Love this place. Unique. Service is ALWAYS fantastic. A frequent go to for us. Great cocktails. Good menu. Chicken Piccata was a bit dry. First time we tried it. Always wish for more of the delicious sauces & gravies. Highly recommend!
We went for the breakfast buffet and it was delicious. Best mimosas in town and a fantastic mix of brunch offerings, which was pleasantly surprising because I'm not normally a buffet person. They keep the portions out for service small so its constantly rotating and tastes fresh all brunch long.
The service was outstanding and napkins, serving ware and drinks were consistently refreshed.
Will definitely be back!
Love the atmosphere and excellent customer service.
Service is excellent! Knowledgeable and care about the guest. Live music. Great patio.
Went with our neighbors and food was great, service too. Tried the deviled eggs and they were delicious.
Wonderful place delicious food excellent service. Would enjoy a few more options on the menu but other than that it was delicious.
Good swine, fine wine but beer too pricey. $7 for draft beers is out of line.
The music was special! There was difficulty in keeping up with buffet demands but all were working hard to do so. It was a busy crowd.
Unexpected gem! Looked up a place to have date night, ended up here and was best experience we’ve had in a long time. Live music dude was Awesome! Food and ambiance was awesome!!! Highly recommend!!
Our lunch was just ok on this visit, normally we have dinner.
The food was terrible!!! We got the lobster Mac and cheese and it was so salty it was inedible! I understand “salty” is in the restaurants name but I had no idea how “salty” it would be! Other things we ordered which were all very salty and greasy-fries chicken sandwich and tacos.
The other complaint is that several of the chairs in the restaurant we overall falling apart it just looked to me as the place was kind of struggling!
The service was good on a positive note!
First time visiting the Salty Sow and came away very impressed. Excellent food with awesome staff. The guitar player was really good. Highly recommend
Very nice atmosphere
Pleasant, efficient, good service
First, we enjoyed the best Old Fashioned in the Valley. Next, tasty entrees of salmon and fish & chips. Portions were just the right size. Our server Holly is the best! Conner the host was on top of his game. A true pro. I live close by and will be making Salty Sow a regular haunt. I suggest if you’re in the area to have a meal here. Five stars.
Was there for Easter brunch. Food was very good although they need to work on their timing. Too many things were "out". We were left waiting for the kitchen to catch up. More vegetarian options would've been good although it was nice that we could order omelets from the table.
We made reservations for Easter Brunch for 4. Unexpectedly a surprise visitor flew in to town to surprise us, so we needed an additional seat at the table. I was not sure if the tables could accommodate an extra chair. The re were no other reservations available, so I called, the front end manager could not have been nicer, She worked her magic and arranged for a great table with plenty of room. The waitress was amazing, very friendly and attentive on a stressful , busy day. The price for the buffet was very reasonable and good.
Easter brunch was lovely. Some original dishes and classic favorites. Good service and drinks were reasonably priced.
The Easter brunch buffet was great definitely worth the money. All the food was great except the desserts. I was really disappointed with the desserts. There wasn't much choice and what they had wasn't good. I think the desserts came from an outside baker. They should never use that bakery again! The services was also very good.
Usually like this place but Easter brunch was pretty bad. Long lines winding past our table with people standing next to us while we were eating was not pleasant. Several items were empty by the time we got through the lines. Very disorganized. Asked for drink refill but server never got to it (probably couldn't get to table because of the lines.
I took out of town guests for Easter brunch because the menu looked wonderful. We were excited to have outdoor seating until we were seated next to the entertainment. Even though he was excellent and I would have thoroughly enjoyed him on any evening with a group of friends drinking cocktails, Sunday late morning with the sound system jacked up was not my idea of a casual Sunday family brunch. Now onto the brunch. First, it was disorganized, which meant long lines. Then when picking up a plate, I was embarrassed when we were only offered a small appetizer plate. I understand the psychology and profitability of the smaller plate on buffets, but please, an appetizer plate? The food was all broke into tiny pieces and rarely freshened up with fresher product. The server was excellent and attentive and once we all got used to speaking over the music, we did have a good time despite the disappointment in the restaurant. With all the restaurants offered throughout the Phoenix area, I would only pick this one for happy hour ... then you can get a better deal on those appetizer plates!
We enjoyed Easter Brunch at Salty Sow. The food was delicious, it was kept at the right temperature and presented well, which isn't always the case at a holiday brunch. Our waiter was courteous and helpful and except for the fact it was very noisy, it was a very enjoyable brunch.
Waitress was almost never seen. At the end she had a huge attitude. Manager was great. Waitress needs to learn how to speak to customers.
Perfect in so many ways. The food is so incredible and well thought out!
We were treated like royalty from the moment we sat down. We were celebrating my birthday and wedding anniversary, yes they are a day apart! When we sat down at our table our waitress mentioned our special days. Then we received champagne and a delicious brownie Ala mode for dessert In no other restaurants have we been spoiled so nicely
Some friends and I went to Salty Sow on a whim one evening and now my husband and I have gone back four times -- every time a friend comes into Phoenix! Everything we've tried was good, from the blackened tacos, to the PV salad to the crispy Brussel sprouts. We love this place!
The Salty Sow is favorite restaurant in Phoenix. We are from Austin and it reminds us of home. We have never had a bad meal or service!
Best halibut and Brussels sprouts ever had. We came back a second time on our vacation to have the same meal!!
SS was my choice for a birthday dinner with friends. The outside patio complete with Guitarist/Singer and good consistent menus is just a easy evening win.
This was a good find when traveling this week. There were quite a few dishes that were excellent! We really enjoyed the food, the drinks and the service. Check this place out if you can!
Great little place- fun menu - interesting starters - paced well - all our dinners arrived together and hot.
Nice outdoor patio - we were not inside - so can't speak to the noise level inside.
Our server was attentive and efficient.
Went here for date night as a recommendation from a co worker! This place is amazing! Food was delicious with great drink choices. I loved the Sangria! Music was playing in patio, which has plenty of seating and fireplaces! We will be back!
Made reservations so as soon as we walked in the door, we were seated immediately. I really appreciate a place that still does reservations. From start to finding, the service and food were amazing. We had the deviled eggs and chorizo stuffed mushrooms and the salty wow martinis and all were phenomenal. I had the pork belly and the ladies had the Halibut and not one complaint, everyone’s dishes were wiped clean. The brownie was shared for dessert, again, outstanding. Great place to go with couples or a group of friends, the outside seating area was perfect the night we went. All in all a great place to eat, drink and have fun.
Excellent food and service. Jenna was outstanding.
Great restaurant overall
I was impressed; however, for a restaurant that has an indication of swine in it, I would expect more pork items on the menu. For example, pulled pork sandwiches, pork tenderloin, pork burgers, roast pork, smoked shank.
This was my first time there. We sat on the patio and it was lovely. There is some traffic noise, but it was not bad.
The food was great! Our server was attentive without being intrusive. I will definitely go back.
I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. Service was well-timed and friendly,
New place to take coworkers from out of town to try that’s different and good
Not so busy this Sunday brunch. Service was excellent. One of the best brunches in the Valley.
Their brunch was fabulous. The rosemary chicken (from the chicken and waffles) was tasty and crunchy. I didn't try the waffles, but the bananas French toast was delicious too. They also had these small cinnamon donut holes that made my son wish it was acceptable to bring a ziploc bag. Lol. I really wish they'd open in Mpls; they'd be packed everyday.
