My wife and went here for the charcuterie. Food was ok, nothing special. Service was very slow. There seemed to be an issue going on in another part of the restaurant but it took our waitress over 10 minutes to begin to serve us. Wouldn’t go back when we can get the same charcuterie elsewhere with better service.

The service was extremely disappointing- it took over 15 minutes to get a drink, which was incorrect. Our cheese board was brought out with no explanation of what cheeses were which - when the board was put on the table, some grapes rolled on the table, the server picked them up and put them back on the cheese board with his hands. During the course of the “meal” no one checked in to see how the food was or if our drinks needed refreshed. We left after one drink and the cheese plate. There was another table complaining about how awful their experience was and instead of getting a manager, the police were brought in - terrible customer service! For a high end hotel, and a restaurant that was NOT busy, I would expect MUCH better.

First, when I made the reservation the indication on Open Table was that there was limited availability. As soon as I made the reservation, I received a phone call from the restaurant that very aggressively wanted to make sure that I was sure I would be able to make it and that I would be there on time. They did make me aware that there was a limited menu, however they could not tell me what was on the menu and told me I should check the write up in the local newspaper for the "Best Places for dinner on Valentine's Day" for the menu. We arrived about 20 minutes early and the restaurant was basically empty. We were seated immediately. The restaurant slowly filled up over the 90 minutes that we were at our table, but nowhere near filled up to justify the limited reservation times and initial call to confirm the reservation. From there they had a limited choice of wine by the glass and the one my wife chose was $25 per glass with a very small pour. The appetizers were good. Both my wife and I got the crab cakes. The entrees were poor. I had the half smoked chicken and it was over cooked and very dry. My wife had the beef tenderloin and it was also overcooked. I got the red velvet cake for dessert and it was average. Fortunately my wife got the creme brulee and it was good so we ended on a fairly positive note. Big disappointment for what you would expect from a high end hotel restaurant and a Valentine's Day dinner.

Located in the Loew's hotel Atlanta midtown. Beautiful hotel; very modern but not cold; quite welcoming atmosphere; lounge and lobby were busy. Food was perfect, beautifully presented. Beautiful desserts. Impeccable service, yet friendly, not pretentious. Atmosphere in the dining room was nice, modern, but not luxurious feel. A very good value, and convenient for pre-theater or concert dinner at the Woodruff Center. Valet parking is included with dinner, but the valets were overwhelmed and not very friendly; not a bad wait for car though; just not the same greeting you get at the Ritz, Four Seasons, or even the Marriott Marquis for that matter.

I have eaten here a few times for lunch, once for brunch, and now for dinner. Each time I have been impressed with the inventiveness of the menu, the offerings, and the execution of the chef. I think this is one of Midtown's underrated restaurants!

I came with my best friend for her birthday and overall, the experience was severely lacking in service and food. We arrived 10 mins early for a 8p reservation and had to wait to be seated because the hostess was frazzled with a crowd of patrons wanting to dine. She paced aimlessly throughout the restaurant. I don’t know what she was doing. Finally at 8:15 she sat us, only to wait another 5-10mins before we were greeted by our server and ordered food and drinks. We got the 2 person charcuterie. Portions were very small but overall it board was average. Our server disappeared for about 25mins and we had to flag another server to order more drinks and dessert. For a restaurant in a hotel on a Friday night, there should be more staff, and better trained at that. Unfortunately I won’t be coming back. The price point isn’t worth the awful service to sit for 2hrs over an average cheeseboard.

It was hard to enjoy each course as the soup and salad Was served as we were only half way through our charcuterie. We covered our soup with a plate to keep warm.
Then our entree was brought out while we were eating our soup and salad. We covered the entree with a plate to keep warm.
None of the staff mentioned bringing the items to the kitchen to keep warm.
There were only two tables occupied in the restuarant so it was not like they needed our table.
The staff was friendly so that was appreciated.

Limited variety for a buffet. Waiter brought our drinks but only returned to hand us the bill even though both my husband and myself were out of drinks. Definitely not worth the money.

