   This was a lovely spot for a quiet lunch with a friend. The menu was varied and interesting. Portion sizes were just right for lunch. The waitress was friendly and did not rush us. We ate inside as it was a bit chilly to sit outside. The dining room has a nice atmosphere and there is ample room between tables.

    Impeccable service, just really nice folks. We Sat outside, which was lovely. The blankets were a bonus! Loved the corn soup, a little disappointed in the schnitzel but others liked their mains better. Would still definitely recommend for service and ambience.

    Huge potions of delicious food. I would highlight the piri piri chicken and the churros(5 to a serving). Nice cocktails. my only concern was tge utter lack of concern for covid.

    We had a wonderful time at Sam's. Great waiter, our food was excellent and the restaurant had a great ambiance. Not overly dressy, but not too casual, just right. We will definitely return.

    My wife and I went here after a tasting nearby. First time here and will be back. The service was stellar. The food was very tasty. And the backyard patio area was great for us who still avoid eating indoors when possible.

    Great food. Lovely ambience. Enjoyed a quiet brunch on the patio and my entire party agreed that their food was delicious all around. Friendly, attentive service. Returned later in the afternoon for a couple cocktails from the bar and both the drinks and the service were stellar on that occasion as well.

    We were seated at the very far end outside…no heaters, although they did provide blankets - it was still freezing. Ordered the skillet bread at the start of our meal and was told after our dinner was served that they were all out. Waiter could have cared less about serving us.

    From service to food, it's very good, however...My Wife, Mother, and Myself would have enjoyed it much more if there were more VEGAN OPTIONS on the menu! Also, we felt the price was a bit too high for the smallish portions.

    Loved this place. I made a reservation ahead for indoor seating but the evening was mild so we asked for outdoor seating. They accommodated us with no issue. The food was really good and our server Brent was very attentive. I totally recommend this restaurant.

    The churros and prime rib were under done and we were placed next to a family with two small kids after them acknowledging it was our anniversary so it was a bit louder than we had hoped for.

    Amazing food and service. We had the ceviche, lamb, and pasta of the day which were all delicious. The lamb was probably one of the best I've had in a long time. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting Calistoga.

    Love the environment, it was kid friendly but the food was very adult friendly as well as kid friendly. Great eggs Benedict good hollandaise sauce which is hard to find and the kids all found things they left on the menu to which is nice.

    Coming from someone who owns my own customer service business in New York I was very disappointed. 6pm reservation for 2 and left the restaurant before 7pm. Felt very rushed, apps came out and almost done before our drinks came. The waiter was trying to take plates and drinks before we were even finished. The waiter then asked what we wanted for our entrees and we didn’t even get our drinks yet. One of our entrees was steaming hot the other was cold. When the waiter was told he ran, not even a i’m sorry. Then came back with a dessert menu and said it’s on the chef, but we were done with the whole experience at that point. Then to top it off food was split on my purse. When the bill came, not even a drink was taken off for our horrible experience.  Hope Sam’s Social Club can learn from these mistakes and make the experience better for new customers.

    Amazing dinner! Just a little chilly outside. Don’t get seating along the building- the benches with cushions are way higher than the tables so it’s uncomfortable. We ended up in the middle of the patio and it was much better. Inside by the fireplace is quite lovely. The service is outstanding! If you love octopus, you definitely want to get it there. My salmon was cooked to perfection as was my husband’s lamb shank. We will definitely come back!

    Amazing Dishes, The Truffle Eggs are unique and elegant. The Entrees are perfect portions. Finally, the dessert menu is the most extensive and appetizing in all of Napa Valley!
