Staff was great, owner came by to visit, wine list could use some continental flavor but still very good...tapas were wonderful.
The most striking thing is that the staff seemed to love the place as well.

Server was not very knowledgeable about the food. Had to keep pushing him to ask the chef questions because of food allergies. Food tasted good, but the wait was too long for the amount of people at the restaurant, aka not very many.

Meh. Food was just okay for the price point. I was underwhelmed. Hummus Nachos are overpriced for literally hummus on 4 pita chips with balsamic. Nice novelty and tasty but even at happy hour pricing they are steep. Salmon entree was fine but again overpriced. The vibe here was cool and it would be a good place for drinks but they are falling short on the food. The highlight of the evening was the Citrus Mistress IPA. I'd never had it and it was fantastic.

I will go back to chill on that patio and enjoy a drink, but I won't be considering food.

Very vegan/vegetarian friendly, the wait staff was very accommodating and the food was served fresh and fast. Good place for a casual first date, and quiet enough that we were able to have good conversation.

Not sure what happened but my complex salad showed up as a bowl of kale with some shredded salmon. Somehow the chef left out the corn, asparagus, dried tomatoes and other fixings! I initially thought they brought me the wrong dish...really an odd experience.

The overall experience at this restaurant was positive, except for one aspect. The drinking water I received tasted/smelled like mildew. I asked for a new glass and the server told me that, yes, their tap water was bad, but that if I wanted water, they did have bottles available for $3! (Oh, but they're the BIG bottles, she assured me.) I found this appalling - they know the water is bad, but don't have any other solution except to make the customer pay for bottled water? This isn't a fancy establishment where several selections of mineral water are offered. It's a basic establishment where complimentary tap water is expected. Surely, there's a better way to resolve this issue.

Maybe I've watched too many episodes of Chopped, but when the Mac & Cheese Bites appetizer showed up (4 balls, not 5 as on the website) and were woefully underseasoned - no salt at all on the fried crust, no flavor at all in the interior - I should have found somewhere else for dinner. But we went for Restaurant Week and stuck it out.

My $44 prix fixe selections, hummus nachos, seafood pasta, and absinthe gelato, were by turn decent, wretched, and puzzling. The "nachos," two (not the website's 5) fried pita triangles each with a scoop of hummus, had the most flavor of the night. The seafood pasta, advertised as "Fettuccine pasta tossed in a lemon and white wine sauce, loaded with mussels, crab, shrimp and squid, topped with grated Parmesan cheese, served with garlic toast," was awful. The "sauce" was sticky, with no hint of lemon or white wine - though slightly more flavor than the mac & cheese. Also missing were any recognizable mussels, crab, or squid; I found one tiny bay shrimp. In their place was plenty of "krab: a processed seafood made of starch and finely pulverized white fish, shaped and cured to resemble the leg meat of snow crab," and as off-puttingly mushy and tasteless as it sounds. There were some slivers of white, maybe "skwid." I left the krab uneaten, along with most of the dish. The server said the chef asked why; I said "mushy." (The Noble Bread it came with was fine.)

My bad for ordering a dish not on the regular menu? My bad for not immediately sending it back? Maybe, but one expects a certain standard of restaurant week meals and I wanted the full experience. (My wife's Pistachio Salmon looked better; she said it was fine.)

Which brings us to the house-made "absinthe gelato." We got two mini-Mason jars with what could only be called deep-red strawberry granita, smothered in whipped cream. WTF?

For the same price we could have gone to Christopher's or Vincent's. I'd heard raves about Salut on Check Please!, now I know better.

The food was very good. The cookie desert was delicious. We really liked the Sunday half off wine special. It is a good fit for a 20-30 year old crowd. The prices are a bit high and the waiter was good except for the tendency to upsell everything.

Salut Kitchen was recommended by my daughter. At first glance, it looked like a college bar - a bunch of young guys sitting at the bar, tattooed wait staff, fairly rustic interior - but when the food came it was like being in a 5 star restaurant. Portions were reasonable sizes, everything we had was good (I recommend the pistachio crusted salmon), and to top it off we caught them on a 50% off wine day. Prices are a little on the steep side but well worth it.

