I really love this restaurant but was disappointed during our last visit. It just didn't live up to my service expectations. The hostess seemed confused. We had to ask twice to receive a waiter. My husbands steak was AMAZING, however my Salmon dish was cold. We had a front row table in front of the band and the noise level was just right. We were able to carry on a conversation or just sit and relax while enjoying the music.
Thought there was suppose to be live music on the weekends. No live music by the time we left around 7:30pm.
We went to celebrate our 9 year anniversary. The hostess was warm and inviting. She took us to a quiet and cozy spot per our request. Our waiter Alex came to our table and introduced us to the person he was training and asked us if we wanted to order. We asked for a moment to look at the menu. When he came back we ordered cocktails and a charcuterie tray and the calamari. The cocktails and appetizers were good. Everything went downhill from here. After this we waited for drinks and the rest of our food was not edible. Eventually we flagged our waiters trainee down and requested the check. We told him the food was poor quality and he picked up our full plates and thanked us for the tip and let us know that he would not try those items himself....then brought us the bill for the entire amount. We went in excited and optimistic and left disappointed. We would NEVER go back.
Good restaurant and experience from start to finish. Before the live music started at 8:30pm, I was impressed with the low noise level! You can actually have conversation without having to yell across the table! The crab cake dip was awesome! Pork chops were very flavorful! Yes! The cheesecake was great but the crust on bottom was tasteless and not sweet at all. Avoid it at all costs and it will be fine. The music was great but not stellar. However, it did create a fun atmosphere and vibe that you could enjoy. We moved from our reserved table to the bar to finish the evening. Good times overall.
The food was mediocre. The ambiance and the live band was nice. I didn’t like that they charge you and up charge for entertainment I.e. the band. I think that should be told to you rather than it just show up on your bill
Fun and unique place. Food was excellent and staff was friendly and attentive.
Great food, great service and a short walk to the theater. We will be back.
We went for the band. The music was great. The food was mediocre. The service was lacking- especially the attempt to get our water cups filled. Took too long to flag down the waiter for our bill.
Great food and great service.
The food was delicious and the ambiance perfect! We danced to the live entertainment. The band was just perfect too. We could still have conversation and enjoy the band. Kudos to the sound guy, Nico!
My wife and I celebrated her birthday 03/22/2019. Everything was superb!!! The band, Doppleganger performed at the highest rate of musical intensity.
The wait staff was friendly and welcoming. The band was awesome. It was a lot of fun!!
Poor quality food & drink and even poorer quality service. Worst waiter we have ever encountered even after I had a word with him. For example, all drinks were late or even had to be requested, prime ribeye was overcooked and had to ask other waiters for service.
Not a good experience.
We had a great time celebrating our anniversary! Can't wait to go back!
Atmosphere was awesome. This my wife's birthday, and we had a blast. Good, and desert was good. Service, and dancing were great. People who couldn't dance worth a lick was out there grooving. Very fun time.
I enjoy lunch at Sambuca with friends. Wait staff is always attentive and friendly and the Club Salad is always fresh and delicious.
I enjoyed the food and the live music from Kyle Turner and Kollett. They did an awesome job. The wait staff did a great job as well.
Had great time. Loved the basil lemonade
The atmosphere made up for the food. steak was not cooked to order and sides were cold. Salad and soups were excellent! Drinks were also great. We tried the cheesecake which was okay and the bread pudding was burnt.
this was our first time here, I would definitely return for drinks and atmosphere.
Had a night out with the wife at Sambuca's, which we enjoyed greatly. The music was very nice and our waiter Resi was excellent. She recommended the special and other plates, also good drinks. I ordered an old fashion which wasn't right and she keep taking to the bar an bringing it back until it was to my satisfaction. That's what I call waitressing.
Service was poor. Restaurant was filthy. Musicians were not ready to perform to an over booked crowd
Loved the band and our server Alex!
Although our steaks were tender, neither were cooked to the desired temperature (both being over cooked). We continually had to ask for rounds of drinks and complained to the manager twice about the lack of service. This didn’t seem to fix the problem. After dinner we went to the bar to listen to the band and received the same slow service. Incredibly overpriced food for sloppy, poor service.
Everything was great, The service is a bit slow on initial drinks and order taking. Since we were there for the ambiance this was not a big deal on this visit.
We had the best time at Sambuca’s for an “After Valentines” date night. The reservation got us a front table and David DeLaGarza and crew were fabulous ! Everyone - from the time we were seated, to our server, and the manager checking on us, all the way to our buddy refilling our drinks - were wonderful. Waiting for the next date night, probably at Sambuca !
They ran out of lobster that was in the Premium Package for Valentine’s Day. Waiter was over whelmed but very nice.
You guys were great first timers made sure we were taken care of.
Everything was really wonderful. This is a very elegant place and I will be back.
I loved the restaurant itself along with the food BUT initially they tried to seat us at a HORRIBLE table that couldn’t see the band and faced the back of the restaurant. Then, when we finally got a normal table, it took about 20 minutes for a waiter to finally serve us (after I complained to hostess who gave us a new waiter).
All in all, though, I WILL go back because I LOVED the music and food and ambiance!
Everything was great except food. Food- (1-5) star rating.1
Food and service was good. Cocktails were horrible. We basically paid $10 for a glass of tonic water. Our rum and coke was basically coke only. As we were leaving we heard someone else complain about their weak drinks and they were told that they purposely make them very weak so that the flavor of the drink comes out. Really?? I would never order another cocktail from there again, a total rip off.
Great place for a date
Service was horrible. Waited 20 minutes for drinks after we sat down. Had to go to the hostess stand 3 times to get a waiter at the beginning and throughout our meal. We were tucked away in a dark circular booth which would have been ok for a romantic dinner but we were there to listen to the band (which I had stated in the Open Table reservation - please put us in relatively close proximity to the band). We couldn't even see the stage from our table because it faced the opposite direction of the stage and the back of the booth was completely enclosed. I asked the hostess to move us to another table if any became available. Several did while we were there and we were never moved - they sat empty for the rest of the time we were there and faced directly to the stage. I had to go to the bar to order wine. The food was good and arrived in a decent amount of time after we finally ordered. Overall I will not go back to Sambuca. Apparently customer service is not a priority.
Everything was perfect we couldn’t have been happier!
We went to listen to the band The Shapeshifters and they did not disappoint!! They were awesome! They played all kinds of rock and roll. The horn section was great! Will definitely go back and also see if we can find them playing anywhere else.
We ate 4 different appetizers and loved them all. The Froze was delicious.
Our only complaint was the $4.00 entertainment charge added to a meal ticket exceeding $100 for two people. We found the add on petty. We would understand the entertainment charge had we not ordered entrees priced $5 to $10 above market, wine, dessert and coffee. The entertainment was not as advertised. The quartet was a trio for the first hour. The fourth member, the singer, did not perform until 9:00 PM! She hung out at the bar chatting to her friend. So, we were charged for entertainment when the singer we were there to hear was not performing!
The waiter wasn’t very vocal and he rarely checked on us. The atmosphere however was definitely romantic and fun. Perfect for a date.
Good food, great atmosphere, great live music. We were a group of four people and we all loved the place. Had a great night out, better than we expected. We are definitely going back.
We went to a play right afterward and this made it feel like a really special night with our family. Within walking distance of the theater. And the bread pudding is to die for!
