Great time and great food. Menu had great entrée offerings making it hard to choose. Pamela provided excellent service and owner Michael spent time with us to discuss the operations and how he keeps the selection top notch. Looking forward to going back soon.

I really enjoy the comfortable atmosphere of Sanctuary and it's location is great for a nice dinner prior to seeing a play at the Guthrie. Will definitely go back. Desserts are heaven!

I rarely leave reviews primarily because I’m so picky but our meal was top notch from start to finish. Amazing drinks too! I will be back without question and highly recommend! One of the best meals I’ve had in the TC in a while.

This place is amazing every time I go. Staff is engaging, food is delicious. I recommend this highly whether a special celebrations or just a dinner out.

Very impressed with friendliness and service. Our server was so gracious, helpful and aware of our theater time. The food was very good. Would highly recommend Sanctuary, especially before the theater.

Two old friends were visiting from other cities, and we thought Sanctuary was a great representation of Twin Cities dining. On this occasion, that was only partly true. One visitor and I ordered the chef's nightly special (chicken thighs with tortilla-chip "breading," and it was disappointing. The other two ate spareribs, which they enjoyed greatly. Our experience was enhanced, though, by the smooth and friendly service staff. I'm inclined to regard our disappointment with the dish as evidence of a creative misfire. It certainly will not keep us away from Sanctuary in the future.

A wonderful meal! We we going to a play at The Guthrie theatre and our server was very attentive to our time restraints.

This was our first time at Sanctuary, and we'll be back! The delicious food, excellent service, and relaxing atmosphere were perfect for our pre-Guthrie dinner. My husband ordered the Norwegian trout and I the beef tenderloin and sea scallop combo; both entrees were delicious! We highly recommend the Sanctuary!

We had fabulous service. Friendly and knowledgeable. Atmosphere was truly a SANCTUARY! We thought it a great bonus to meet the Chef. We had wine, an appetizer, dinner and dessert...we enjoyed all immensely. My friend likes beef and said it was the most delicious steak she had ever eaten! I had a Norwegian fish that was prepared superbly. First time for both of us and we both will be back for sure!

It was our first time at Sanctuary. Very friendly service and delicious food. Duck breast and Norwegian Trout were excellent . Deserts are great.

Terrific as usual. We all had the Chef’s taste and it was wonderful! Chef even surprised us with an extra dessert he was perfecting (I think he nailed it!). The Norwegian Trout was superb!

We were greeted at the door graciously even though we arrived both early for our reservations and just as the doors opened. The evening was perfectly paced and completed in adequate time to make our theater date without either rushing to finish or leaving too much down time before the opening.

I now remember why Sanctuary is one of my favorite restaurants in Minneapolis. It's small and welcoming, the staff engaging and professional, and the food out of this world. The selection of options exceed what you'd expect in a restaurant this size, yet all excecuted with prescision and love. The Chefs choice tasting menu is a treat for your taste buds and doesn't leave you wanting. Overall I believe Sanctuary is the best restaurant to find high quality exciting food reasonably priced with an ambiance that cannot be beat.

Sanctuary has excellent food with an upscale, but not pretentious atmosphere. Service is top notch and the proximity to the Guthrie is hard to beat.

I brought my daughter to Sanctuary as she had never been to this wonderful restaurant before!
We were welcomed warmly and were seated right at our reservation time. Our waitress was outstanding and the opening hummus and almonds were delightful! We had the bone marrow as our appetizer and my goodness (enough said)! We made friends with our seatmate next to us as it is wonderfully cozy and we talked about how outstanding our main courses tasted! Make sure and have yourself a Purple Rain drink! YUM! We will be back again:)

Sanctuary is one of our favorite spots for a special night out. The food is always unique, beautiful and delicious!

Some of the food was cold including the scallops and the potatoes that were labeled as portions to share at the table. Was surprised with the portion size of the potatoes. Really only enough for one person.

The bone marrow was excellent. I highly recommend that starter.

Fantastic as always! Micheal and his staff never disappoint. The Baileys chocolate creme brûlée was the perfect ending to a great dinner.
