Samba Brazilian Steakhouse & Lounge - CityWalk Ratings and Reviews
Went here for the Sunday brunch all you can drink champagne.mimosas.sangrias. I was celebrating my birthday with my husband. The hostess was very nice and attentive kept filling our glasses. The salad bar has a wide selection. The types of meat are to die for. Especially the picahania and garlic stea . Even the garlic bread is awesome!! We used a group on which made it even better deal. A must come great ambiance, kid friendly, nice bar. Seating inside and outside available a must go!!
We have dines at Samba several times, and each time we are just a little more disappointed. This last time, Saturday, July 11th, was the last straw. We will no longer be dining here when visiting the area. Before you had the option of ordering from a menu, with this gone, you are now just waiting around for the same type of meat to come around every 10-15 minutes. The salad bar is so tasteless that they should advertise as a salt-free establishment.
Love meat? Then this is the place for you. They have an all you can eat meat buffet where they have guys bring out all these different, and extremely delicious, types of meat. Eat until you can not eat any more. They also have a a salad bar with quite a few different options. Great place. Great food. Go there if you can.
It's always a treat to eat here. A little on the pricey side but it is all you can eat with a good buffet (the Redondo Beach location has a much bigger buffet selection but this one is good). There was a good variety of meats that come by every few minutes (until you use the wooden block to tell them to stop!). The desserts were excellent as well. Our server was very nice and ensured our drinks were all taken care of and always full. The manager also passed by to ensure our group liked the food and everything was good. I highly recommend Samba.
Picana steak? Yes please. Peppered steak? Yes please. Tri-tip? Yes please. The list goes on and on. and each cut of meat just as delicious as the last. Came with a group of six and each Samba was able to accommodate the needs and requests of each member of the group. Fantastic food, excellent service, Samba has quickly become my favorite restaurant. I can't wait to come back.
Great entertainment. Great vibe. Now that I have been to both Samba locations, I can only say that the meat n variety of the salad bar is much better at the Redondo Beach location. The meat was was dry n they cutters actually give out burnt pieces. Not too thrilled by eating charcoaled meat. But overall it wasn't bad with the service n entertainment
The salad bar was terrible - actually, there was no "salad" at all. There was overly dressed caesar salad, and then a number of side salads. The rice was crunchy, and the beans were bland. The meat was terrible - all of it was overcooked for the first 20 minutes. When we asked for meat that was medium, they did bring it, and it was better. Overall, our dinner was a huge disappointment, and it was very expensive. I would not recommend the restaurant, and I will not go back.
Unfortunately, the food is average at best. I will say though the Brazilian Beef and the garlic bread were outstanding - the rest so-so. The service was very good though and the atmosphere was pleasant. I just think there are better options for this type of food.
What can I say.. the meat was bad. Not tender, not a good grade of meat or fish, and no lamb or shrimp as it says on the wall. It was a smaller space restaurant than the one in Redondo and they sat us directly in front of a fire extinguisher-so if I had to get up I had to be carful not to bump my head- not cool. Our hope was to eat good food and enjoy the dancers. Well the dancers are great- but they did not compensate for the meats- Redondo beach is definitely better, meat ambiance and the view is great.
The drinks and meats are excellent. The waiters that bring the meats around to the tables are quick, attentive and witty. The regular waitresses that bring drinks and attend to the tables are slow to nonexistent. In a two hour dinner period we saw our regular table waitress twice. First she brought water and did not take a drink order, had to go to the bar. We saw her again when we hunted her down for the check, which was slow to come. The meats are properly cooked to everybody's likings from well-done, medium rare to rare. Each item is well flavored tender and juicy. The self-service food stations are extremely lacking about seven items total. The Meats however our bountiful with a large selection about 10 to 15 different meats in all, including fish.
They need more food runners. I and my wife spent a lot of time staring at an empty plate waiting for meat. Our waiter actually ending up grabbing a spit and carving meat for us. There were still several meats we wanted to try but they never made it to my table. But I have to say the biggest downside was the $17 parking charge.
My boyfriend and I went there for Sunday Brunch. The service was super slow. They hardly serve meat so we got full by eating salad. They didn't serve us red meat until we got full by eating chicken because that's all they served. What a rip off, If i wanted to eat salad or chicken , I would have gone to Souplantation or Pollo Loco.
I'd like to say my experience was great however it wasn't. The service from our waiter Chris was non existent once our table of 4 was seated and he realized I was using a living social certificate. The meat which we came there for was dry and overcooked and didn't reach our table often. I almost felt like we were singled out because we were using a discount certificate. One friend of mine noticed the server Chris attend various other tables and look away when we tried to make eye contact and ask for a pitcher of water. We had to get up and ask the hostess to bring one for us. In the hour and a half that we were there our server didn't come to check on us once. I will say that Joao Pedro was great. Joao was one of the meat carvers there. When I talked with him about the fact that we want our meat more medium rare he was quick to bring others to us. Overall the experience was not worth coming back for.
I visited on the recommendation of a relative. I have been to a Brazilian steakhouse in Brazil so of course I was comparing it to that experience. The only meats I found tasty were the chicken and pork. The steak, lamb and fish were dry, tough and too salty. I didn't eat anything from the salad bar as I wanted to try all the meats which were about seven, but nothing on the bar looked very appetizing anyway. I went on a Monday night which was slow so the service was good. The music was too loud and not music appropriate for a Brazilian steakhouse. The setting and sunset were beautiful, but I would not return for a meal.
The restaurant was nice, but we were very dissatisfied with the food. We went for lunch and the salad bar was a real disappointment. The meat was good as was the service. However it was very bland. Sizzler has a much better salad bar. Not enough food for the pricey menu.
I have eaten here multiple times and this last one was really not a good experience. The people going around with food takes a long time and keeps on bypassing or skipping my area. By the time they pass by we always get the end or small portion leftovers from other table. During the night I need to ask our table server to ask them if this type of meat can be sent and thats the only time we will get the meat we want. This is really annoying ans to be honest was really not happy with the experience and not even sure want to experience that afai.
All of the meats were either dry or chewy. The only thing that was soft was the chicken wrapped in beacon. the salad bar items were mostly flavorless but at least the waitress Kelly P. was nice and kept our drinks full. This is a one time restaurant for me, I will not be going back.
This place has great food, by which i mean MEAT lots of it. They keep coming with different kind of steak, pork, lamb, and chicken maybe more , I lost track. The meats are brought to your table and you get to look at it before deciding if you want a taste. I recommend only getting a single piece/cut for each meat or else you'll get full off the first few meats and wont get to try them all.
As for drinks, get anything Brazilian, please don't come and order something domestic your just missing the experience.
The entertainment starts at 7:30pm and consist of Brazilian dancing girls in very glamorous and beautiful Brazilian inspired attire. Yes they are dressed to flatter their bodies and they are very professional about it. They dance they even get the crowd into it and get a few people up to dance along. I only wish they add more dancers.
If you have the coin it's a solid recommendation for a special occasion.
