Excellent food and service. comfortable and pleasing ambiance. Thought some menu items were a bit pricey , but it was a very favorable evening out for dinner
We were at chandelier bar a party of 4 on a Tuesday night. Wait was too long. Lobster tail was way too salty masking the naural aweetnes of lobster meat. Table was wably and restrooms way too far from the bar area. On a bright side it is a lovely decor and staff is very accommodating.
My waiter Jeff and Tyler were very prompt and knowledgeable about the menu and service. They made my Birthday and children first elegant dinner very special.
such a pleasure dining there complimentary bday dinner is a fantastic idea Vernon Thompson our host at salv had a congenial easy and professional flair
First time there celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary..Kenneth was our server. Was wonderful and so was our meal
First and, most important, Lauren, our server for the evening, was nothing less than very attentive to make our dining an enjoyable experience. Thank you, Lauren.
The food. WOW! Right from the start the chopped olives in olive oil to nibble on with the bread. Nice beginnings. Soups were fantastic. We had not seen nor tasted a better bowl of French onion soup since being stationed in Germany in the 70’s.
The main course was done to order. My wife was in heaven as she was eating her melt-in-your-mouth fillet. My gnocchi with Truffle sauce was likewise top notch.
Our dessert, given choices, was as good as anything else we tasted. Decadent and filling to the finish.
Salvatore’s is well worth the visit for an excellent dining experience with an atmosphere that is comfortable, warm, and inviting. All the staff working on the floor made you feel welcome, going all out to make our visit memorable, which is why they have earned my words of praise. Thank you all.
Was my first time there.. my wife has been there a few times in the past.. our server Giovanni was what made my experience pleasurable.. Very professional yet approachable, made sure my wife and I had everything we needed and abled us to just relax but wasn’t interrupting us... kind of “in the shadows”. The food was excellent
Came here as a part of the Amore package at the Delavan for my husband’s birthday and we had so much fun! Our package included two champagne cocktails at the bar and a credit towards dinner. We were there on Friday so took advantage of happy hour. It was a great night. Highly recommend the 3/$39 dinner and you must try the “Salvatore’s Classics” dish!
This was our second time celebrating a birthday here and I didn’t think it could be better then the first time, but it was. We sat in the section closer to the bar and live singer. It was louder, but that suited us perfectly because we came to laugh and have fun. And we did. Tried the bruschetta bread app this time and although slightly soggy it was delicious! My chopped salad was a little flavorless. Needed a touch more blue cheese. Companions loved the onion soup. Birthday boy had surf and turf and thought it was fabulous. I have the chicken under a brick and it was amazing. The chicken was so full of flavor. Highly recommend! And peanut butter pie to finish is amazing. Loved being near the bar, was very lively and fun. Just what we wanted. Our server, Ken, was on point.
We've been going to the restaurant for many, many years. It's gone through many changes during that time (e.g., rebuilding after the fire, adding a connected hotel). But the overall experience has not changed. We had dinner with another couple, ordering a bottle of wine for three and a scotch for the other person. My french onion soup was ok but nothing great. Could have been tastier. My lasagna was super. My wife's prime rib was not -- thin cut and on the tough side. Should have sent it back. The other couple didn't say anything about their food. Dessert was good, especially the cheesecake. Service was fine.
Service was excellent, atmosphere is always great. Food however could use some improvement. The prime rib was a little fatty. My lobster was tough and hard to get out of the shell, could be because it was grilled. It also was not very sweet. Disappointed in it because it was pricey.
I had a very nice birthday dinner. Lighting is an issue though. The menu is very small letters and the lighting very low so my daughter had to read the menu to me
Great service, great food. Exceptional value for the birthday meal. Everything cooked and served perfectly.
It was great food and great service. The hotel was very nice.
We went for the birthday special, which I hope they continue. The food was very, very good, menu selections were nice, and portion sizes were generous. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the ambiance was some of the best I have ever seen. The floor plan allowed for a nice quiet dinner even though the place was crowded. We were impressed with the timing of service, absolutely perfect! We will be back.
