners.
As opposed to many restaurants with hard surfaces everywhere, this one although busy is not loud. The food is quite exceptional too. While our group does not live in the neighborhood, we noticed there were many folks there from the area around the restaurant. Nice comfortable place with a small but interesting wine list.
Delicious! Excellent as always - I love this place!
Our group of three enjoyed dinner on a Monday. We were well attended to by waitstaff. The menu didn't have an overwhelming selection, but it had a nice variety and each dish had something that set it above the ordinary. For example, my pork chop (very well prepared) was served with plaintain gnocchi. We've visited Sand Point Grill several times over the last fifteen years, and we've always been happy with the food and the service.
Food took forever! Server forgot a number of requests. Mistakes happen, so not a huge deal!
This is our go-to place in the north end of Seattle. It has a great neighborhood feel and an excellent menu. Our favorites include the caesar salad with white anchovies, the fried chicken, the cioppino and the reuben sandwich. Excellent bar and Happy Hour as well. They always feature a great French wine from University Wine which is in the same complex. We're here almost once a month and we never get tired of it.
Wonderful neighborhood restaurant serving awesome food!! A nice find!!!
This restaurant has a nice, cozy atmosphere. The service was good. The food was tasteless and overpriced.
Entrees were good. Beer was good. Service was good.
Desert wasn't nearly as good.
Great neighborhood restaurant!!! Found was great s x we had excellent service. We will go back again!
Great neighborhood hangout with reliable food in all price points. Very friendly and personal.
My family loves the sandpoint grill. We go almost once a week.
Great food at a neighborhood restaurant. Not fancy just great food.
One of my favorite local places. Great food, Nice family atmosphere.
You always feel like your visiting a friends house for dinner.
And the food never disappoints!!!
This place has a lovely cozy homey feel to it. The noise level is by no means loud, but a comfortable sort of background burble. The food is perfect! Like a meal your mother would make, but cooked by a top notch chef, who knows how to creatively combine interesting flavors together in new and exciting ways. Both the steak and salmon we ordered were cooked perfectly, nice and moist! (Hard to do with salmon!). Finished off with a beautifully made RHUBARB pie! (None of that strawberry nonsense, except in the caramel sauce!!). A lovely off the beaten path gem! Apparently the happy hour is great too!
Excellent mussels and Caesar salad; friendly service; pleasant atmosphere.
The service and the food were outstanding. It was my first time there but I will be back.
Neighborhood gem, for sure.
Always warm and welcoming.
Very friendly and accommodating staff.
Excellent happy hour and main menu items.
Reasonable prices for excellent quality.
Booth or bar...never disappointed.
The Sandpoint Grill is a wonderful neighborhood restaurant. The food is always good and the service friendly and efficient. Always nice for a dinner out or enjoying Happy Hour with a group of friends.
We were seated in the bar, the restaurant was cozy and quiet enough so we didnt' have to yell at eachother to be heard. Service was friendly, efficient and food was yummy!
Great neighbor spot! The carpeting helped with the noise. My 82 year old father notices noise and acoustics and he mentioned how nice the noise level was.
Family dinner and the food was wonderful. Great menu-I had the meat fettuccini and it was great. Delicious drinks on St. patrick's Day. And others raved about the corned beef and cabbage.
Our neighborhood go-to spot. Lively, warm, always good. Great service and menu. Specials, and a rotating nostalgic dessert. Best burger. Good beer on draft, cocktails
Sandpoint Grill is truely a neighborhood gem; consistently good food and super friendly service. Their fried chicken dinner is the best!
Love this place!
Excellent as always. Sand Point Grill is the reliable friend of the neighborhood. Food is often great, not just good. Tasty burgers, best plumpest mussels ever in their cioppino, creative pasta dishes. Can never go wrong here.
Very good value in a neighborhood restaurant. Good variety of menu choices. Good service. Friendly to kids without impact on other diners.
This was my first visit to Sand Point Grill, though our friends had been there several times. This is a very comfortable place that allows an easy, hear-able conversation with friends. The food is creative and excellent. Most of those at our table had the fixed-price meal which was reasonably priced with delicious selections. Vegetarians, as well as meat and fish eaters, will have good options from the fixed and open menus. The wine list also had a good range of choices with lots of bottles around $30. Service was attentive but not hovering. Overall, I was very impressed and already have made my next reservation for Sand Point Grill. It is a pleasure to find a place where we can have a conversation with friends without having to yell and still have wine and food that are delicious but not outrageously priced. Great place.
The food was exceptional. I had the grilled ahi, rare with arugula and sunchokes. Cooked to perfection and mouthwatering delicious. My boyfriend had the pasta carbonara. Lucky for me he let me try a bite! OMG was it good! I've never had this dish with peas in it but it gave it a bit of color and was a tasty addition. My friend had a dinner salad and a mushroom soup that was also delicious. I seriously can not wait to come back!
Crowded table arrangement but we were accommodated immediately for our group of 6. Our waitress was attentive and pleasant. However, the food took FOREVER to reach our table. Just over 50 minutes, and 3 of the 6 of us had Fish Tacos (excellent). The restaurant was quite crowded, but the kitchen was obviously not prepared.