I made a reservation for 12:30 pm. Arrived at 12:10 pm, so hostess told us we had to wait 20 min- fair enough. She made a comment, which I did not receive well, that I had just made the reservation- what difference does it make if I made it 10 min ago or a month ago? A reservation made is a reservation.
I sat just across from the hostess, so we could see each other all the time. I noticed that there were many tables unoccupied. People with and without reservations arrived after us and they were told the same thing, they had to wait 20 min or order at the bar or lobby. Still, many tables available.
At 12:31 pm, I decided to talk to the hostess to remind her about my reservation and she said: "Yes, your table is ready"- Really? If I had not approached her, who knows how long the wait would have been. And again, 20+ min wait while there were tables available all along?
We ordered immediately, as we are regulars in the rest. and are already acquainted with the menu. After a 30+ wait, a man with a suit (I assumed he was the manager, he did not identify himself), brought us the food and apologized for the long wait. He offered free desserts to make up for the wait.
At this point, I had lost my appetite, and only wanted to leave. My son ordered a coffee, which was free of charge. I ordered a fried chicken sandwich, which was extra spicy and oily, not tasty at all.
I hope they get their act together. It is not a good business practice to make people wait for tables that are available. Many people just won't wait or won't return.
I live in Midtown, and this has been one of my top options for lunch for quite a while. I hope this was just a bad day, so I can still consider it an option in the future.

Noise level was horrible both nights we stayed at this hotel. They allowed two large wedding parties to take over the bar for hours. Should have been in a private room in our opinion. Would not have dined here if we had not had a food/beverage credit. Food and service were great but would not recommend due to noise.

Disappointed is the only word to describe my experience at Saltwood. I had a 8:30 am reservation for brunch. Per the website, brunch started at 6:30 am. However, when I arrived a bit before 8:30, I was told they had changed the start time to 9:00 am. I was not offered anything but water. I asked for coffee. Monica asked if I wanted milk with it. I said yes. Someone else brought the coffee, slung it on the table, and hurried away. No cream. I asked someone else for cream. Nothing.... Finally, Monica asked if I just wanted to order off the menu. I said no, but I would like some cream for my coffee (3rd ask). At 8:45 am, I asked if I could get a pastry to go with my coffee until brunch opened. She came back to say I could get a plain bagel, but nothing else. Really? It's 15 minutes until the buffet opens and they don't have 1 pastry? No one ever came back to say the buffet was open or explain what was offered or where the items were located. At 9:05, I got up and went to the bread display. There were no tongs or other serving pieces to get an item. Guess you use your fingers? I asked someone at another display if they had fruit, eggs, etc. He directed me to a small room (looked like a storage closet) where there were hot items and fruits on 3 sides of the room. Nothing was clearly labeled. The table next to me ordered the buffet. They were directed to the various stations for made to order omelets and other items. No one ever asked if I would like a refill on coffee. I flagged someone down to get more. Also, the online menu indicated a bar to create a yogurt parfait. I'm not sure where that was located. By that time, I was finished. This was a waste of money and time. There are too many great brunch spots in Midtown to ever go back to Saltwood. Avoid at all costs!

Depending on the day of the week, this can be a great place to go for a work lunch. However, if you're on a tight lunch hour, you might want to reconsider. We had plenty of time, and even asked for our check early to get our check-out under way, but it took an extreme amount of time to get out the door and we were late getting back to the office. Again, no big deal if you're the boss. We are not. Food is always great. Best bet is to make reservations. One big party can knock out a bunch of tables, and if there's a convention in town, forget about it. If you have trouble making decisions for salad toppings, go somewhere else -- they have tons of topping choices and gourmet salad oils and salts. And the bread pudding dessert? Oh my... Divine, indeed.

In the Lowes hotel, which is not obvious from the open table listing. Expensive and not too inspired.

This restaurant is going through a re-launch and they are trying new and exciting menu items. We tried the Grilled Octopus and the Pork Belly appetizers, both excellent. We also tried the Duck Confit entree and were not let down.

The service was fantastic, very attentive and courteous.

You HAVE to try their deserts.

The weekday lunch salad bar is so good! I love being able to build my salad just the way I want it. This spot used to be a known secret, but the masses are catching on. If you're feeling carbie, the cornbread and the bread pudding are both yummy!

We had a great experience, and since we had no idea what to expect- it made it more fun. We got a sample of everything- I think the fun is in the experimenting (what cheese goes with what meat and which topping).
If you decide to skip the meat/cheese/bread plate, they still have some good dishes. Both entrees were good, but if you're looking for cheap, then this is not the place for you.
