We did not have a good meal at Samba. The salad bar was boring and under seasoned. The meats were all, except maybe the tri-tip, bland. In addition the restaurant was cold and drafty. The prices were VERY expensive; very disappointing. Our dinner for six people was over $450.00--not worth $100.00. We will not go again.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone
Great brunch deal.
The food was just amazing, lots of variety to choose from the salad bar was also delicious. The service was just the best, everyone was very attentive and greeted as soon as entering the restaurant.
Overall, it was good, meat was prepared right, very flavorfull, chicken with blue cheese was so good! Lots of variety at the buffet, sangria was more like fruit punch but yummy. Would recommend.
I had high expectations and was a little let down. The meat was very tasty and passed by several times. Had to beg (to several of the servers) to have a fish offering. Supposed to have both Salmon and white fish but only saw the white fish one time. Bummer because one of us at the table only eats fish, no meat. The salad bar was weak and not very many options. They also ran out of the good choices and never refreshed them. The drinks were also weak. The place is run down but the location (right next to Redondo Pier) was fantastic! Service was very friendly.
It was a fun brunch for my husband and I.
Good food, nice waitress, very loud though.
I had a good night and the service was good but the meat was over cooked and was not as good as other brizillian resturants. We were a group of 6 and and the bill was right under 500.00 I thought for that price the food would be amazing. Salad bar was small and the best part of it was the civiche and the stroganoff.
Great place. Good service. I drove about an hour and a half to get to this place and it was worth it.
this is the only year he celebrated his birthday with no crew sing happy birthday to him, a little disappointed, after i told the front desk we are here to celebrate husbands birthday., but he enjoyed the OBA dancers that were friendly.
I was surprised to have over cooked steak at a steakhouse. The service was great though. The signature drink was awesome as expected the sangria was a little watery, overall an ok experience.
I remember the food being great a few years back but this time it was just ok. The restaurant was dark and is in need of upgrade. Our waiter only brought our drinks and didn't come back till we were ready to leave. The food is way over priced. I only recommend going if you have a coupon other wise it's not worth it.
Loved the food, the service was great. I think it is a great place to go on a date but maybe not a special type of occasion. I still recommend this to everyone, this is a place that will not disappoint.
I have eaten here several times in the past. I was surprised that the cost had gone up significantly and the quality of the food was not as good. All the red meats were chewy and tough. The buffet food was just okay. Also our reservation was 3:30, and as the sun was going down it began to shine right in our eyes unless you were sitting with your back to the window and had no view. Some sort of tinted shades would have been very welcome.
Very good food good entertainment excellent service
Great customer service
I had a terrible experience at your establishment. We had to wait 30 minutes after our reservation time. Once we were seated, we waited another 30 minutes before a meat server would serve us fish. We tried to get the attention of the meat servers, but they told us to wait a few minutes. We continued to wait as we watched the meat serves continue to serve the same tables over and over again. We waited another 40 minutes before a meat server came back to our table with meat. We had finished our buffet food before we were served any meat. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and she was furious because she could not eat her meat with her food. We kept complaining to the waitress, but she did not seem to be interested and she told us that the servers could not serve food while the dancers were on the floor. The many times we asked there were no dancers on the floor. I asked the waitress to bring my wife's dessert with a candle on it for her birthday. Needless-to-say, there was no candle and no one showed to sing to her even though we heard the staff sing to someone else a few tables over from us. I felt bad for my wife because this was suppose to be a happy occasion for her and it turned out to be a frustrating evening. She said she will never go back to your establishment. If she wants Brazilian food, she will go to Greenfields in Long Beach where the food and the service is great even though they don't have dancers. There were not enough dancers to cover the more than one section at a time anyway so she will not miss the dancers.
We went there for my boyfriend s 50th birthday and they staff was so nice. We drove there from Pasadena and it was worth it. The food had great flavor and I loved the mashed potatoes. I would recommend this wonderful place to anyone who loves steak. The view is beautiful of the ocean and the Samba show was fun. Will come back here
Food was great, nice atmosphere. They were very slow in bringing around the meats (probably so you fill on the other foods). That being said the waiters/waitresses were great.
Make sure when you make the plan to go to Samba, go knowing you will need to be rolled out! You will eat and eat and eat! It's amazing. The meats are so yummy, my favorite was the bacon wrapped turkey, the fish and the spicy steak. Their salad bar is way more than salad. Mashed potatoes, beef stroganoff, chili, corn on the cobb, the list goes on and on.
Highly recommended!!
