Great menu options; food well prepared; server was very helpful!
I love this place! Has a cozy atmosphere and diverse international selection of foods to try!
Had reservation. No table available. Had to sit outside in a semi-heated tent because we did not have time to wait for a table to open. Hour wait for food after ordering! Missed most of the game we planned to see. Been there before and was glad to return. Won't happen again any time soon.
Lukewarm food was served. I told server mine was barely warm. She said she would bring a new order. My boyfriend decided to eat his anyway because he was hungry but he was not impressed. After about five minutes the server brought me a new plate with the same beans (but in a dish instead of on the plate), the same tamale ( I knew because I had taken a bite out of it), and rice (boring and dry). The food was warmer but still not hot. Of course they had microwaved it after putting on new plate. The tamale was horrible. The meat was so dry and tough I had to take a bite of beans with every bite of tamale to be able to swallow without choking. I should have sent it back again and ordered something else but at that point I was hungry and did not want to wait. Very very disappointed
The cook walked off the job just as we were finishing our first round of drinks so we didn't have a chance to eat. The waitstaff was very apologetic and the round of drinks was on the house which was nice, though we were disappointed that we couldn't have dinner there. I would suggest shoring up the back of the house a bit. Front waitstaff was great.
Good food. Be ware of their infamous 🔥 ball appetizer. It is truly hot!
We sat in a booth in the bar, the perfect spot on a rainy night for the tasty hot toddies. Our waiter was quite helpful in choosing the best dishes for each of our preferences, from vegan to carnivore. Good time!
This is a unique restaurant. It amazes me how they can offer such a large and varied menu, and execute the dishes so well. We'll be back.
Food was not good.
I usually dont write reviews, but the food at this place was amazing (except the bulgogi tacos. They were really wet and the meat was to... something). We had the pork shank, the heart fett, and the garlic lime soup. All was amazing but the soup was phenomenal. The service left a little to be desired though. I am a server, so maybe I have high expectations. They weren't rude or anything but we got food with no utensils or napkins to use. They were so rushed because they were busy that certain things fell through the cracks. Like smiling. Not touching your hair when you are about to serve food, a greeting at the door, or a "we will be right with you". I think that a little more attention to detail would go a long way, requiring the staff ( men and women) to pull thier hair back. Table maintenance. Things like that. I will definitely be back when I'm in Portland.
We have been dining at Salvador Molly since it opened. It was great for many years than kind of took a downward turn for awhile. The new ownership is bringing it up to how it was at the beginning. We had a great time and everyone enjoyed their food and the place.
Nice, casual restaurant with great food and drinks.
Let me start by saying I am really, really picky when it comes to dining out. It’s not that I’m a picky eater but I’m often disappointed because the quality of the food is not worth the money spent. Or food is overly salty, veggies and meat over cooked, or served cold. I guess you could say I have high expectations of restaurants!
We went for my daughter’s 20th birthday. We ordered the Kailua pork, the Barbados steak, the curried shrimp, onion rings, and an order of cheesy balls. Everything thing we ordered was DELICIOUS! The place was packed but we had made reservations so our wait was short. The servers did a great job considering how busy it was. The caddy daddy margarita is excellent! I only wished that it was a bit larger (it was a small glass with lots of ice). This was the first place we’ve been for a special occasion where everyone in the family said they’d like to return.
Yummy food! So many options, it was hard to decide!
Always great! Every time... it’s relaxed. The food is super fresh! Don’t be in a hurry
My gf recently became a vegetarian and I don't always check if there are things on the menu that she would like. We both loved the tofu sandwich (I had a bite). I ordered the street tacos (Yucatan chicken). For the app we had sweet potato fries. Both sauces are tasty, one was pretty spicy, the other was vinegar-y.
I remember going to the location that was off SE Belmont in SE Portland (34th Ave).
Always a treat to dine at SM's. Service wonderful and very friendly!
We have been here several times but finally have decided the terrible parking situation isn't worth the food. If parking ever gets better, we would return.
The pitcher of margaritas is such a good deal and they are very tasty!! Our friends completed the fire balls challenge and everyone had a great time :)
Our table server was awesome! Thank you Meesley. Had a great time, sat in a booth and had no problem talking without load distractions. Food was good, look forward to going back!
Our waiter was fantastic. The menu is diverse and fun. Lots of Gluten-Free options! Great place for squirmy kids. We brought our 15-month-old and he is in an energetic phase. The ambiance and noise level is perfect for taking kids and not feeling like you are ruining everyone else's night.
Excellent lunch with good service. Diverse menu offers something for just about anyone. Great seasoning and flavors on all our dishes. Decor makes the most of their limited strip mall location. Will return on next trip to Portland
I was disappointed that the menu had changed so much. The two items I usually get and know I would be satisfied with, we’re both taken off the menu (potato wedge appetizer and peanut butter burger). The meals we did order, which was the steak with green sauce on it, made us sick in the middle of the night. Super disappointed- it will take a while to return to this restaurant.
The food was “ok” but nothing memorable. Bland food. The house made hot sauce just burns your mouth but has no flavor. Quite honestly I’ve had better food at a chili’s
Very interesting diverse menu. Lots of options. Hip music in background. Did their hot pepper challenge and now have pic on wall. Don't recommend for anyone else unless you are hot pepper freak like me.
My wife and I both enjoyed our meals. I actually had difficulty picking out what to eat because there were so many items on the menu that I love. We'll be back again and again.
Incredible menu selection. Great flavor. Awesome service. We would appreciate another location on the east side of town like Gresham.
Out of town on business and this was easy to get a last minute reservation on a Saturday night (red flag). Unfriendly waiter never checked back once (had to go find my own catsup). Moscow mule was good, but no garnish at all. Others at the table liked their meals okay, but my chickpea burger was mushy on a stale bun. The manager (owner?) did check in with us, which was good. But there's too many good places to eat in Portland. I would not come back here.
We loved the ambience and food. Casual and cool atmosphere.
One of the most under rated Portland restaurants. Go here and eat literally anything. You’ll be happy you did!
Great food as usual!
Six of us dined at Salvadoe Molly's. We had a great time. Service was excellent...as were the drinks. The food was good. Lots of choices...many of them are spicy options..but all in all..a real eclectic menu. Everyone should be able to fine a menu item they like. The place is funky but comfortable. Dress is casual.
We definitely plan to return to Salvador Molly's.
Our server was terrible. If we wanted our dinner and drinks we pretty much had to beg for them. Hubby received his dinner 10 mins after us. We had to chase down the waiter for dinner, drinks, great balls of fire challenge picture and our check. We were a table of 6, maybe that was too much for him. Terrible service and we won’t be back.
LOVE this place!! Great gluten-free options and a friendly and helpful staff.
We all loved what we ordered trying new dishes with their unique menu. From the homemade sauce to the desserts everyone in our party was impressed. Will be going again. Service was friendly and great. Went with 2 families and even the kids loved it.
Absolutely loved this place. Food was great and menu as eclectic as I’ve ever seen. Really recommend this for quality food and cool drinks/atmosphere.
First time there. Great food and hospitality.
Good food, good service, reasonably priced
Fun spot to eat! Service is fantastic.
Always good - never a bad meal. Thumbs up for access on opentable!!