I had a good time being with friends but a little disappointed when checking out. We had a group of 9 + two babies. Didn't realize that we were automatically charged 18% gratuity (wasn't told this when making the reservation or when we checked-out) so many of us left an additional tip (18 - 20%). It was noted on our itemized receipt & bottom of the receipt we signed (will teach me to review my receipt thoroughly before signing and I should have realized with a larger party they would auto. add in gratuity). I think $32.00 is a little much for a hamburger, FF & cranberry juice; don't think we'll go back. Server was good and did give good service.

Ok for a beer and burger during a ball game
Reviews looked good, but it is more of a beer joint. Chief the bartender is a nice guy. Hummus platter had 2 dips os hummus about the size of a ping pong ball. Celery and carrots were dry and wilted. Beer and TV were great.

Been here many times and love this place. We had Sunday brunch and had a great time. However I felt that the menu was a bit limited. I would have liked a salad option to choose from.

As one of my favorite places, I suggested Salut for a business lunch. Sadly, it was a disappointment. When our waiter took our order, he quickly walked away without asking us if we would like anything to drink. We had to flag him down for some ice teas. When our food arrived, he dropped it off and again walked away quickly as we had to speak up for some silverware for our table. For lunch, I suggested my favorite honey crusted salmon salad, which 2 of us ordered. The salmon was so dry, it was almost impossible to eat. My other guest ordered a chicken salad, and sadly he had the same reaction to his salad...dry. We never complained, but when the waiter dropped off the check, he made a comment that he hopes we come back again and that "it will be better next time". He obviously new that he did not attend to our table. All of this and the restaurant was only 1/3 full. Not sure I will go back. Especially not for a business meeting.

Atmosphere very simple. Service was slow. food described was not the same. Tacos very real mini and different than described. it did not have the pineapple salsa and tzazitski sauce as described. Tasteless. Waited for dessert for 1/2 hr with no explanation until after 1/2 hour later that the cook burned it and he was making another one. A very disappointing experience and will not return.

This place used to be amazing. I hadn't been in several years, and I am so disappointed by how much it's gone downhill. The food is rather expensive for what it entails, and completely terrible. In fact, my friend had to have her biscuits and gravy remade because everything was cold and/or stale. While she was waiting for her second attempt at brunch, the server came over and asked if we were interested in dessert, completely oblivious to the fact that one person still hadn't even received her entree. Our group was large, too, and not one person thought the food was even "okay".

I took a business group there and the atmosphere was dead on Monday night. The vibe was off and it didn't have the atmosphere I saw in the pictures. You are close to the highway so you hear cars and sirens throughout the meal. The staff was great and very attentive but I was left down with the vibe.

The 4 bruscetta for $16 is a great deal. I had been previously and loved it. This time the avocado/bacon option wasn't as good. But the mushroom/sun dried toms, fig procuitto and ricotta/pistachio was all great. I would skip the avocado option next time. That was the only disappointment. My guest had a grilled chicken pita and was very pleased. The servicer did a nice job of accommodating the dietary requests. Great location for a pre-Gammage performance dinner. We will return. Thank you!

Wow, what a gem of a find. It's a scratch kitchen so they make everything fresh. Great service, great atmosphere and great ambiance. they've got this really cool patio that is really inviting. I heard that they had one of the best brunches in Tempe, so we had dinner Friday night (which was outstanding) then we went to Saturday Brunch, which was outstanding! I read in other critic reviews that they have an appetizer that shouldn't be missed, the hummus nachos, so we got that. It was so good that we ordered another.

Although it was an upbeat energetic vibe, and the service excellent, I thought the food was mediocre. Salads were drenched in dressing and soggy, and the grilled chicken had an odd consistency. Also, there was very little about the menu that was Mediterranean except the hummus and chicken kabobs.
