Salty Sow - Cactus
Book your next event with us
As a warning, if you show up at brunch time they don’t offer any food besides a 25$ brunch. You can’t order individual plates.
The service was bad. The waited foreveeeer to get a check and had to ask twice.
Good place for a group birthday.
Fun place, great menu. Try the mushroom chorizo appetizer, very yummy.
We had the Sunday Brunch. The variety of food was great! So many delicious choices. Everything was fresh and hot. The service was good. The staff was friendly and on top of things. I will definitely be back. The price for the brunch was a little high, but worth it for a special occasion.
Good experience wife had blackened salmon she enjoyed it,I had rack of pork very tasty would order again
One of my favorite restaurants in town. I think it's worth going just for the butterscotch pudding dessert alone.
All 4 of us had different entrees and everyone was very happy with their meals. Trout, Sole, rib-eye tacos and beef shoulder. All were done to perfection. Service was great. Its a bit on the noisy side but it's what you should expect from a gastro pub atmosphere. The bananas foster beignets were awesome, save room. The brownie with ice cream was pedestrian.
Loved everything!! Highly recommend. Wish there was one back in KC.
The food is so great. The service is always very, very, very slow, so if you need a quick bite, this isn’t the spot. But overall it’s a great experience and the food is amazing!
Some really tasty dishes and cocktails. Service is usually outstanding. Almost always very noisy even on patio. Prices are a bit high but the quality of food does not disappoint.
We were able to customize our dinner with various choices of side items. instead of the grits my husband and son got the smashed fingerling potatoes. instead of roasted vegetables we were able to get the brussel sprout petals. Waitress was very accommodating and knowledgeable about the dishes. The overall atmosphere was very very nice.
Always a great place for a meal and a great place to meet friends for dinner. Our server was very friendly and attentive, but let us catch up with our friends without being intrusive. Everyone enjoyed their meal.
First visit and enjoyed everything. Got the beef shoulder and it was fork tender and delicious. We had the deviled eggs and they also were delicious. The only complaint I have is the tea. It is flavored, which I don’t care for, and they made no indication it was or offered any other choice. My husband got the crusted cod and really liked it. We will be back.
I walked out stuffed. Everything was delicious. The service was excellent. Only reason I didn’t give it perfect stars was because $25 is a little pricey for Sunday brunch
Went there for a birthday and they knew, but no dessert was included or offered.
It was great!
New to the area and this place is close to my new home . It definitely will be a regular restaurant stop for me. Portions were good sized and food was delicious. Service was prompt but not hovering.
We always really enjoy the food at Salty Sow. Always comes out hot and fresh!
Very good food. Nice comfortable tables. Superb service.
Sat outside and ended up eating apps during happy hour. The entrees others were served looked excellent. If back in the area, would definitely have a full meal.
Salty Sow is always a home run on unique menu items, great drinks, and awesome service. The daily specials are an added bonus on top of a wide selection of menu items. Happy hour specials are worth the trip alone, which was what I was there for on this visit.
Sat on the patio, the heaters were perfect as the evening temps dropped. Service and food were excellent, I'd definitely go back.
Didn’t like that if we didn’t want to have the buffet for brunch, there was no menu orders. Probably won’t be back.
This has become an easy favorite for us. Our waitor was great, personable and attentive. Everyone in our party enjoyed the food, with no complaints. Drinks were great, dessert was even better.
We have been going to the Sow since it has opened. Whether it is for happy hour or dinner always great service and food !
Earlier in the day we had reserved an outdoor table for 2, but by 6 pm, the weather had changed and it was extremely cold. The restaurant kindly accommodated our desire to sit inside. Our server was friendly, kind and welcoming. She was attentive and gave us great service throughout our visit, without being intrusive. My friend and I had plenty of time to catch up, laughing and talking over dinner. Our dining experience at the Salty Sow was delightful. The food (baked halibut with asiago crust and fish and chips) were very good. I have to say that I LOVED the roasted brussel sprout crisps as a side dish. They were delectable and I am looking forward to enjoying them again sometime!
The Salty Sow has a somewhat limited menu and when we arrived for our 6:30pm reservation on Sunday, they were out of four entrees. The waiter explained that this happens a lot on Sundays because food is delivered Monday and Tuesday. The manager came by our table, apologized, and bought our drinks. Of the entrees we got, two were average/good (tacos; one ribeye and one carnitas) and one was poor (pork rack). The waiter did a nice job and the ambiance was good, but we won’t be returning.
The Salty Sow is one of our favorites for a reliable innovative meal with great ambiance and service. Sometimes a little noisy and usually crowded, but the food is great. The wine and beverage selections are always excellent. I love trying new things on the menu but still always seem to come back to some of my favorites such as the deviled eggs, beet salad and pork specials.
Overall first time at the restaurant. Very enjoyable. Will go back for sure
Love the food and service is great - the patio has great seating
This was are first time, it was Excellent. My wife had the Halibut and I had the Sole. We will definitely be back.
Server was great. Even though we shared a meal, she made feel very welcome and comfortable.
Have eaten here many times-will continue to go. First time I ordered the filet. Will not order the filet again. Was disappointed in the quality of the beef. They have many other delicious entree’s that I will choose from next time.
Why do I have to write 50 characters? Just use the stars. I usually don’t write comments if this is a requirement. Just be happy you got the stars.
Fun place. Casual. Good service. Food was good but limited in selection. The Sunday Brunch
was nice but the buffet height was a bit higher than normal and difficult to reach for some of
my guests. But other than that, I would go again.
Food was great. Love the place. Cocktail service was slow though.
The one man band in the patio was great
Thought the menu was broad and would appeal to anyone. Loved the steak tacos and the beans. Had my brother and his wife from out of state. They enjoyed it, the food but found it a little noisy. Will definitely return and refer
We had no difficulty getting a reservation and were seated immediately. The brussel sprout ceasar salad was very large and outstanding. Caution, a lot of garlic on this salad. The pork belly with grits was delicious and ample. The chicken scallopini was also very good. The service was exceptional and the waitress very friendly. A local double IPA was very good. The meals were fairly priced and the waitress had good knowledge of all the menu items. All in all, and very enjoyable evening. We will definitely return.
I was in Phoenix area for work and I went to Salty Sow with my co-workers after work. We were looking for some good food, service and a great atmosphere and we found all of this an more at Salty Sow. When we first arrived the noise level seemed really loud, but once we sat down at our table, the noise level was not to bad. The food was delicious. We started with the deviled eggs, and Chorizo stuffed mushrooms. We all enjoyed our entree selection. I had the Parmesan crusted Lemon Sole, my coworkers had the Pork rack and Pork Carnitas.
I would recommend this restaurant for Dinner with co-workers are a dinner with a date. great atmosphere.
