The menu has been cut back too much. I understand restaurants trying to cut costs, but I think they cut too much. Waitress was average at best. She did not show any personality or interest in us. Restaurant was mostly empty, so she couldn't be that busy.
It’s very important to us that a restaurant take the health and safety of its customers and employees seriously these days. Salty Sow delivers. It’s always done things right, but it’s appreciated even more now. And of course, the food and service continue to be some of the absolute best in the Valley.

Salty Sow is doing a fantastic job with social distancing but still providing a welcoming experience for guests! Service with Cheney was impeccable as usual!

Back open again, the menu and hours are limited but the food is excellent. Had smoked chicken wings that were juicy and flavorful, cheddar jalapeño biscuits, fried chicken and Brussels sprouts salads. So full! Fried chicken was so crunchy and good. Going for Nashville hot next time!

We waiting a long time since it opened to try Salty Sow. It has become one of our “go to” neighborhood favorites.
We ordered the short rib dinner and the beef sandwich . The first two bites of the ribs were tender and the rest of it was tough and burnt.we told the waiter and they only took $10:00 of our bill, the meal was thirty dollars. Prime rib sandwich was tender but not very flavorful. Also the wine selection was very poor! Will not return to this restaurant again!
We hadn't been in a couple of years and the new decor looked nice. However, on a Sunday evening the place was pretty empty so that affected the overall ambiance and vibe. Our server, Leon, was great as he was attentive with a pleasant personality. But the food was just so so. Salads were OK, but not memorable, St Louis Ribs were a bit tough. Broccoli was basic, with no creative spices added. Overall, we were disappointed and unfortunately will probably not return as there are too many places better.

The place was slammed, but a rotating team insured high quality service.
Prime rib sandwich was HUGE, grilled salmon was terrific. Drinks were generous and a GM stopped by the table.

Everything was exceptional. The Ribeye was amazing! The service was on par with the best dining experiences in the valley. Definitely recomendable to anyone looking for a classy and upscale dining experience.
Menu was changed and we missed some of the old offering! Salmon we ordered was over cooked and chicken thighs were fatty.

We all agree it is a great “Arizona” restaurant with great food and ambiance... totally comfortable.
Great atmosphere and good cocktails. The food was pretty good, we enjoyed the appetizers more than the entrees and our server was a little overwhelmed and not as attentive as we would have liked but he got the job done. We will certainly return again to try some other things and have the sparkling sangria again!

We had a very good dinner at Salty Sow. Our waiter was very attentive and even gave my husband a free cup of soup when he asked about soup that was not on the menu. We will definitely go back to this restaurant.
Our reservation was about 830 and were seated close to that time. Service was ok overall. Food was good but the items we wanted to order were all out of . This was not just one item so was frustrating. Will go back as have been there few times before.
The filet was the steak to get - good server recommendation.
Our first time at the Salty Sow, we were concerned to have our first visit on Valentine's day, however we had an,amazing experience. We made the reservation on open table. We were seated at the exact time for our reservation. Lauren k was our server and made fabulous recommendations. This was a great date night.
Valentines Day 2020 and everything was excellent. No wait (at 7pm, w/reservations) good drinks (7 martinis for $7 after 7pm) great service (from Holly??), excellent food (ribs and salmon) and great people watching (thank you Phoenix people).
3rd time was not the charm. Made a reservation for Valentine's Day and couldn't have been more excited. Arrived to find they were seating us outside. We did not ask for an outside table, but they insisted we did and told us we could no eat inside. Was excited to see all the "sow" related items on the menu, but once we got the menu, barely any were there. It read more like a BBQ restaurant than an upscale establishment. We ordered chicken wings, brisket, ribs and pork belly. Almost everything came out dry and if we didn't ask for extra BBQ sauce most everything was too dry to eat. Finally, we had to waive down our server multiple times throughout the night to get anything we needed. Overall, not a great experience.
This neighborhood favorite never disappoints. The specials are truly special as on Valentine's Day with the wonderfully prepared red snapper: perfection!
A stable when in need of good food drink and service. During peak dining hours it can be a bit too loud but as soon as the crowd thins out volume goes down.
The food was fairly good, tho my companions said the brisket was pretty tough. I would definitely come back for the food. However, the service was soooooo slow on a half-full Monday night. The server was super nice and accommodating but getting a box, the bill, or even another drink took more than 10 minutes each time. And our entrees did not come out until we had been there for over an hour. We had one small shared appetizer, so that shouldn’t have made much of a difference. All in all, I would give it another try.
On 2/8/2020, I ordered the brisket dinner, which I had previously ordered. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment. Typically, the dish includes three slices of brisket; my order contained six slices. However, the slices were mostly fat and gristle; only one slice was mostly meat.
Whoever cut the meat--could they not tell they were cutting through fat and gristle? Was that the reason for serving double the amount of slices? The server did comp the meal after showing the amount of fat and gristle on my plate. A disappointment as I typically feel the food is great.
Nice spot for a drink and Comfort food
At first glance, the atmosphere is very vibey, nice and busy. The wait staff were great but the food didn't live up to the feel. My steak (ordered medium rare) was dark red and cold. Had to send it back. My boyfriend had the brisket, it was also cold. Our other friend had the salmon, it was a little dry. I was expecting the food to be better but I don't think I will be going back.
Waiter forgot to give my friend his biscuit and to give me a steak knife.
The prime rib was overly salty and tough! The service was too slow especially it was not busy.
Our service was impeccable and the food very good. We were, however, disappointed to discover that our 1 and a half delicious biscuits were not included in our packed leftover bag I don’t know why those were discarded as they were among the best part of the meal #missingthebiscuits
First of all, we like the name Salty Sow [mostly because we like pork]! We decided to try the Sunday brunch. We both enjoyed the various food item choices, I thought the skillets were a nice touch. The food was tasty and the service professional. We were very surprised to find out we were there for the last Sunday brunch, sorry!