If you like the type of Brazilian meat fest really come to your table and slice meat right onto your plate and they keep it coming with all different types of grilled meats, this is the place for you. The real surprise came around 7:30 PM when the music out loud, the light started flashing, and out came three very attractive young ladies dressed up in fabulous Brazilian costumes dancing for us diners.
If you are true meat eater you probably won't spend much time at the fabulous salad bar. However some in your party or the kale eating type, they will be very satisfied as well.
Love the Samba dancers. First time we ate here the food was awesome. This second time I notice that some of the meat selections were missing like the filet and skirt steak and added more chuck. Still the house special meat on the sword skewers was the bomb and loved the swordfish. The salad and side item bar was good, really loved the Brazilian cheese balls (Pão de queijo) were so good, I had to stop myself from eating them as not to fill up and save room for the proteins. I come without the kids, dont think it is a place for them. Also got the Brazilian coctail Caipirinha and enjoyed it. Service was good as well.
It took too long for the servers to come around with the meat selections. It seems like one came around every 5 minutes or so. I've been to other Brazilian restaurants, and the servers come back to back. I ended up getting full off of the potato salad, rice, beef stroganoff, and beverages.
Food was great and service was astounding! Definitely will be going again!
The restaurant is facing the Redondo Beach pier and the ocean. It is very good. Totally in love with the calamari ceviche and the non stop meat circulating the floor. Great service and fantastic food. The view is spectacular anytime of day.
This is the first time that we dined on a Saturday night. I have been to Samba many times. When they were a "New" restaurant, 4 yrs ago or so, it was wonderful! On the most recent visit, on a Saturday, the food was great, the service was mediocre at best. And it was not at all crowded.
Also, the last time we went before the most recent time ( a Friday night several months ago) there was a MOB of people who were there for...I don't know what, but it was a very different crowd, to the point that I was scared for my children. I think there were there due to a night club scene. Basically, the food is good, still. But don't set the bar too high, and you won't be disappointed (and keep the women and children close!)
Everything was alright until the server (Pedro) presented the check with an 18% gratuity added even though we were only 4 people and they add the auto gratuity on parties of 6 and up. I still paid the total bc I'm a 20 % tipper but it was insulting the fact that the server added the gratuity to secure his tip. I brought it to the supervisor attention on my way out but he didn't have any sympathy or apology about the situation. Just want to advise to check your tab before you pay and check if they've added a gratuity on. They don't deserve to get double tipped.
This was my first time at this Brasilian steakhouse. The food was excellent. They have a great a salad bar, good drinks and the cut of meats was excellent. They had attentive staff, the view was fantastic. We seated in front of the window so we had the sun in our faces for a little bit, but after a few minutes we had the sun fadding away with the acean as the background. I have already recommnded Samba to my friends and co workers. I will definitely will go again soon.
I am a Brazilian and this was the worst Brazilian place ever.
It has nothing to do with Brazilian restaurants.
Loved this delicious place. The atmosphere was great too.
Service was slow. Servers took a looooooong time getting meat to us and when we had a request for something specific it would take way too long or. It get there at all
They took a picture of the party that was cute a different. But overall I wouldn't go again. The side dishes were no good. Box potatoes, minute rice etc I tried them all even the salad and only likes the cheese bread. The meat selections were Ok but again not something I would crave for. The waiter forgot our drinks 3 times. He was nice but at 18% mandatory gratuity bad service is not an option.
It was amazing! The food was endless and the entertainment was lively.
This restaurant is just so different. The service is always great. The food is excellent. Salad bar is great. The meat is so tasty, and you can try so many different meats! The view and atmosphere is wonderful.
Love this place and the Area
Had our office Holiday party at the 8:30 seating. It was fun especially with the Brazilian dancers strolling and entertaining each table with guests. It was disappointing to have several BBQ meats run out. The meat was not as tender as one would have expected from such a nice establishment. The desserts made up for the BBQ ...and the Brazilian Mojitos and Sangria were awesome!
Dancers only dance every one n half to 2hrs for 3_4min.. Server comes every half hour, poor service... That sums it all.. Not worth my time to write.. Can't imagine paying 50bucks each person again for this
We had our wedding and reception here and it was lovely! It's very reasonably priced for the amazing view, abundant food and private banquet room. We rented chairs for the ceremony outside and had the reception indoors in the banquet hall. It was a little cozy as we had about 120 people (it fits about 100 more comfortably), but other than that, it was beautiful. The staff went above and beyond to make our day special. I highly recommend having any special occasion here!
All the meats were well prepared and very tasty. Their buffet variety was fairly standard. Enjoyed their desserts. Ocean view ambiance definitely added to our enjoyment.
Food was delicious and the service was amazing, the different choices kept on coming...The garlic bread is to die for....
