Salute! Ristorante - Enoteca Ratings and Reviews
This is just a very nice restaurant. The food is really tasty and well presented and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Their lasagna is especially delicious. More people should discover this lovely Italian restaurant right in the heart of Sarasota. There are four places to eat - outside, the covered outside patio, a
very nice bar and more formal dining inside. Try it - I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
This restaurant is one of our favorites over the past few years. However, it started to fall back a bit as our "go to place" with last year's music group (too loud, not conductive to the atmosphere) and a light bar that shined in our eyes. This season the music group is changed and more in keeping with this lovely patio style place. We still asked for a table away from the music which turned out to be enjoyable. Do try the Dover Sole, specialty of the house.
Nice meal. Fish very fresh and a chicken dish tasty. Wait staff accommodating and outside dining was fun however the Italian opera music clashed with the band next door. Nothing to do about that. One note to restaurant - I would rather pay $12 for an 8 oz pour that $9 for a 6 oz one. Be bold and pour a larger glass of wine than everyone else does...
Excellent We hadn't been here in a couple years and we are still wondering why. The food was great. Had the burrata appetizer special which also came with procuttio and melon which was an added bonus. We had the rack of lamb, grilled shrimp special and both were excellent. The waitress was on spot and very nice. Will definitley be back soon.
We enjoyed Salute. The food was good, the service was very good, and the music was so nice because you can hear it in the background and not interfere with talking. We would recommend it. I particularly loved the caesar salad. Their mixed drinks are good as well.
From the moment you enter, you are greeted with warmth and smiles. We sat inside in a wonderful room with white tableclothes, windows overlooking Lemon Ave and twinkling lights. Wonderful tasty appetizers. I loved the Trio with tampanade, fresh Italian Olives and toasted bread. Their lasagna is cooked to perfection. And the homemade papardelle with mushroom sauce - divine. The tarimisu and cappuccino were perfect. We all loved this gem of a restaurant. Live music outside. Great bar inside.
Have been to this restaurant many times and enjoyed it. However, on Saturday night my family was in from out of town and we were celebrating my birthday. I suggested Salute and was very disappointed. First of all, we were given our menus and the waiter took our order but never mentioned Savor Sarasota menu. We found out about it from the table next to us that was offered the menu by another waiter. After ordering appetizers, which were fine, three of us ordered for our entree the agnolotti. The pasta was supposedly homemade but the dough was very thick. Three of us did not enjoy it at all. The Veal Saltimbocco was very good and the risotto was OK but not exceptional. What I expected from Salute definitely did not meet my expectations. A disappointing evening for my whole family.
Salute had been of one our favorite Italian restaurants.
The previous time we were there our experience wasn't so good.
This visit was the Salute we had always enjoyed. Good food and service.
We brought friends there for their first time, and they also enjoyed it.
We have been here twice, the first time with family including a 9 year old picky eater; both times everyone enjoyed their meals. Service was excellent, they had live music which was quite nice, and their menu has a variety of price points and options. We were surprised the first time and very satisfied with our second experience so I can really recommend this restaurant. Its outdoor patio is very pleasant.
Took advantage of Savor Sarasota. Good location. Calamari as an app was very good. Salad was disappointing. Husband enjoyed the salmon much more than I did. Tiramisu for dessert was delicious. Needed more chicken options on fixed menu, as well as vegetable options. If we come back will order from regular menu.
From the moment we entered, the service was prompt and professional. The food was outstanding - best Veal Marsala I have ever had in Florida. The service by our server Danny was courteous, with recommendations for our meal. I highly recommend this restaurant.
We've been to this restaurant several times and had always been quite happy with the food and the service. Although this time the service was adequate, the food was quite disappointing. The lasagna had been overcooked to the point that the bottom layer was hard. Trying to cut it with a knife was difficult. Perhaps they forgot to lay down a layer of sauce first. The chicken parmesan was okay but not up to Salute's usual taste. The cannolis were hard as rocks. We wondered if perhaps the restaurant had changed hands or cooks. We didn't recognize any of the servers or management from our previous times. We may give Salute another chance but we were bewildered by this last experience. We had been fans and recommended them often. We're not so sure now.
