Ended up here by luck of the draw and was surprised by everything throughout the evening. Food was great with a lot of variety. The drink menu was vast with great twists on the classics and the house drinks were fantastic. However the one drawback, even at 8:30 the place was crazy loud. The tables were not oversized by any means yet to hold a conversation everyone felt like we were shouting. All being said, I will return many times I'm sure.

Cool location. Food was all pretty good, especially the poultry plate.

The restaurant itself was really dark and really loud, which isn’t normally a problem, but it was especially dark in Sanctuaaria.

I’d likely go back there with a larger group and split a few plates.

First time there, was super dope. Food was great, I could’ve easily ordered the entire menu everything was that good. Really nice ambiance. Will be back.

We've eaten at Sanctuaria several times, now. Their brunch is very original. Dinner the other night was creative and delicious. Ylena, our waitress was excellent.

Just a great, unique restaurant. If you want a change of pace and great food and service, a great place to go. The Autumn Old Fashioned was an A++++.

The food is delicious, and the wine and beer list extensive. They also have a few, but excellent, single malts. The wait staff is very helpful and knowledgeable.

The food was wonderful had 4 different tapas plus the stuffed. Mushrooms and quesadilla. The mushrooms where stuffed with venison and an herb stuffing like mixture. The quesadilla was stuffed with goat cheese and duck the goat cheese was a little string or too much of it took away the flavor of of the duck confit. All 4 of the tapas where wonderful., don’t remember there names..

Serious fans of tapas, we found the food to be not only overpriced but not that great. We frequent Barcelona in Clayton quite a bit and perhaps sanctuaria needs to take a look at their menu. We also did not like that all of our food arrived at the same time. So, it got cold by the time we were not even halfway through our meal. We like the ambience, but it was very noisy.

When we arrived on Friday night, the place was pretty empty but it didn't take long to fill up. Soon lively conversation filled the air, fueled in part by great cocktails. Everything we ordered was tasty (stuffed peppers, chips, shrimp, fajitas), and the selection of wines by the glass was great.

Fantastic service!! Originally had reservation for 10 people and our group grew. I Called a few days before to inform them of the increased size of the group and they accommodated us without an issue. The day before they even called to confirm the size of the party and to Inquire if we would need more seating. The food and drinks were amazing and our server Ben was great and very attentive! Overall we had a great experience and would recommend to anyone!

arrived at restaurant for our reservation after concert and business was locked up tight, no people, no lights. Posted hours showed open till 11pm and no other signs explaining why they weren’t open.

I frequent Sancturaria at least 2-3 times a year. The service is always top notch and food selections are good. For some reason on this visit, the beggars purse and especially the cornbread were extremely briney.

First off Sanctuaria is the name after lunch.... Thus it is Diablo during lunch hours and they close at 3:00,and reopen to Sanctuaria... This isnt mentioned in OpenTable... It was very cold inside...making for it to be a good first time experience... My tacos were not hot, for the amount of time it took to come from the kitchen (I selected 3- Baja Fish, and the 2 variations of chicken-of the 3 the fish was the best, and it was just ok). The extra for the “Salsa and chips” may have been the best and worth it, with the exception of closing it down prior to us leaving... I asked for a “Golden Margarita with Anejo Tequila with “Little” rocks, no salt” and received a glass full of ice! The restaurant was not crowded.... one other couple at the time... Needless to say... Diablo will not be a return visit for me.... let’s hope that “Sanctuaria” can do better...

Fun, causal place in the Grove. Small plate options--all with lots of FLAVOR , entrees and a separate Mexican option--but not an overwhelming menu. Impressive bar with great cocktails and an impressive beer list.

Best service ever! Waitresses are adorable and so helpful. The restaurant is fun and original. We had tapas and each one was amazing. Live music not too loud which is always nice. The decor was hysterically fun. Will come back every time I’m in town.
