Amazing food but space is tight.
Some of the best and freshest pasta in Manhattan.
Great dinner at the bar. The bartender provided outstanding service and made great recommendations.
Amazing dining experience, all around!
Salumeria Rosi is very convenient to the Beacon Theater if you're seeing a show. The food is very good and reasonable. However, we were put off a bit before we even arrived for dinner when we received a call confirming our reservation. The caller from the restaurant told us that someone else would need our table after we had dinner, and she gave us a specific time limit by which we would need to leave. We were eating dinner before attending a show at the Beacon so the timing wasn't an issue, but we've never had a restaurant where I've had a reservation give me a time limit from my meal when confirming. Not very welcoming. The restaurant itself is cute, but the quarters are very tight. Next time in the area we would likely try someplace else.
Had a lovely meal at Salumeria Rosi on a Sunday night. The selezione del salumere is incredible and well worth the $30 for the large plate. Sadly, they were out of burrata and we had to settle for buffalo mozzarella in the coppa e burrata but it was still good. The green pappardelle was unreal and everyone else at the table enjoyed their entres. We didn't have enough time for dessert but I can imagine it would be just as good.
Excellent neighborhood restaurant with good food and friendly service!
After a bit of initial confusion when we arrived and the hostess informed us she would need our table in an hour on a Saturday night, we had an excellent experience. The manager was quick to remedy the demand for our table and sent us a complimentary round of drinks. The food was incredible and our waitress was on it! We will definitely be back.
Second time to this place, love the meat and cheeses they have!!
A place more than suited for its family neighborhood
Great experience as usual - wonderful staff, delicious traditional Italian dishes. We’ll be back!
Fabulous food, great service. One fairly minor point, but it does affect the experience: Seat to table heights are totally off. There are a few tables whereby your plate seems to be inches from your face.
I really want to keep this little gem a gem, but alas must let everyone know that Salumeria Rosi is one of the best restaurants with consistent food and great service in New York City. From the daily specials (if you are there are Thursday you have to have the Caccio y Pepe (BEST!) to the pastas (homemade) and other delicious items on the menu, this place is special!
We were seated in the front window, and we had a wonderful time!
Great place for sharing. Four of us had reservations at the bar,Happy to have a seat but not ideal for conversations. Very high quality salumi, all flavors were tasty and unique. Our group had the pork meatballs, steak with beans and ribs in sauce. All were simple and delicious but the ribs were a standout cooked in a rich, well balanced tomato sauce that were falling off the bone. The Brussel sprouts salad was full of texture, the candied walnuts and pickled red onions were a welcome contrast in flavors. Also sampled were the prosciutto puffs, one piece per person was a good starter. Three of us shared a bottle of so of Barbera that was a great pairing with our food. Service was friendly and attentive,we were well guided and taken care of. Hope to be back soon.
Unfortunately, this was only my second time to dine here. It really is one of the best and the wait staff (and manager) are friendly, helpful, and all around make the experience pleasant over and above the food. You can feel the quality.
So glad we finally tried Rossi! The food is so good that I want to try everything on the menu. The meat does not disappoint. Nor does the wine--the house red is an excellent sangiovese and there are multiple options by the glass, all good. The staff are great even when the pace gets frenetic. We'll be back soon.
Our table of 4 ordered multiple dishes and they were all amazing! Highly recommend!
Wonderful authentic food, good quality and great service!
We were seated promptly. My friend ordered the rigatoni amitriiciana and I had the lasagna. Both dishes were excellent and the lasagna was one of the best I have ever had. House salad with sliced parmigiana and lemon dressing very refreshing. House wine is very good (Sangiovese). I will go back often!!!
outstanding! I ordered the spaghetti. I thought about it all next day.
with its chic, understated interior and excellent food, salumeria rosi is a casual-elegant spot that is always a favorite.
We went for brunch and had a wonderful experience. The food was outstanding as was the service.
Friendly neighborhoody environment...
Good food but way too many tables/chairs stuffed in there. Service was excellent.
Great spot to dine before Beacon Theater events with classic Italian products and dishes
I hate giving Salumeria Rosi a 5 star review, not because they are not fully deserving of each star, but only because if too many people discover this wonderful restaurant, I may never get a table in the future.
Outstanding from service to cuisine. Can’t wait to return.
Can’t get wrong order! Very good!
The food was very good, a bit pricey for the neighborhood and portion size. Server was aloof, didn’t check back with us until much later into the meal - we needed hot pepper and grated cheese - finally went up to the hostess to ask for it.
The weather was perfect and we enjoyed the outdoor seating. This was our first time and our server was helpful with making recommendations on the menu. We loved the option to order the tasting portions. The gnocchi was outstanding! The pancia was also an incredible dish. We would absolutely go back, and highly recommend dining at Salumeria Rosi.
Food great tables very crowded. Hostess was going to seat us outside right on edge of sidewalk while 4 tables next to the windows were open I asked for one of those she said they were all reserved. I had reserved an outside table though Open Table there was no designated location I said we needed to change a waitress intervened and we got one of the window tables . Watched 2 of the window tables were combined with other tables no 2’s. Bad 1st impression need to work on the reception
They have really great food. I have only been there for brunch but it was delightful. Hi quality meats from a deli counter as well.
My friend and I love this new restaurant we just went. She also brought some cheeses after we had a cheese platter.
Very good quality of Italian food and really an experience of authentic Italian cuisine.
Though I believe that the prices are over the top.
The restaurant is very small and cozy, but can be excessively noisy because it hosts too many seats, in relation to the space.
I will be back for sure because I like the food, but only on special occasions.
I used to live in Italy and this restaurant reminds me of an authentic Italian charcuteria. The meats are delicious and fresh, as our the cheeses. There are many small plates to share as well as full size entrees. We had a small meat platter for two of us and the mozzarella balls and olives. The portions were generous. I had the mussels, which were perfect, and my husband had the much heralded ribs, which were to die for. We finished with delicious cappuccino. We were given a glass of port on the house. The wine list is excellent also. And to top it off, Bernadette Peters was seated at the table next to us. What a New York night. I highly recommend this restaurant.
As ever...everything was superb! The food, ambience and hospitality...everyone at Salumeria Rosi is wonderful! That is why they are our “go to” neighborhood restaurant!
We had a wonderful experience. Lovely cool NY night and we sat outside. Had one of the best meals we have had in NY in the 59 years we’ve been visiting NY frequently. Best lasagna ever! The small order was not small! The mortadella bruschetta was amazing! We will be back often!
