Salad bar is amazing, so is their tea. Love this place
We live so close and it was my gf’s birthday and had never gone. Their food was amazing, very fresh, very flavorful!
We enjoyed trying the different items on the menu although too many are fried. Service was great! Drink options were really nice too!
This restaurant was so delicious! I had trout and my friend had the rib eye steak. We also shared a cheese board. The atmosphere was beautiful and the creative cocktails were delicious and the wine selection was great. I can't wait to go again.
Just not worth the prices at all. The place was pretty empty, so I guess I missed the memo. For these prices, I would expect professional servers, but it was more like Ruby Tuesday’s. Food was okay, but fried chicken was not $29 good.
Arrived to empty tables but staff told us our table not ready bc they just received the reservation from open table. I had made the reservation hours earlier.... then, they told us the kitchen was backed up, even though no one was actually there dining. They need to hire more staff
Went for Christmas brunch. Once we learned they were only serving a burger menu, we had to relocate to another restaurant with more options.
Good food...but for the price point, service was not good. We were the only people in the entire restaurant but the service just was not attentive. Service was unable to assist with wine selection.
Service was terrible -- we waited forever to order, and then to have the food delivered. When the food was delivered, it was cold and we sent it back to be warmed. 15 minutes later, the food came out, and it was of marginal quality. I called the manager over, he apologized, then the poor service continued.
Sunday afternoon must not be a good time to go to Saltwood. It was almost empty, and still the service was extremely poor.
It was a very poor choice for a special occasion. We will not be going back and I will spread the word to avoid.
Our brunch experience did not live up to expectations; while the restaurant is comfortable enough, and the service was pleasant, it took over half an hour to get our food. We had an 8:45am reservation to beat the brunch crowds, and the restaurant only had 3 other tables of patrons when were seated (so not busy or crowded), and while the food was alright, it was stone cold upon arrival (chicken and waffles, the ham and cheese). Coffee wasn't that great, and refills were served tepid. They pushed their buffet (both the hostess and server), and it wasn't anything special, especially at the price point, and besides, if I'm going to have a nice brunch, I want food cooked to order. Atlanta has too many wonderful places to have brunch so I can't say that I will return to Saltwood.
The menu is confusing and misleading. Nowhere does it say the charcuterie for one is only one piece of meat and one cheese. Once we figured that out, and attempted to order, 2 of the 5 meat choices were not available. The pulled pork was more like a cold sausage... The pork pate was very bland. The Caesar salad was a pretty presentation, but whole leaves of romaine are difficult to eat or cut!
Perfect setting, food and service
I'm not sure I've ever had slower service. When we came in, we were the only customers in the restaurant. Granted, there were 5 of us, but we didn't order anything out of the ordinary. Just the standard charcuterie. By the time we left, about 4 other parties had come and gone (they had another waiter). Our waiter would leave to go check on something and it would be 15-20 min before he'd show back up. We were all very disappointed in the service, me especially so, as I chose it for my birthday celebration.
Enjoyed a quick bite and drinks before a concert Saturday Night. Food and drink were great . . . although we ordered very HEAVY appetizers and dessert, felt the waitress' attitude changed when she realized we weren't ordering entrees. That was the only negative . . .
Our server Shauna was the bomb, very knowledgeable on wines and cheeses
Have been wanting to try this place for a while! The food was very good. Although, the menu layout can be a little confusing. I think if the restaurant is going to branded as a charcuterie bar there should be more additional tapas like dishes to go along with it. The service could have been better.
The good was fresh and ample. The service was pleasant.
Menu selections very limited. Visited pre-theatre but I did not enjoy the meal.
The lunchtime salad bar is a must! With fresh, high-quality ingredients, the salads are delicious and an incredible value. A personal fav in Midtown!
Favorite salad bar! So many ingredients, great quality dressings and well seasoned proteins. And the dessert was good too!
I enjoyed Saltwood three times during my business trip--twice for breakfast and once for lunch. Each time the service was great and the food was delicious. The restaurant is beautifully designed, also.
Service is too slow and if you don’t get the salad bar the food takes forever to come out of the kitchen. Service is the problem not the food!
The server took forever to come by and ask for our drink order and only came by twice more the rest of the time we were there (Mind you, there were only 5 other tables seated). The charcuterie was below subpar for a place that has “charcuterie” in the name and the grilled bread was so stale I almost lost a tooth! All in all, we were very disappointed with this whole ordeal.
We had a good meal, but it was not as other meals we have had here. It was short staffed and difficult serving the guests in lobby eating area as well as those inside the restaurant, but the staff was doing a good job despite the situation. The bread with the charcuterie was not freshly toasted but our request was made quickly and the bread was great. The skirt steak dish was tender and well seasoned and the noodle bowl was good (tofu would be a good addition).
Perfect spot after a busy day to share food with coworkers. Everything we tried we really liked - chicken nuggets were plentiful, asparagus/ham salad was very fresh (although not the easiest to split 4 ways) and short ribs were very well-prepared and tasty. Would definitely go again!
The menu is tricky, each dish seems to have a few too many ingredients. The “Caesar” salad was odd, why call it a Caesar of the only classic Caesar ingredient is Romain? None of us enjoyed our dishes, not as expected. We left at least half of every dish uneaten. Servers didn’t find this unusual, and didn’t ask if everything was OK. We would not go back.
This place has become my favorite go to for lunch. Love it.
service by staff was delivered beyond our expectations.
Best salad in midtown.
Awesome food and good drinks! Super nice wait staff!
Typical lousy hotel restaurant. Noisy, mediocre service, waitress spilled an entire beer on one of our guests and made not restitution other than moving us to another table. Lack luster charcuterie.
nice cheese, uninspired meats, burn toasted bread. The manager never came to check on our soaked guest-no offer of a towel, to clean her outfit, a free beer, anything.
We live near Atlanta and will never come back. Too many much better restaurants in the area to bother with this one again.
We had a great experience for celebrating birthdays!
Saltwood's upscale salad bar at lunch is a superb combination of delicious, high-end options and value. Great for a business lunch.
The restaurant is open to the lobby. When we were there, there was a DJ in the lobby and the music was so loud it made it very difficult to talk. I'm a professional musician so when I say it was loud.. it was LOUD! Food was very good although their dinner bread tasted like it had just come out of a package and warmed in the microwave. If you can go during the day, it does have a nice atmosphere.
Amazing Service and Over The Top Special Chef Made Dessert for our daughters' birthday!!!
Everything came to us cold. The grilled bread for the charcuterie board, the biscuits, the gravy- all cold. The fried chicken was tasty though. It’s easily shareable. Overall, not impressive especially considering the price. I only ate here because I was staying at the hotel and we didn’t have time to leave for dinner.
The service was the best part about the restaurant. The bread was cold, the pasta starter was a dish worth sending back as soon as you try it and the main dishes have changed from the menu online. Overall the food was a great letdown. Finally to top off the lack luster food, they don’t validate parking for their own place which is foolish to say the least.
Enjoyed all the salad bar options. I also received good customer service.
The absolute best salad bar I have ever been to. Reasonable and accommodating! I go fo lunch at least once per week.
Food was good, but service was very slow
