The service and friendliness of all the employees was outstanding. Treated liker royalty. The atmosphere was very relaxing. Knowledge of staff was exhilarating. Cost was well within reasonable considering the décor and feel of welcome. Food was extremely satisfying and well worth recommending.
We were under the impression that this would be a buffet breakfast and were very disappointed in the menu. We received an email with our allotted time (11:30-1:00) which further led us to believe it was a buffet. The whole thing, including searches on the internet regarding the set up or menu were left very ambiguous, which I now feel was on purpose (depending on reservation turnout).
The level of quality of the food was not on par with the typical food served. The toast was not even warm or buttered and there was none on the table. I have gotten more generous and artful plates at a local Greek restaurant.
Everyone was let down, it felt very much like no one gave too much thought about the whole brunch, it was Father’s Day after all.
Our waiter Ken went above and beyond making sure we had a great experience . We shall return again.
The best restaurants For food service very friendly staff beautiful design everything is so perfect
I bought a package to celebrate my 50th birthday . I was treated well by the hotel staff. The shuttle service was exceptional! The restaurant was superior on every level! The service, food and atmosphere made my special day one I will always remember. I will be back for another occassion!
Another enjoyable evening at Salvatore's Italian Gardens, with good service and great food, on our 61st wedding anniversary.
Excellent way to celebrate a birthday. The food was delicious, the service attentive but not intrusive or lurking. And really enjoyed that the cozy atmosphere.
Our server Jeff, was very competent and saw to our every need, but my steak had to be sent back twice due to improper cooking. I received my colorectal plate after my wife had finished her dessert. I’m disappointed, primarily because we’ve come here often.
everything was great. Our waiter was very attentive. The only thing I would like to have seen is more options with Chicken. I really thought I would have seen a chicken piccata or something similar.
Amazing. Osso buca was one of the best i ever had. For a high end restaurant the prices are reasonable.
The waitress was great
Service and food both great! We can’t wait to go back!
I love Salvatore's...great great best tasting food! great atmosphere for groups/family/couples. Last time we were there we did experience a wait of 1 1/2 hrs for our food...not common at all for this restaurant. We didn't order any appetizers or salads...just our entrees, which is not a normal thing for us. The cooks must have thought they had more time, not knowing we only ordered entrees...which is why I'm thinking our entrees took so long. I asked the manager about it and that was the first thing he asked, "you didn't order any appetizer or salads?" I said no, just our entrees and he said that may have been the problem. So if you only order entrees, be sure to have the waitor mention it to the cook! They of course totally made up for it...gave us a free entree! Yeah Salvatore's! Will always go back and recommend this restaurant! I knew they wouldn't let us down!
The food was great, Annie the server was exceptional.
Beautifully decorated. But really bad service, food was not how we ordered. And my waitress spilled water all over me and didnt help to clean it up.
Completely different experience than 3 weeks ago. I had written in that review, it would be a very long time before going there again. But - when I found out they had a free 3 course@ $ 39 birthday dinner, I couldn’t pass it up. In May, in 3.5 hours, only served 2 of the 3 courses. It was so late, requested the dessert to go. This month, all 3 courses & got the check in 2 hours. May- requested table near entrance- taken to a 3rd walk thru dining area. June-seated close to entrance. May- busboy came once to table. Busboys grouped together talking among themselves. June- 5 times our & other busboys came to table. May- background music very loud & other tables in a party mood-loud talking & laughing. June-music tuned down & other diners talked among themselves, not distracting others. We ordered the exact meal. May- prime rib was better, good flavor & tender. June-a bit tough, not much flavor. But, the service was very attentive & that improved the dining experience immensely.
The special three course menu is terrific. It offers an amazing Vermont salad, choice of entrees and a dessert. There are quite a few choices. The staff are all very friendly. I have had the special quite a few times and it is always special.
The quality of the food was on par with meals I've had at expensive weddings, and the decor matched. It's def not cheap, after a -$50 coupon my bill was still close to $100, but this isn't a place you go to skimp. When you're ready to go all out for something that's a sure bet Salvatore's won't let you down. And please pronounce the last "e". It's an Italian word for dog's sake.
They made our daughters graduation dinner very special. Everyone was very polite and always had a smile. They congratulated our daughter on her graduation and made sure the service and the food was perfect. French onion soup is to die for. The food is 5 STARS . It is worth getting dressed up and going to Salvatores. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT .
The wife and I finished our medical residencies 10 years ago. Have not been to Salvatore's since. The hotel has gone through many changes since then. Personaly we felt the changes were not that warm. I get the feeling Old man Salvatore is not there any more.
39$ special dinner I asked our server how come no steak with that plan. She answered you are paying only 39$ you want a steak for that price? It seemed a little rude. But, she does not understand that we live in Beverly hills California which is prime USA location. Homes are between 5-128$ million. And yes best steak houses for 40-45$ you get a steak dinner with salad/soup.
Anyway, in would recommend people for your restaurant but there are others that warrant a try.
