Dinner was delicious and they couldn't have been nicer about holding our reservation as we were stuck in traffic from Westchester.
I was impressed with Salumeria Rosi and will return. The prosciutto was excellent, as was the broccoli rabe. The pork belly, which should of course have some fat on it, was a bit too fatty for my taste, but it did have some nice flavor. The rigatoni amatraciana was al dente and tasty. We will be going back.
Pleasant surprise. First time here. Expected more of a fine dining experience but was thrilled by the almost deli like feel with true upscale small plate choices of Italian fare that was nonstop delicious. Small space with cozy seating. Lots of energy.
The only issue it’s crammed and no place to put your winter coat then squeeze between tables and other customers to try to sit down without knocking over their beverages.
This place is an Upper Weat Side gem!!!!!
Had a great time, great food, service, cocktails and wine. Good for a quick bite, or for a longer dinner
Everything we ate or drank was delicious, small seating area. Needed a reservation for a 5:45 seating on a Thursday. Highly recommend!
The wait staff gets busy and needs to keep an eye on their tables for quicker response. Other than that loved the food which came out quickly. Friendly people.
The best Italian restaurant that is truly authentic in my opinion. The pasta is the best I’ve ever had. I got the green pappardelle. I’ve never experienced a past that is so light. The sea bass was amazing . I love how every dish is served with vegetables. The sea bream came on a bed of vegetables including broccoli rabe that was perfectly cooked. We also got the chefs choice of charcuterie as an appetizer. The best selection in the city in my opinion. We didn’t have room for dessert!
The food was wonderful and the service was excellent. The noise level allowed us to have a conversation. Service was excellent. Highly recommended.
Excellent, as always!
This was my third time at this restaurant and everything is always outstanding. I recommend ordering the small portion of whatever you order so you can share multiple items. The pasta is so delicious and we love the meat and cheese boards as well. You cannot go wrong with anything you choose.
Best of the West Side. Lively yet conducive to conversation. Great menu options
We had a 7:30 reservation on a Friday night for 4 people. We didn't get seated until about 7:45 and there really is no place to wait so we were constantly being jostled. Once we were seated, everything was great - food was delicious - 4 of us split the peppers and anchovies, and the burrata with prosciutto. Both delicious choices. As mains, we had the ribs, green pappardella with burrata, the Friday night special (polpette on polenta) and the risotto. All excellent choices, unlike other restaurants serving the same sorts of items. Service was good and unhurried even though the place was packed.
Great food. Decent service. Cramped tables.
Get the lasagna and the garlic bread. Heaven. Wonderful service. Sweet local spot!
“Out of Towners”. Really enjoyed the local New York ambiance. Small and intimate with a friendly, neighborhood staff. Enjoyed interacting with local diners. Evening specials are excellent. Great place for a pre-theater dinner. Only 2 blocks from the Beacon Theater. Highly recommend!
Excellent all the way around. They go out of their way to make it a wonderful experience.
Always a great meal and excellent service
Very friendly staff. Excellent service. Delicious food. Great place to go before a show at the Beacon.
It’s always a pleasure to eat here. Delicious food, great service, friendly atmosphere. Go on Friday for the meatballs.
Always consistent good and waitstaff is always pleasant and hrlpful
Always a pleasure.
Excellent all around, except for the 90 minute limits on tables. Our waiter asked us if we wanted another round and two minutes after the manager was barking at us that we had to leave. So we waited for our check realizing we had just been sold another round then being forced out the door. Then another server came over demanding that we leave. But no one would give us a bill! Great night ended poorly. Bad management, delicious food.
We had a wonderful and delicious lunch. Great recommendations by our waitress!
Friends who live in the neighborhood introduced us to Salumeria Rosi and we’re big fans.
Wonderful food. Outstanding waitress.
Always our favorite local date night slot
Great food, service and ambiance.
Love that they have appetizer sized portions of so many items on the menu. Excellent ingredients; great preparation and presentation. Perfect for a pre concert meal.
Can’t wait to go back with friends when we have more time to sample more of this wonderful, authentic Italian cuisine!
We went there after a Bob Dylan concert. We called and asked if they were still open and the guy on the phone guessed my name and said come on over we are still open (online it said they were closed). We will definitely be back to this restaurant but unfortunately not to anymore Dylan concerts.
Food the main reason. Seating is tight, reservations a must.
Very good experience. We absolutely loved the food - the meat and cheese platters were excellent. Our entrees were spot on. I had gnocchi and it was truly pillows of pleasure.
Well, it used to be much better...when Cesare Cassella was there?! The meals are good but not epic. This used to be our go-to in the upper west side,...but unfortunately not anymore. Service was excellent, but the half empty space spoke more than this review...
This place was a great find. It's small but cozy and the food is great. The italian meats and cheeses are exceptional -- as is the rest of the food. Our server was a lot of fun and patient with our rampant indecision. We love tapas and we love Italian food - so an Italian place with small plates was just perfect!
It would be nice if there was a more reasonably priced wine by the glass “special” each night so that everyday dining could be easier on the total cost.
Live this place. Great food. Casual friendly atmosphere.
Close to Beacon Theater, so great for pre-theater bites. Had cheeses and meats so can't really say much about cooked food but looked great. The seats are super crammed so I don't know if you want to spend that much time in there but great atmosphere, it's cozy.
Make sure to ask for a table away from the entrance, I don't think anyone would want that table.
Had a great time. Food is always excellent. The cheese and meat items are delicious.
Salumeria Rosi is a great restaurant in New York City. We knew the Marathon was on the East side so perfect to go to Salumeria Rosi. Can recommend it to everybody.
