Always fun!
Once more Sammy G's came better than our expectations. The food was very good, the location extremely convenient and the waiter that helped us named Julian was again very friendly and very polite
We love this place. Always a great time. The wait staff are excellent and always ready to make suggestions and always on the mark. The food has never disappointed, the best.
This is one of our favorite dining locations in Palm Springs...great atmosphere and great food
Overall very good
lovely day to sit on the outside (shaded) patio and enjoy the PS street scene and cooling fountain. We (3) all shared a tasty appetizer, fresh mozzarella, tomato & basil. Ellis had a beet salad (I don't like beets but he said it was very good). John had the lasagna .. he wasn't impressed but then he's never had a lasagna as good as my mother's was, not even my own ;(
The waitress was kind enough to have the kitchen prepare a carbonara sauce for my angel hair pasta and it was delicious! Overall a very pleasant day and yes we'll come back soon.
Never having been to Palm Springs, Sammy G’a was selected from a web search. When we arrived, I was pleasantly surprised at the atmosphere and decor. We dined outside, it was a lovely evening. The food we had was fantastic. From the salads to the pasta to the veal dish, everything was spot on. A complimentary toast of Amaretto to finish the night was a delightful touch. I highly recommend.
Was somewhat disappointed that we were going to be seated inside. We have always been seated outside or on the verandah. Opted to wait 30 minutes for an outside table. Food and service were outstanding as usual. Would appreciate more vegetarian options.
The food was good as was the service, but the noise level was for personally, insane. Good for tourists.
Service, ambience and all dinners were excellent except for the steak. Very very tough to cut and eat. Should have sent it back but didnt. Left it on my plate. There were nine in our party so the 18% gratuity was automatically added on. This was fine as the service was excellent but they should have said when they presented me the bill that the tip was included, even though it is stated in small print at bottom of menu. Without a doubt if I added a tip this would not have been brought to my attention. We will return to Sammy’s.
Great evening out with family - great choices, excellent food and service.
Beautiful service and food!
Service was fantastic! Lacey our server was the best! Friendly and very pleasant to talk too. The food was also delicious. I took my four sisters to eat here and they can't stop talking about the food. They said they will be returning. Only down side we had was that I called for reservations a week in advance and was hoping to sit outside. When the restaurant called to confirm, I asked to sit outside and they told me they did not have any tables available. So much for making reservations in advance.
Service was appalling. Server was rude and argumentative and the waitress forgot to bring the free biscotti and amaretto. Not impressed.
My wife and I had great service and great food in a very beautiful setting! Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!
Our waiter knew the dishes on the menu all very well and made great recommendations in response to our questions. Sitting outside on the terrace was great in this outdoor vibrant plaza setting. Dessert (Tira misu) was great, and they offered us free after-dinner drinks! We tried items from all segments of the menu (appetizers; salads; soups; entrees; wines/spirits; desserts) and were not disappointed in any of them.
We enjoyed our meal and had generally good service from Julian, with one exception. One of us ordered decaf coffee with our dessert. When it came, it wasn't hot, so we sent it back with an assistant waiter, who promised to be right back with a replacement. We waited about 15 minutes and finally asked Julian about it. He went to get it. We wish we could deal with just one wait person when eating out. It gets confusing when two or more people are serving you and not necessarily knowing what each other is doing.
Always a Palm Springs staple for our trips to Palm Springs. A truly wonderful choice for dinner.
Highly recommended on all fronts.
A group of four of us were on vacation and met a local by the pool who strongly recommended Sammy G's. We have our favorite spots, but wanted to try something new since we stayed longer than usual this time. This place will now be on our favorites list. Beautiful setting, great for people watching if you sit on the outdoor patio. More intimate and romantic inside. Service is very good, if bit slow. You definitely won't be rushed. The food is very good and the prices are very fair.
Lacy was wonderful!!
Was called back to confirm my OpenTable reservation and to ask whether we wanted inside or patio dining. On arrival was able to get re-seated when we were found the initial spot too loud due to the live entertainment which was very good by the way.
Service was attentive but not overbearing. Food was excellent. Ambiance was also excellent for the group of four. We were able to visit and linger after dinner.
I had spaghetti and meatballs-it was not good and I didn’t eat it. The meatballs were dry and sauce tasted like bottled sauce. My husband had seafood linguini and really enjoyed it.
No one cleared plates and it took a very long time for the server to deliver the bill.
Very attentive waiter, good food, nice room, we'll be back!
Food took too long to come, it took over 2 hours for us to get our meal fro the time we got there
great happy hour menu, 3-7 everyday....a must try, ook forward to going back
Excellent dinner! Food was delicious! Atmosphere was wonderful! Service was top notch!
awesome time and the atmosphere was outstanding and the service was geat
Great location, nice ambiance. Food very good. Service about a "B" grade.
Authentic Italian food and atmosphere ... plus a Mel Torme’ style singer!
The new bistro height tables with open fire centres complete the outdoor dining experience
I had driven by SammyG's several times, and finally booked my reservation for a family gathering. We were seated outside at one of the high tops, where there is a built in fireplace. Great ambiance! The staff was friendly, and made us feel important. The food was wonderful, and just what we were craving. The portions were so generous that we had lunch the next day. Prices were very moderate too. I will definitely go back there on my next trip to Palm Springs. It made for a wonderful memory for my 2 grown sons, my sister, my husband and myself.
Anniversary dinner, IGNORED after seating, had to wave down staff REPEATEDLY. Never received requests, bread, dressing. So frustrating. Waiter was nice, when we saw him. Support staff rude.
Great place and love the patio for lunch and inside for dinner. Service is excellent. I would go back next week again.
We keep coming back to Tuscany Grill because the location is nice, the food delicious if you are craving pasta and we love sitting outside. On several occasions (not every time), we have also been treated to an Amaretto tasting at the end of our meal which is a nice cordial treat. I would recommend this restaurant when you are hungry...portions are plentiful.
We very much enjoyed Sammy G’s on our last evening in Palm Springs. The service was great. We tried the wine, appetizer, and entree recommended by our waitress, Lacy and enjoyed everything. She was helpful, sincere, and attentive. The night got a little chilly and we welcomed the outdoor heaters. The restaurant is lovely and a perfect location for browsing the shops and the art booths on Thursday night.
Exceptional service, food, ambience and value.
I left $0.00 for a no tip. Waiter couldn’t have been worse. Will not go back.
Food was subpar. Not sure arboreal rice was used for risotto- tasted like regular rice. Only flavor was salt- a ton of it. This is not an authentic Italian restaurant. I’ve had better Cesar salads in airports
Was not as good an experience as on previous visits. Very noisy. The veal was average, and the pizza was dry.
This was one of the WORST dining experiences ever.
The service was terrible - it took 40 minutes for the appetizer to arrive and it was only a salad. The main course was 30 minutes later and it was was wrong - we had to send it back. When the food arrived the second time it looked like they reheated the dishes and they had been laying in a warmer.
We left and had a wonderful meal across the street.
Avoid this restaurant.
