The cheese platter is a bit overpriced - $18 for 6 slices of cheese. Meat selezione was much better value. That being said, food is good (not great) and just overpriced.

My third time visiting this restaurant. Met up with a former colleague who had never been, and we split two apps and each had an entree. We had the prosciutto puffs (okay) and some cotto ham with fresh mozzarella (to die for). She had a porchetta sandwich that she enjoyed, and I had the Rigatoni all'amatriciana which was fabulous. Pasta was cooked perfectly. Sauce was just a tiny bit salty, but that's probably because I don't use salt at all when I cook. Pasta dishes are available in two sizes, which is nice if you each get one and want to share.

It's a TINY restaurant and your table WILL be close to other patrons. You will hear other conversations and may have to shift your table so people can get out of theirs, but none of this will deter me from going back.

A neighborhood gem. Hands down our favorite restaurant in the area. Delicious Negronis, Brussles sprouts, meats and cheeses, Porchetta sandwich, pastas, signature salad, veggies, desserts. Unfailingly lovely service. Go!

I've been here many times now and am ALWAYS impressed. The food is incredible (get the green pappardelle pasta and the gnocchi), the staff is small and knows the menu well. They ensure you have a great dining experience. It's a favorite spot of mine, took a group of 6 people for my birthday, took my mother in town from Texas, dined after a seeing a show, and been several times as a date spot enjoying the outside seating. Go as soon as possible!

Love this little neighborhood gem. It’s noisy and crowded but the food is always rigorous and delicious. They have a teeny Italian deli for taking home.

Really friendly service; the team seemed to have good energy working together. Had a variety of three tasting portions plus an appetizer. Really nice blend of flavors all-around; only underwhelming item was the mushroom risotto, but the arctic char, bocconcini al pesto and green pappardelle were all delicious!

We loved our dinner here before heading to a show at the Beacon. The food was amazing and the service was pleasant and attentive. It was the best pasta I have tasted outside of Italy. Everything was so fresh - absolutely delicious!!!

Food was fabulous and of reasonable proportion- not too much so that you have to drag a doggie bag out with you and not so skimpy that you need to order something else. Above all, the service was impeccable. Many people working together making sure you had water, plates were cleared and any other needs, without being overly annoying. Our experience was excellent.

I am an Italian national, who has been living int he US for several years, and I absolutely recommend this restaurant. The place is small and cozy, the service is excellent and the owner (Italian) is friendly and welcoming. The food is fresh, authentic, made with extreme care, and absolutely delicious; the wine list is up to standard. I absolutely recommend Salumeria Rosi to internationals willing to try a real taste of Italy, and nostalgic Italians, who want to feel at home for one night.

Salumeria Rosi is a bit of a hidden gem, at least at lunch. Friendly faces, quiet but lively atmosphere, reasonable prices, and most of all delicious food. I've eaten there many times and am always pleased with the unpretentious excellence of the ingredients and the precision of the seasoning and cooking times.

We have always loved Salumeria Rosi for a dinner spot (discovered it years ago before a show at the Beacon), but finally stopped in for brunch while in the city this weekend. By far the best brunch we have ever had. Fresh warm prosciutto and rosemary puffs, citrus infused french toast, eggs over the to-die-for house amatriciana sauce and a side of fennel sausage chased down by a delicious cup of coffee and a couple of bellinis. Friendly, efficient service, tiny but immaculate restroom and not a bad choice on the menu!

Amazing food. This place never disappoints. The food is mostly served tapas style so 4-5 plates should satisfy 2 people. VERY tight seating so be prepared to know your neighbor. A reservation is an absolute must as there is never an empty seat in the house.

We followed recommended food on trip advisor and were not disappointed! Meat plate, pork...belly(?) for my husband and the green pasta which is made from spinach for me. Every once in a very rare while, we splurge; and it was worth it for me to get the big plate as I don't eat pork and we shared meat plate, pasta, and wine with another couple. Memorable evening for a double date. Prepare to spend $100, if you're going to try these things.

Salumeria Rosi is a go to spot whenever on the UWS. I went with a group for a pre-concert bite and drinks on limited time. The staff couldn't have been more helpful on a crowded evening getting us served quickly and off to our show. Every small plate was fantastic! Pasta dishes were incredible!

We enjoyed our meal - the staff was welcoming and provided good suggestions. We had two appetizers, two salads and three small pasta dishes for three people and were all well fed but not stuffed. The food was delicious- don’t hesitate to dine here. Reservation pretty much required because dining room is small (although comfortable)

Second time dining at Salumeria Rosi. I brought my boyfriend to celebrate his birthday. Food is outstanding and makes you look forward to the next time you’re able to come back. Highly recommend the selection of meats plate. reason I gave 3 stars for service is because the sever more than once spilled water on me while refilling my glass. But best restaurant for Italian tapas!

Absolutely delicious. Menu offers many creative small plates as well as large entrees to share. Good wine list, and tastes are offered before a nice pour. Tables are close, but noise level surprisingly reasonable. Reservations a must, even for early seating. Can't wait to return and try more from the appealing menu.