Everything was fantastic. The only thing I would like to see in the future, is a more vegetarian friendly selection. Besides salad and spaghetti (which had a meatballs), there really wasn't enough selection for non meat eaters. Other than that, everything was great.
Really great meals and service. We had seafood and steak...both were excellent!
Have been here several times in past. Food was good, as it usually is. Although the restaurant was not very busy on this Wednesday evening, service was slow. Once we were seated, it took about 10 minutes before our water was poured and someone told us that our server, Mychal, would be with us shortly. It was another 10 minutes or so before he actually did come to our table to take our drink order. It was another 10-15 minutes before our cocktails arrived. Salads and main courses came out in a reasonable time frame, as did dessert. However, this is the first time we ever had such long waits after we were seated and before the server arrived and cocktails served. It was not a good start for our evening.
Jeff did an AWESOME job. was my wifes birthday. Food AWESOME.
Always a great meal! Good service and one in our party had an allergy so they made sure everything he ordered was sans sesame. Even brought him out his own bread to be sure
The food and service was excellent. The obeisance is out dated but that could just be the style. Also the wine is ridiculously overpriced.
Absolutely fantastic. Jeff, our waiter was phenomenal as well as his support team. If we didn't live in Erie it would be a more frequent dining spot. Love it...
Salvatore Garden is a great place for dining cozy, celebrations and just good dining
The experience at Salvatore's was awesome the food was off the chart very good service waiters Busboys everything everybody was very courteous and helpful I would recommend it to anybody we will definitely be doing this again
The quality of food and service has declined and that was very evident this past Friday (2/16/18) when I took my wife here for our valentine’s dinner. We waited close to 15 min before the waiter came over to take our drink order. When he returned for our dinner order he made no mention of any specials, we had to ask and he then rattled off 4-5 specials. The appetizer and dessert were good, we settled on the tableside sea food scampi over pasta as our main dish. The sea food itself (shrimp, lobster and scallop) was just okay to borderline bland. There was hardly any scampi sauce which made the pasta extremely dry and even blander.
My wife and I dine at a few higher end restaurants a year to celebrate (special occasions) and this used to be one of them. The young man that cooked our tableside dinner introduced himself as an assistant manager. He was very friendly and did a great job of narrating while he was cooking. However, when he was done he told us to enjoy and that he would return shortly to make sure we were satisfied. I would have expressed our displeasure, but he never came back and unfortunately neither will we, definitely not worth the $$ anymore.
The artichoke appetizer was delicious as was the salmon with jasmine rice and julienned vegetables. There are a lot of options to choose from on the 3 for $39 menu. This is a great way to have an appetizer, soup or salad, an entree and a dessert all for only $39! When buying a $100 gift card we received four $25 gift certificates off the price of two entrees . We were able to have a delicious dinner for $100 including tip by utilizing one of the $25 coupons and the 3 for $39.
Our waiter mr. Uteg was extremely professional Service was outstanding and he was also very nice to both of our children I would highly recommend this restaurant to anybody for a special occasion or just fine dining I am very pleased with the service that we received
apps were cold, mains were luke warm, waiter didn't check to see how the apps and mains were, valentines day feb 14
This was the worst experience I had on my Birthday Feb 14 I made reservation through you and specified it was for a birthday. They would not honor upon being seated and had a limited double price menu which forced you to order a four course dinner. Should never patronize the restaurant again. Walked out
The restaurant was beautiful and clean. Staff seemed very friendly. I was very disappointed in the food, as my steak was cold. Also, the waiter we had was not very attentive to our table and there was a very long duration between our appetizer, soup, entree, dessert and the check. Three and a half hours was a bit much for a dinner. There were couples who came in after us that left sooner than we did. I know it was a busier evening, but for the price we paid for the food we were very disappointed in the quality and service for our first visit.
