Perfection in every fascist.
We were seated 30 minutes late even though we had a reservation. The restaurant was crowded even by New York standards and there was nowhere to wait while our table became available. The food was underwhelming. The charcuterie table was no better than what you can buy at a supermarket, the soup managed to be both bland and oversalted, and the lasagna was dry and overcooked. Do not recommend this place. There are many better Italian food options.
We were surprised to walk into a deli and to the side was a nicely set up dining area although tables were very close. Nice music. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Service was very good. Lots of people came in to pick up orders and to buy from the deli. This was a little distracting.
Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! Our
Service was outstanding - this will be our post Lincoln Center dining spot for sure!
I come here regularly. The place was quite and warm and our waiter, Patrick, was very nice. Food was delicious as always.
I keep going back here because the food is delicious. But the space is cramped and the service is terrible. They have also never sat my party on time. I would not recommend this restaurant.
Although the restaurant is very small and tight it is a very nice atmosphere. The food was excellent but the service was exceptional. The manager, Xavier, made our experience overwhelmingly enjoyable. He was extremely attentive to ours and everyone's needs.
Our favorite upper West Side restaurant. Food great, service friendly. Ambiance authentic.
Food is always interesting and good. Seating is tight and a bit noisy, but always worth a visit.
Creative food. Nice ambiance. Intimate. Service average
the meat was excellent
gnocchi were ok (I am Italian so I have high standards)
dessert was good
overall very positive
S.R. Is a favorite of ours. We frequently go when in the neighborhood and love to bring friends. Great food and wines, absolutely consistent.
Great food and service
Quaint Italian restaurant and deli, very busy, very tight Food was great, wine also nice, servers gracious and fast-moving. Our seating didn't work out as planned, but no big deal In the end, this is a place to try... be prepared to move quickly and find a different place for some post-dinner relaxing coctails. Buon Apetito!
I love this restaurant. The food is authentic. Service is exemplary. However this time we were rushed so they could turn over the table.
Food is fantastic and service is great.
I have been to the restaurant a number of times. The food is good (especially the lasagna), the service is courteous and the atmosphere is enjoyable. I’ve never felt rushed, even when our dining has been extended. SR is one of my favorite restaurants—indeed good enough to figure in my holiday plans.
The Italian food here is always delicious! Always happy to dine here. Looking forward to returning soon.
Amazing food but space is tight.
Some of the best and freshest pasta in Manhattan.
Great dinner at the bar. The bartender provided outstanding service and made great recommendations.
It’s our neighborhood restaurant. It’s always good. Staffs give good recommendations and attentive.
Amazing dining experience, all around!
Salumeria Rosi is very convenient to the Beacon Theater if you're seeing a show. The food is very good and reasonable. However, we were put off a bit before we even arrived for dinner when we received a call confirming our reservation. The caller from the restaurant told us that someone else would need our table after we had dinner, and she gave us a specific time limit by which we would need to leave. We were eating dinner before attending a show at the Beacon so the timing wasn't an issue, but we've never had a restaurant where I've had a reservation give me a time limit from my meal when confirming. Not very welcoming. The restaurant itself is cute, but the quarters are very tight. Next time in the area we would likely try someplace else.
Had a lovely meal at Salumeria Rosi on a Sunday night. The selezione del salumere is incredible and well worth the $30 for the large plate. Sadly, they were out of burrata and we had to settle for buffalo mozzarella in the coppa e burrata but it was still good. The green pappardelle was unreal and everyone else at the table enjoyed their entres. We didn't have enough time for dessert but I can imagine it would be just as good.
Excellent neighborhood restaurant with good food and friendly service!
After a bit of initial confusion when we arrived and the hostess informed us she would need our table in an hour on a Saturday night, we had an excellent experience. The manager was quick to remedy the demand for our table and sent us a complimentary round of drinks. The food was incredible and our waitress was on it! We will definitely be back.
Second time to this place, love the meat and cheeses they have!!
A place more than suited for its family neighborhood
Great experience as usual - wonderful staff, delicious traditional Italian dishes. We’ll be back!
Fabulous food, great service. One fairly minor point, but it does affect the experience: Seat to table heights are totally off. There are a few tables whereby your plate seems to be inches from your face.
I really want to keep this little gem a gem, but alas must let everyone know that Salumeria Rosi is one of the best restaurants with consistent food and great service in New York City. From the daily specials (if you are there are Thursday you have to have the Caccio y Pepe (BEST!) to the pastas (homemade) and other delicious items on the menu, this place is special!
We were seated in the front window, and we had a wonderful time!
Great place for sharing. Four of us had reservations at the bar,Happy to have a seat but not ideal for conversations. Very high quality salumi, all flavors were tasty and unique. Our group had the pork meatballs, steak with beans and ribs in sauce. All were simple and delicious but the ribs were a standout cooked in a rich, well balanced tomato sauce that were falling off the bone. The Brussel sprouts salad was full of texture, the candied walnuts and pickled red onions were a welcome contrast in flavors. Also sampled were the prosciutto puffs, one piece per person was a good starter. Three of us shared a bottle of so of Barbera that was a great pairing with our food. Service was friendly and attentive,we were well guided and taken care of. Hope to be back soon.
Unfortunately, this was only my second time to dine here. It really is one of the best and the wait staff (and manager) are friendly, helpful, and all around make the experience pleasant over and above the food. You can feel the quality.
So glad we finally tried Rossi! The food is so good that I want to try everything on the menu. The meat does not disappoint. Nor does the wine--the house red is an excellent sangiovese and there are multiple options by the glass, all good. The staff are great even when the pace gets frenetic. We'll be back soon.
Our table of 4 ordered multiple dishes and they were all amazing! Highly recommend!
Wonderful authentic food, good quality and great service!
