Owner Sammy Gashiano started working in an Italian Restaurant at the age of 16 in Rimini, Italy. In 1995, he followed his passion to a NYC restaurant where he picked up the skills necessary in gourmet food at the hard knock school of fine dining, working his way to master chef in places like Acapella and Lorto’s. By the age of 32 Sammy established his first restaurant, San Marino, in downtown Manhattan at 15 Gold Street, which later expanded to Staten Island. Now, he’s expanded again offering his incredible food to the bustling neighborhood of Soho.
