Salute! Ristorante - Enoteca Ratings and Reviews
There consistently were long waits for food/drinks among may patrons. One couple waited 45 minutes for an olive appetizer and waited 10 more minutes before walking out. We waited at least 45 minutes for our food. It’s a nice place but they need someone to run a tight ship here bc service is everything!
Nice location and ambiance. Good service and fabulous live music. Food was so so. My company had the shrimp special which was over cooked and dry. I took a bite when he mentioned it and it was very over cooked which was a shame as it was an interesting dish. Our starters were good. Buratta for me.
But I would go bs k for the duet. The woman singing was fabulous and the songs chosen were great.
Was good for family getting together with young teens and a grandma
Service little slow but pleasant
They sat us in quietest place in a restaurant that’s noisey outside. Loud music
Food was good and everyone finished all dishes
Good everyday meal not very special
This dining experience was by far the most disappointing experience I have ever had. We came here to celebrate my mother’s 75th birthday and what a mistake with so many quality restaurants in Sarasota. The service was so bad and slow, 25 minutes to get 1 drink. 3 hours for dinner. Wrong orders delivered, my wife ordered Dover sole that was supposed to be deboned tableside, which it was but not correct. The fish had so many bones in it my wife had to stop eating. The manager and owner were not helpful at all. I was told they were busy with people showing up late for reservations! Unreal
It was the worst - waited over an hour for our food at the bar and then everything came at once - appetizer and dinner. Said I was allergic to shrimp and ordered grilled shrimp and grilled calamari and said yo eliminate the shrimp. - said no problem and it appeared. We left and didn’t eat - never been treated so bad and have been there many times. Never again
We all loved our food. From the warm brie and pear appetizer to crisp and fresh salads to each of our different dinners we couldn’t have asked for better food. There was a band named Georgia and Mike the night we were there. They were absolutely fabulous. The waitress was friendly and attentive, as was the manager. We will go back.
Valentine’s Day....they added several tables and FOLDING CHAIRS outside. Service was very slow. Sides came at the end of our meal. Server couldn’t find wine glasses. No knife for the veal chop. Server got the check wrong and couldn’t fix it. Manager couldn’t come to our table. Server told us “just don’t leave me a tip”.
Valentine's dinner was very good but the service was a little slow. I don't think they had the staff to handle the amount of patrons. My initial drink order took a while and the draft beer was almost room temp. I didn't send it back because I felt bad for our waitress who had to many tables. The food was excellent. I would go back but managers need to staff properly.
Food was excellent. Our server Christina was wonderful, although clearly overburdened. It seems to me if a restaurant is going to expand seating for an occasion (like Valentines Day, for example), staffing should be expanded proportionately. We had to wait far too long for wine glasses to be refilled and to get our bill.
Our server was great and she was very attentive throughout. The mushroom risotto was very bland and boring, ceasar salad tasted like old lettuce or that it had been in the refrigerator for a long time, the milanese was dry, the linguini and clams ok but nothing to write home about. The cosmo was really bad but the negroni was excellent. Overall, not a good food experience. I have to say that the ambiance was good and that we had a great table on the covered patio but we went more for good food than for the ambiance.
This restaurant would normally get a better review from this diner, but the night we dined, the kitchen service was extremely slow. It took nearly 50 minutes to get our entree. I spoke with the owner who apologized and told me that he was short one member of the kitchen staff that night. I will give it another try as the Dover sole (which eventually arrived) was delicious.
Have eaten there numerous times before and the food has always been outstanding. However this time it had little favor. Actually asked the server if the original owner had sold, she said no. Maybe just a bad day, would give them a second chance, hope it's better next time.
We found this restaurant while staying in Sarasoata. It was within walking distance of our hotel. The building is set back from the sidewalk with the tables arranges in front. There were lights strung on trees and awnings, plants and heat lamps and a jazz trio -all coming together to make for an amazing ambiance. The service was very good with several people tending to our needs and the food was delicious. I highly recommend Salute! Ristorante for your next meal.
Service was slow. They forgot the dressing for one of the salads. They misrepresented a wine on their wine list (bait and switch); they said it was one excellent wine from that vineyard, but when it came to the table it was one of the lower quality wines at a high price. Pretty disappointing overall, but the band was excellent!
While the food is great, the entertainment on Fridays and Saturday nights is amazing. The two who perform there are fantastic and so much fun. Only reason service was marked down a bit was that it was a bit slow. Our waitress was fantastic, but I do not think they were staffed for the number of people there.
