Always look forward at dining st Salvatore's. It was a busy evening so the kitchen was extremely slow. 1 hour before entree arrived. Steaks were slightly overdone as waiter was busy and they sat in the kitchen.
I picked up this restaurant from TripAdvisor by reading previous reviews. We went to the the venue with 6 people to celebrate the college graduation. Very big and crowded place a single man was performing live music with the participation of the guests which was very different experience for me. To my surprise the food and the service was very good. I definitely recommend it. Little bit expensive but price benefit ratio is ok
A unique dining experience, to say the least. Everything top-notch, amazing ambiance, very pricey, but a meal to remember.
My husband and I were celebrating his graduation and were very excited for a special night out. Unfortunately, our food didn't taste quite right, but wr chalked it up to a different way of cooking than we are used to. Sadly, that night we were both terribly I'll and ended up not getting to celebrate anything but the glory of indoor plumbing! Something certainly wasn't right, indeed.
Awesome service! Laurie was outstanding and very attentive. Food was excellent, would definitely go back next time we are in NY.
I made 5:30pm & requested, a table close to the entrance, because my 85 yr. old neighbor, has some difficulty walking. We arrived at 5:25. Waited15 minutes with the hostess. No diners came in. Staff just kept walking around. We were walked through 2 dining areas. The restaurant, we know , is very dark, and involved a couple of steps. Our waiter had a great personality. However, if you are pressed for time, this is not the place to go. We ordered the 3 course @ $39 per person option. So,we were not multiple courses that took a long time to eat. It took awhile to get our waiter’s attention for the check. We finally got our bill just after 9 pm. I believe the delays between our couple of courses was - our waiter had two tables of six whom were ordering drinks, ( my neighbor & I only ordered coffee/tea ), appetizers, etc. He spent considerable time with them. We both ordered the prime rib option. The menu listed it as 8 oz. It was one lb., but almost half was fat. But, the fat makes the beef have a wonderful flavor. Because things took so long, we asked for the dessert, the 3rd course, “to go”. It should never take almost 3.5 hours for two courses. Somewhat annoying was loud music & people at all the tables in our section talking loud & laughing. They were having a good time. But, we could hardly hear each other talk. It’ll be quite a while before I would return.
We enjoyed our meal there very much (and ate too much!) We would go back!
Fantastic! We really enjoyed it. Both food and service were great.
We go every year for my daughters birthday but as time goes by, this restaurant just seems to have lost something along the way. They are not at the top of their game anymore. Service was great and food delicious but they used to have little things that made the visit special.
This was our first time at the newly renovated restaurant. The ambiance was wonderful. The Bar Man ( sorry didn’t get his name) was very personable and efficient. Made a terrific Grey Goose martini. The service by Giovanni could not have been better. It was Mother’s Day and therefore the wait was exceptionally long however Giovanni was kind enough to continue to bring us updates on the progress of our dinner. Our meal was very good. We don’t believe our experience would have been as good and memorable had it not been for Giovanni and his personality and professionalism. He is an exceptional Ambassador for Salvatore’s.
I have to admit I was a bit disappointed in Salvatore's Italian Gardens Restaurant. For one, I'm a vegetarian and there are NO vegetarian options on the menu. My only option was to order the spaghetti minus the meatball (luckily they don't use meat sauce). The portion was also VERY small, and I left the restaurant hungry. For an upscale Italian restaurant, you would think they would be able to get spaghetti right, but they didn't. Honestly, it tasted like a cheap Walmart brand of sauce. My Caesar salad was also exceptionally SMALL with a couple of romaine lettuce leaves wrapped up. The salads at Red Lobster are bigger and better. Two, getting our main entrees took FOREVER. There was a big backup in the kitchen for some reason, so they offered us a free drink while we waited. Three. It also took a long time for us to get the desert menu, and we had to actually ask the water boy for them. And again, the portions were really small. As I said, I left the restaurant hungry, and won't be going back or recommend it.
First time there on mother's day and my last, repeated appolagies for the long wait to get the food, told many times of problems, spagetti was poor, sauce tasted like hunts, the chicken from Salvatores special was nothing more than fried chicken from chic fil A, the waiter felt so bad he started comping me beer.
The food is truly exceptional. We are never disappointed.
Our servers were excellent. We arrived at 5:10 pm for an early dinner since we have a one year old and got our dinner at 8:45!!! Ridiculous. Dosent matter it was mother’s day. This is unacceptable.
It is very pricey. We got a small bowl of spaghetti and a meatball for pur one year old for $18. Outrageous. Our dinners were not terrible but very average.
Always a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We have a regular server we request (Lori) who goes out of her way to make any occasion special. Management go out of their way to accommodate their guests. They check to make sure everything is perfect. Love this place. It's a make you feel good place.
