Tyler the waiter was about as good as it gets
The food I give a 6 I have the Chicken Parm , my husband had the shrimp pasta he gave it a 8 . The drink I got was the cock n bull it was too sweet so I got a regular tonic Vodka and it was delicious.
Bar was not stocked with top shelf liquor the food was not good over all very disappointed .
Not what I expected per review before I visited. The live artist were terrible, the food was poorly prepared and entries needs to be updated with the city culture.
The atmosphere was very nice and the band was great. The food was fair but overpriced. The drinks were good and strong. I definitely believe the prices are based on the live band.
Great food and ambiance. Love the music variety.
Band warmed up for an hour. An irritating mess. If the system was getting power, we don’t need “testing” of each instrument for 4 plus minutes several times each. We were asked if we wanted to have a quiet table and were told that the band would not start playing for over an hour. We did not expect this irritating noise.
The food was overpriced for what it was.
Great food and music. A bit loud and made conversation difficult. Server was really inexperienced.
Great service and atmosphere. Michael did an excellent job!!
We went to hear the jazz band that was awesome. The drinks and food were a pleasant surprise. I highly recommend the cauliflower bites and the bread pudding!
Loved it. A perfect spontaneous date night out; courteous wait staff, delicious drinks, excellent Latin music (Shekere), delicious dessert. Wishes the $40 date night special advertised outside was present on the menu provided… but we still navigated the full menu to our enjoyment. From drinks, appetizers, entree to dessert, everything was perfect for the evening. Except the coffee. :) but I can’t think of a single restaurant that actually serves a good after dinner coffee, so they’re Par for the course on that.
A definite return visit is in the future!
Always enjoy this venue. It wasn't the first time and won't be the last.
Good food, great ambiance. Server and other staff were great and very helpful.
We love it as an after the theater night spot.
The. Band was great.
I celebrated my birthday here and had a blast with my party! I was able to bring balloons and my cake. The server Michael was attentive and brought everything we needed. The band was on point! They even made a birthday tribute to me where I got on stage. It was a lovely evening and the food was great!
It was great. Great music, food and venue.
Everything was great , will be coming bsck
The gloops was horrible. I would only go back for the drag show. I ordered a burger and something on it was sour. No one at the table liked their food. I didn’t bring it up to the waitress but I noticed she showed the manager. The manager never came over and acknowledged us.
Perfect date night restaurant especially if you love live music.
Was a little disappointed by the food taste and quality. I ordered entrees I had had before at Sambucca, and I was disappointed. I went Sambucca’s in Nashville a few times, and the food was excellent. Maybe the Nashville location has a different chef, but I was not impressed by the Houston location.
Fun place to have pre-show drinks and appetizers! Great happy hour pricing.
Very disappointing. I used to love coming here. There was only one waitress which I understand due to COVID but there were far too many parties for her to attend to. But, that being said, she was not apologetic nor friendly. We only got one refill on our drinks all night. I had to ask for the check way in advance to be sure we could get out in a timely manner. The steak and food tasted excellent but we will not be back.
We went late on a Saturday. The band was very good but loud in the eating area which we did expect but enjoyed when they took a 30 minute break. The service was spotty and slow to start with. Once we notified the hostess, we had not been waited on after waiting 15 minutes, they sent a server right over.
Really enjoyed our evening the goat cheese artichoke starter was very good. The service was good, our entree’s were great we had the red snapper an sea bass highly recommend both. We look forward to returning for a little music next time.
My date had an allergic reaction to something at the restaurant.
Walked in to our reservation and they closed for the evening and did not take care of us even though we had a reservation.
My colleagues from Europe enjoyed the drinks the meal and the live singer.
Horrible poor quality food, exceedingly loud and I typically enjoy live music at restaurants or concerts and watered down drinks. Will not return and do not recommend.
Food was very good. Service was only fair - hard to get server’s attention. Live band was very good, but extremely loud. We could only talk between songs.
Very nice start to an evening. Food was very good and the staff was great.
Very disappointed in the menu selections. The food was underwhelming. Great service!
Food is terrible and overpriced. Band was super late and the overall experience was not good.
Great menu and cool space. The musical group playing was so overwhelmingly loud that every diner asked to be seated as far as way as possible over and over again as we dined. Management ignored throughout. Appetizer can with the entree and then the wait staff collectively disappeared for 25 minutes despite the fact we told our waiter we had a show to make. Plan on returning to check out happy hour and other menu items (food was delish) but not on a night with live music and sitting at the bar to avoid the poorly trained servers.
The live band was Awesome the food was great and the service was good 👍🏾
We arrived at our reservation time and were promptly seated by the hostess. There were 2 other tables of people in our section, so it wasn’t very busy. We watched servers take care of those other tables and even wait on a couple that arrived after us, but no one ever acknowledged us. After being ignored for over 15 minutes, we decided to go somewhere else for dinner.
It was a celebration
The food was very good but i wish they would expand the menu. They should offer the lunch items during dinner time. The band was very good. The engaged the crowd and the atmosphere was extremely lively and fun.
The staff was amazing and so kind. The food was awesome and the perfect price! Definitely going back soon!
It had been a long while since we had been to Sambuca's. The overall lighting in the dining portion of the restaurant was too low making it difficult to see our plates and the food. While the entrees we're good, the charcuterie board was a shear disappointment. The meats and cheeses looked as though they were purchased at HEB given it was basic summer sausage, cheddar and swiss cheese. Really guys? Lastly, and this is a pet peeve of mine where live music is apart of the ambiance. I hate listen to a band's set up and sound check while I am trying to have a nice meal. The restaurant should require their entertainment to be set up before the dinner crowd comes in...even if they are not playing for soon.
Tried 4 appetizers, a friend had the soup and another 3 had the chicken parm. The calamari was cold, the seafood dip was good but chips it was served with were stale. Goat cheese stuffed artichokes were good but also not hot and 6 stuffed artichokes only came with 4 pieces of toast. The cheese board primarily consisted of dried fruit. Soup was just ok. Really enjoyed the chicken parm which had a bit of an Asian flair. No copper cup for the mule I ordered which was a sign upon entry that this place wasn’t going to cut the mustard. Overall it was just very disappointing.
