    Stopped in for a quick lunch on our way to Healdsburg. My fish tacos were substantial and very tasty. Husband had the chicken sandwich - all disappeared. Friendly service. Nice setting on the rear patio. Convenient location walking distance to shops in Calistoga.

    This has become my go-to restaurant for Calistoga. The menu is excellent, the setting is lovely, the service is the best.

    So a local here that is always looking for a place to send guests for a special treat. Experienced Sam’s for the first time last night. Celebrating a birthday. They asked when you reserve, hostess asked celebrating a birthday, yes, obligatory Happy Birthday! Ordered drinks and food a generous drop for two and no further mention of the birthday! Why ask on the reservation? Just doesn’t make sense. I had so many family and friends ask about our experience and sad to say our response was the waitress was overworked (inside and out) and no personal touch to the occasion! Such an easy fix. Costs nothing to offer a dessert.

    My mom and I come here often and everything is always great. I hope they read these reviews because I have one complaint: I don't understand why they put those pickled onions on everything, they are overpowering and it doesn't really make sense to me. I see them on burgers, salads, appetizers and much more. They are gross. Please stop doing that! Otherwise, as always everything was awesome. This was the best ceviche I've ever had, sans those gross onions.

    We ate there two nights. The first night, 27th, was over the top wonderful. Service was extremely excellent, and the food was delicious. The second night we ate there, 29th, was not so great. Our server disappeared constantly. At one point we saw him talking to a table in the corner for at least 25 minutes while we waited for food and drinks. We had to ask other servers to please help us. He really did ruin the night for us because nothing was in sync.  if I’m spending $500 or $600 for dinner, I expect service to be way better than that.

    Fabulous brunch! Everything we ordered, Salmon Benedict, pork belly, yogurt/granola/berry bowl and banana bread with macaroons was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was spot on and the ambience was lovely (we sat outdoors). We also had some of the best cocktails we have had in a long time!

    Jason was our server that night he did a fantastic job at letting us know about the amazing special they had going on such as the shrimp ceviche, and pork bellies! Both were flat out iconic. My main was just a simple cheeseburger cooked to perfection, will most certainly be going out that way again!