My Wife and I went to Salvatore's this past Valentines Day and were very disappointed with the experience. First, the service was good, but we felt relatively hurried by the wait staff as compared to when we've been there in the past. Second and the worst part, there was a "Special Valentines Day Menu" that you had to order from. The selections were very limited and it was a rip off. If you can believe it, much more expensive than usual. The prices of the entrees were almost doubled in price. For example, Rack of Lamb is normally $42, with this special menu it was $80. It did come with 1 appetizer, 1 salad and 1 desert. But those things certainly would not have cost $38! There was no prior notice of this when we made reservations, on the restaurant's web-site when we were looking at the menu beforehand or when we talked to Salvatore's staff about the reservations. Salvatore's seemed to just be taking advantage of people who made reservations for Valentines Day and it was just a money grab. Very disappointed and we'll go somewhere else in the future.
Amazing experience! Our servers (Lauren & Joe) were top notch attentive and very knowledgeable. Every course of our meal was full of flavor and done to perfection. Perfect for a special occasion. We can't wait to return!
What a Beutiful restaurant with amazing food and great staff!!! My girlfriend and I came in to celebrate Valentine’s Day, and what we got was above and beyond what we expected! Amazing wine menu, perfectly cooked Filet with pre cracked Alaskan king crab! Couldn’t ask for a better night with my girl! Thank you to the amazing staff who was so king and knowledgeable!
The service was extremely slow. For the price, the food was not that great. Was not worth the expensive price. It was also ridiculous cold in the dining room, which made the experience that much more uncomfortable. Would not go back to this restaurant
Unfortunately, the Valentine's Day brunch was simply not good - we had high hopes that fell very flat. The buffet was disorganized; the food the quality of what you would find at a diner. The servers were not informed about the dishes and could not tell people what they were. I heard someone call the chicken mole - chocolate chicken which made the woman gag. The kids table was substandard. And what I was looking forward to the most at the chocolate brunch the dessert table was just cheap dollar store chocolates and a variety of things dipped in cheap milk chocolate melt - along with the fruit loop dessert - it was off putting to say the least.
Came in for the brunch paid $35.00 and was disappointed the mimosa's were separate and thought you could have had french toast , plain pancakes, toast, some different types of cakes
2/10/18, me and my significant other showed as scheduled for our 5:30 reservation. We ordered the Mediterranean Octopus, a salad, Lobster bisque, the Tableside seafood scampi, as well as a NY Strip steak Entrée. I had a few issues with the services and food that we received last night. The table to begin cooking my seafood entrée was not even brought to our table until 7pm. There was a party sitting next to us who came later then us, ate, and would have left before we even received our food if they had not ordered desert. At 6:45 I advised the server that we had other reservations for an event at 8pm in Niagara Falls, and asked that he please try to get our food out, and that he bring boxes for our food as well as the check. The server then advised me that someone would be over shortly to begin cooking my food. I did not realize that "tableside" seafood meant that they were going to cook it at the table. I however, also didn't understand the significance in doing so, as the presentation was nothing special. My partners steak did not come to our table until 7:20, and my food was not finished cooking and plated until 7:25. I then had to rush the bus boy to bring our check and bring me something to package our food with. We knew we were not going to have time to finish eating, let alone order any type of desert or cocktails after dinner. We did not leave the dinning room until close to 7:45pm. Like I said, we had other engagements that we had scheduled (a concert) that was 35 minutes away from dinner, that we were late for. Also while eating what part of the entrée I could quickly eat and barely enjoy- my sea food dish was not very flavorful. The pasta had no taste to it at. Overall I was not satisfied with our service, nor the food. The Mediterranean lobster was also a bit burnt. Our bill came to $150 plus tip. I believe I could have went somewhere else and had received better services, and better quality food. I would not being willing to suggest going there again.
Great service. Excellent food!
We have dined here for years. While waiting for our table we ordered drinks. Mine arrived but where told that no pumpkin spice liquor for my wife's drink. This was not a speciality drink but off of the menu. No alternative offered and on top of it the undelivered drink was on my bill, which I had to insist was removed. Have never been disappointed until this incident. Hope management gets things back on track. Mr. Salvatore would not have accepted this.
