We truly enjoyed our tasting/food pairing at Sequoia Grove. From start to finish, the experience was absolutely top notch and we were amazed at how well the wine was paired with each course. It would also be wonderful if it'd be possible to have this experience in an outdoor setting with a view. Thanks for hosting us! MoreOpenTable Diner -
It took me a minute to wend my way downstairs to the Gen-Gen Room, but it was well worth the effort. I started with an the Chardonnay that I paired with the chips and the bone marrow butter waffle. I am a chip person, so, of course, I liked chips, but, the waffle was to die for. It was the perfect consistency, and the sturgeon was an excellent compliment. I loved it so much I ordered the chocolate dessert waffle paired with a sparkling wine. It was also delicious. The service was attentive but not overbearing. The vibe was energetic, but it wasn’t too noisy. All in all it was a great experience! MoreOpenTable Diner -

Enzo Rosano grew up in a town just outside of Naples, Italy. His fondest memories of his childhood are centered around his mother’s cooking and the spirited meals he shared with his eight siblings. Mama Carmela’s amazing cooking kept her children close to home throughout their childhood and young adulthood. Her culinary influence also played a role in Enzo’s decision to enroll in the Scuola Alberghieria Culinary and Hospitality program in Naples. Upon completion of his culinary training, Enzo landed a job as bartender at Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s Vong’s in London. Next was a stop as bar manager at The Berkeley Knightsbridge, a luxury property also in London. When he came to the Bay Area, his first stop was in Half Moon Bay where he helped open one of the town’s most popular restaurants, Mezza Luna, with family friend, Roberto Giovanni. At Caffe Riace, Enzo joined his brothers and worked alongside them as they made plans to open AquaPazza in San Mateo in 2008.More

Farm-to-table is everywhere now, but it was here first. Just north of San Francisco, the values-forward counties of Marin and Sonoma offer an abundance of sustainably sourced produce. Of course, there’s more to eat in the Bay than leafy greens alone—don’t miss the mainstays like Cioppino (a seafood stew best eaten with thick-cut garlic bread), Mission-style burritos, local oysters and Neapolitan pizza where pizzerias around town war for the ultimate version. The city has long been home to distinct international flavors, so for authentic dim sum, Chinatown tops the charts. The Mission is ablaze with longstanding taquerias, steakhouses and a new wave of artisanal bakeries and coffee houses. And the Fisherman’s Wharf, while touristy, is the spot for Bay caught seafood. From there, we recommend walking to Crissy Field for Golden Gate Bridge gazing and sparkling sunshine.
