Pleasantly surprisingly little restaurant tucked away on Washington Street, Sanctuary is a neighborhood gem waiting to be discovered. The service is one of the best experienced in quite a while, with a firm knowledge of the menu, a keen understanding of timing, and the right pace to move along the meal. The food is creative, decorative, and (most importantly) showcases a good grasp of flavors and textures. The bone marrow is a staple on the Starters menu for good reason, while just about any entree is worth your while to sample. Definitely save room for dessert, which is carefully plated and provides a fresh, sweet ending to an excellent dining experience.
Chloe was a wonderful waitress. Charming and helpful. Her meal suggestions were perfect and she helped to pick the perfect wine for the meal. Steaks were done to perfection and the brownies desert was excellent. The meat and cheese appetizer was excellent and my wife could not stop talking about how wonderful the micro greens were. Overall, one of out best anniversary dinner ever.
Great food! Unique offerings and pairings with side dishes. Can’t wait to go back!
The dishes all look and taste delicious. the menu is very creative and changes often. Always a great meal.
The owner, Mike, was friendly and welcoming. Excellent service, beautiful and intimate space, and the food was creative enough to be fun and interesting without going too far. We especially enjoyed the “sexy shots” dessert - really fun to share with a date!
Had a very enjoyable meal here before heading to Theater in the Round. Excellent food and service!
The week night tasting menu is a great value and the cocktail pairing was fantastic!
Great food, service and atmosphere!
Sanctuary has yet to dissappoint my boyfriend and I. The drinks, the food, the artwork, the staff is all awesome. They change up the menu every 3 months, but keep the favorites. I look forward to my next visit.
Service was great and friendly, atmosphere was relaxing. I did not enjoy anything else. 4oz filet mignon was tough and under cooked, duck breast was over cooked, scallop was undercooked. Everything was fairly bland and under-seasoned, though, over-priced cosidering food quality. Tiny and cramped... skip it.