We made a reservation for 2pm. I heard through another party member when they called to see if Mother’s Day was going to be a buffet and they said that the reservations were being moved to 1:30. They said they would call me to confirm and never did. We arrived at 1:30 and weren’t seated until 2:15 as we watched other folks jump in front of us. Once we were seated the food was very good and price wasn’t bad.
We went for the Mother's Day brunch and everything was delicious. There was a large variety of items to choose from and the area was organized in a way that it wasn't difficult getting your food. The lower kids buffet table was a nice touch.
Was great we really enjoyed the brunch for Mother’s Day. Food was great. Large variety of food.
We take my mother in law every year for mother's day-and we eat there occasionally. This year we were a group of 5 -past years we are usually group of 10. We sat in the restaurant area-where as past years we were seated in a banquet room. Both times, food was great and service was great-but I would say the ambiance is better up front in restaurant area. Mother's Day is always chaotic -lots of children and people moving around because of the brunch setup. But I have to say, they have it down! And they do a great job!! I am not a huge brunch fan but the food was hot, well prepared and plentiful. They usually set up a low, small table for the children also-which is nice. We will be back again soon!
We were there for mother’s day nice we enjoyed it. For 35.00 a person would have been nice to include a mimosa.
Everything was great. My wife and I started at a restaurant at the casino that was not fine dining and smelled like smoke. Our second choice was MTK prime that had paper, food stained menus on clipboards. We ended up at Salvatores for our 16th anniversary and had the best service from Giovanni of all the visits we've had there in the past. Thanks again.
The Food was phenomenal. I would 100% recommend the strip steak with truffle butter and the hot peppers. Our server, Laurie was attentive and knowledgeable. Drinks and dessert were excellent as well. First class all the way. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.
Great service and meal! We had a table with good privacy but not isolated. Our server Harry was very helpful in suggesting menu items. Everything we had was outstanding.
We were a party of nine this past Monday evening. We were a mix of locals and out-of-towners. Everyone enjoyed the food immensely, and the service was very good. Our waiter was also very entertaining. We will be back!
The food was delicious and the waitress was very nice and informative.
Great place to go on a date or for a special occasion.
Dress is casual to dressy but most people are dressed up more formal.
Service and food is always top notch. It's like anything else... you go what you pay for.
Been here several times and will be back again. Our waiter Tom P was great and made great options for my wife who has a restricted diet. The table we got was very nice and had a nice quiet conversation with our company. The 39.00 menu options were of a good value. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Excellent ambience and entertainment for a Friday evening meeting with friends. We literally thought they were playing Frank Sinatra music before realizing it was live entertainment and a guy singing. Bar for before dinner drinks was fun and lively. The service was excellent. The food is good but it probably could be a bit better for the price - however - the service and enjoyable experience overall made this very minor. I would definitely come back again.
Service was excellent. I expected the food to be better. It didn't seem that fresh. The little Yukon potakes seemed like they were sitting around for a while.
The Chandelier bar was fun. Great atmosphere, good cocktails, bartenders on point.
I would recommend for happy hour, not dinner.
Our first time visit was 13 years ago and the food and service is just as good, if not better.
Terrific experience overall. Jeff was excellent and made our evening out very specual
The food was wonderful and the service superb. Great wine list and desserts to die for.
Service was excellent and the food was even better!
It was perfect
Service was excellent! Special Beet and Goat cheese salad was wonderful as was the shrimp cocktail. I ordered the fresh spaghetti with the tenderloin meatball - spaghetti was completely overcooked and literally drowning in mediocre tomato sauce and inedible. Meatball was excellent but dish was TOTAL disappointment and overpriced. Since this is Salvatore's 'Italian Garden' - you would think they'd know how to cook pasta!
This was our 12th time at this restaurant and, as usual, the service was top-notch and the food was outstanding. They take great care of their customers and are very thoughtful. It also helps the food is outstanding and very well priced for the quantity and quality. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal and attentive staff.
Party of 13, service was out of sync. Dirty dishes not cleared between courses, soiled silverware removed from starter plates to be reused for main course
No offer of black napkins. Servers were friendly just not attentive to details
Menu lacks innovation
It's been a while since me and my husband have eaten here. We treated friends who were here from Germany, and they were quite impressed with the whole experience, especially the food. Had a wonderful time, hope to enjoy again soon.
Updated interior (since a visit 10+ years ago) is a welcome change; much more modern and inviting & less gaudy/over the top.
Food was delicious and the 3/39 deal is an excellent value.
My only negative comment is the speed of service. We sat down for dinner at 6pm and did not conclude till after 9pm. Our waitress was excellent but she had too much to do and there were several 10 to 15 minute gaps where we were just waiting around.
We did a package and the Delavan hotel is connected to the restaurant, well apportioned and very convenient. All in all a very nice place for a date night.
Get meal and outstanding service Giovanni was a great waiter
