The lunchtime salad bar is a must! With fresh, high-quality ingredients, the salads are delicious and an incredible value. A personal fav in Midtown!
Favorite salad bar! So many ingredients, great quality dressings and well seasoned proteins. And the dessert was good too!
I enjoyed Saltwood three times during my business trip--twice for breakfast and once for lunch. Each time the service was great and the food was delicious. The restaurant is beautifully designed, also.
Service is too slow and if you don’t get the salad bar the food takes forever to come out of the kitchen. Service is the problem not the food!
The server took forever to come by and ask for our drink order and only came by twice more the rest of the time we were there (Mind you, there were only 5 other tables seated). The charcuterie was below subpar for a place that has “charcuterie” in the name and the grilled bread was so stale I almost lost a tooth! All in all, we were very disappointed with this whole ordeal.
We had a good meal, but it was not as other meals we have had here. It was short staffed and difficult serving the guests in lobby eating area as well as those inside the restaurant, but the staff was doing a good job despite the situation. The bread with the charcuterie was not freshly toasted but our request was made quickly and the bread was great. The skirt steak dish was tender and well seasoned and the noodle bowl was good (tofu would be a good addition).
Perfect spot after a busy day to share food with coworkers. Everything we tried we really liked - chicken nuggets were plentiful, asparagus/ham salad was very fresh (although not the easiest to split 4 ways) and short ribs were very well-prepared and tasty. Would definitely go again!
The menu is tricky, each dish seems to have a few too many ingredients. The “Caesar” salad was odd, why call it a Caesar of the only classic Caesar ingredient is Romain? None of us enjoyed our dishes, not as expected. We left at least half of every dish uneaten. Servers didn’t find this unusual, and didn’t ask if everything was OK. We would not go back.
This place has become my favorite go to for lunch. Love it.
service by staff was delivered beyond our expectations.
Best salad in midtown.
Awesome food and good drinks! Super nice wait staff!
Typical lousy hotel restaurant. Noisy, mediocre service, waitress spilled an entire beer on one of our guests and made not restitution other than moving us to another table. Lack luster charcuterie.
nice cheese, uninspired meats, burn toasted bread. The manager never came to check on our soaked guest-no offer of a towel, to clean her outfit, a free beer, anything.
We live near Atlanta and will never come back. Too many much better restaurants in the area to bother with this one again.
We had a great experience for celebrating birthdays!
Saltwood's upscale salad bar at lunch is a superb combination of delicious, high-end options and value. Great for a business lunch.
The restaurant is open to the lobby. When we were there, there was a DJ in the lobby and the music was so loud it made it very difficult to talk. I'm a professional musician so when I say it was loud.. it was LOUD! Food was very good although their dinner bread tasted like it had just come out of a package and warmed in the microwave. If you can go during the day, it does have a nice atmosphere.
Amazing Service and Over The Top Special Chef Made Dessert for our daughters' birthday!!!
Everything came to us cold. The grilled bread for the charcuterie board, the biscuits, the gravy- all cold. The fried chicken was tasty though. It’s easily shareable. Overall, not impressive especially considering the price. I only ate here because I was staying at the hotel and we didn’t have time to leave for dinner.
The service was the best part about the restaurant. The bread was cold, the pasta starter was a dish worth sending back as soon as you try it and the main dishes have changed from the menu online. Overall the food was a great letdown. Finally to top off the lack luster food, they don’t validate parking for their own place which is foolish to say the least.
Enjoyed all the salad bar options. I also received good customer service.
The absolute best salad bar I have ever been to. Reasonable and accommodating! I go fo lunch at least once per week.
Food was good, but service was very slow
I loved the salad bar and thought the options on the bar and set up was so nice! The design of the place was really authentic and had a cool atmosphere. Unfortunately, there weren't many options besides the epic salad bar and the menus were not the same as listed online. If we had known what we were walking into before we went there we would've had a better experience. The website was very misleading. Our service was also not great which was surprising since the salad bar was self serve. Especially since the place advertises a charcuterie bar, I was expecting options along those lines but there were none.
Easter Brunch. They didn’t have their Easter Brunch menu or plans on line. Got there expecting their brunch menu, that was online. They told us that it was a prix fixe menu for $45 each. I thought well ok. I had two vegetarians with me. There were less options for them. Nothing was held in proper temps. No steamtables or chafing dishes. Everything was just in pots and bowls, or boards at room temp. My son is violently ill. Won’t be back. Sorry I went.
Easter brunch for $45 was not worth it. Hit or miss on the food, but absolutely not worth the price. $15 bottomless mimosa (no change to their normal menu) is a great deal for what you get. Wish I could say the same about the Easter brunch buffet.
Never thought I would crave a salad bar, but I've been to this place three times in a month! This is an excellent place to come for lunch with a coworker. Nice for chatting as you move through the salad line, and the decor and ambiance are lovely. Excellent choices and generous portions.
Interesting selections. Some items smaller portions than expected. Next to somewhat noisy bar scene with no separation wall.
What a little gem! And all hidden in the back lobby of the Loews Hotel Midtown. We
Started with a small cheese board and the deviled eggs - absolutely delightful! From there we had the Roasted Cauliflower - the first words from my wife’s mouths after tasting it was “can you make this?” - seared scallops in broth (just heavenly), and the steak frites with a chimicurri sauce we fought over. Can’t go wrong here.
Service was inattentive at best. For example every bottle of wine we ordered we had to pay for and we had to ask for water.
Food was mediocre. Cheeses plate could have been bought out of a grocery store.
The salad bar was great, but the line for it took half the lunch hour. I’d have to have more time to do this again.
Salad bar is awesome.
We had a wonderful meal with excellent and interesting small plates at Saltwood. We ate outside with the warm weather and had a pleasant time with the great staff service.
Horrible lighting. Tables around us were not bussed and reset. The whole dining room was still set for breakfast service and we came for dinner at 6pm.
We had the Saltwood Charcuterie followed by the apple cake, both were delicious. It would be nice if the charcuterie came with more than 2 meats and cheeses.
There was an event that evening and stood waiting for a host to show up at the entrance of the restaurant for 15 minutes. No one showed up so my friends and I sat in the bar area instead. We had to order everything (drinks and food) from the bartender since there were no servers floating around I suspect due to the event. Overall, the food was fine and the bartenders service was good but was sort of a pain to have to go to bar for drinks and food. Won't come again on a busy event night.
Staff was friendly but the rest of the experience was disappointing. The food had miniscule portions for the price. Steak was seriously underdone and served with the type of French fries you get from McDonald's. Service was really slow. Self-parking was not validated but it would have been if the valet service handled your car. Burger bar menu was not offered. Save your money.
It was great first time going there Food a little pricey but was good!
All service people were fine, food was not good, mostly cold to warm temperatures. Basic hotel dining room. Big disappointment .
Service was terrible, constantly waiting on drinks and the service team seemed disorganized not knowing what to do. The food seemed spoiled, would not go here again when there are so many other places in Atlanta that are far better.
Perfect date night place romantic and chic! Service was a little slow being that it wasn’t to busy but the fried chicken and the shrimp and grits made up for it we did the bbq empanadas which my husband seemed to really enjoy only advice i would give is bring new silverware between courses 8 out of 10