We went to Salvatore's on Saturday night to celebrate our daughter's academic achievement. We had been there twice before for special occasions and though we knew what to expect:
- the odd decor/statues
- the strange displays in the washrooms
- the great service
- the great wine selection
- the great food
The service and atmosphere were 'as advertised', but the food quality has dropped significantly in the 3 years since we were last here. The charcuterie platter - previously rich with 'house-made' cheeses and 'house-cured' meats had one chunk of store-bought cheese, a few meats that looked like they were from Costco, and a bunch of filler in between (a couple mini-tomatoes, a pile of lettuce, and those peppers you might get at a Chile's, or Olive Garden. We ordered escargots to go with the charcuterie - big mistake: under-garlic'd and 'mealy'.
We invested in a bottle of wine and drinks before the meal, so we opted for the '3 for $39' special for our meals. The appetizers got mixed reviews: the Vermont salad had too much dressing on it for our liking. The Caesar salad and mushroom soup seemed to be well-liked.
The real disappointment was the "Classic" entree. Here, you are given a 4oz steak (which was enjoyed by all 4 of us), but a tiny portion of pasta, and what can best be described as a 'previously frozen, out of the box' breaded chicken. Absolutely flavorless and of a cardboard consistency.
Desserts and lattes were good all around.
Total bill was over $350.
For the distance we traveled and the price we paid, were were left very disappointed. An evening of celebration instead became a discussion of how much we spent for the lack of quality we received.
We won't be back. There are other Italian restaurants that we'll favor from now on.
I've visited Salvatore's Italian Gardens several times and have never been disappointed. The service is outstanding, and is enhanced by the excellent wine and entree selection. The spaghetti with tenderloin stuffed meatball was very tasty, my wife really liked her Salvatore's Classics plate, and our son even liked his Chicken Fingers.
The waiter and staff were perfessional. Excellent service. Food was just okay, a bit on the expensive side.
We had a a special anniversary of 50 years together, it was wonderful to have a elegant evening and dinner was fantastic! I do regret not spending the night at the hotel, part of your special offer. Thank you.
Nothing short of Fantastic! They went out of their way to make my aunts birthday very special! The excellent service started and ended at the front desk when you check in for the dinner reservation! I must also recommend the 3 course dinner for $39 dollars... It’s an excellent value!
Food was delicious as always and our server was outstanding!
The food was ok for the service average and the music was way to loud... asked to turn it down several times and finally they did... have gone to Salvatore’s
Many time but this was not the best experience unfortunately. But I will try again.
Excellent service and food. Birthday $39.00 and Wednesday 1/2 bottle wine highly worth it and recommend to all my family and friends.
The food was excellent. Staff were very polite and attentive but not too attentive that you don’t have privacy.
we were there for a wonderful dinner and an amazing night at the Garden Place Hotel. We will back
Salvatore's never disappoints!...Great food, service, & atmosphere. Jeff was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Will return for sure!
Very disappointed! Decided to try Salvatore’s following my daughter’s college graduation because I had heard good things about it. Unfortunately after sitting in a stadium for 3 hours and driving 90 minutes before that the last thing we needed was to wait longer. We ended up being there for over 2 hours. We had minimal drinks, only 2 salads, and entrees. I would have like dessert but it was simply too late and none of us wanted to wait any longer. I was not impressed with the food either. Most of it was good but nothing that “wow’d” me and portions were smaller than I expected considering the menu prices. I will not return.
Not good. Overcharged. Took 5 attempts to get bill rt. Amounts differed by over $93!
Excellent Dinner for my wife, children and grandson. Celebrating my sons graduate degree. A good time was had by all and the service was old school. Perfect dining experience that is hard to find today. No rushing just enjoying. Congrats Salvatores!
Expensive because waiter did not state prices on the specials.
Our waiter KEN was just great, he help make our day, even more special,, SALVATORIES has and always be a great place for special times
Haven’t been there in a while it was food to be back
Thoroughly enjoyed the Napa chicken, ambience is pleasant, serene. Great staff, cordial & pleasant. Had a celebration dinner of six. Enjoyed by all, nothing to complain about at all. Dinner was perfect.
The service wasn't very good, waited 10 minutes before a server attended our table and another 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive. The moscow mule we ordered did not contain the ginger beer, by the time our server came with our food it wasn't even worth complaining about the beverage. We ordered the truffle fries as an appetizer which tasted very dry and seemed 'left over' or 'old'. The stuffed meatball that came with the spaghetti seemed dry as well, very difficult to cut through. To top it all off, we had $125 in gift certificates that we were told by the front desk were for Salvatore's - when the bill came, we were told they were for Russell's! Disappointing experience, at this point my girlfriend and I are making the joke that we paid $100 for a glass of wine as that seemed to be the one thing enjoyable about the meal.
A wedding anniversary dinner for 2 that ended up being a total bust!! Took almost 10 minutes to get a drink at the bar, despite having two seats directly at the bar. All 3 bartenders seemed like they were ignoring us. When it was time to go to our table, we were led to an "overflow" dining room that was a converted banquet room filled with tables for 10-20 people each. So much for a romantic dinner for 2. We felt like we were eating in a school cafeteria, it was so loud. Our waiter took our dinner and drink order, but it was about the last time we saw him. A different staff member brought our drink order and a different waiter brought our meals. It was an inordinately long wait for both. The entire place seemed like it was way under staffed for a Saturday night. After paying a $120.00 bill, I left a$5.00 tip to show my displeasure, and we left very disappointed. They should have never booted the "Old Man" (Russell Sr.) out of the place!!!
