Noise level was horrible both nights we stayed at this hotel. They allowed two large wedding parties to take over the bar for hours. Should have been in a private room in our opinion. Would not have dined here if we had not had a food/beverage credit. Food and service were great but would not recommend due to noise.

The menu was different than on the open table, extremely limited. And they were out of items from even that small menu.

Disappointed is the only word to describe my experience at Saltwood. I had a 8:30 am reservation for brunch. Per the website, brunch started at 6:30 am. However, when I arrived a bit before 8:30, I was told they had changed the start time to 9:00 am. I was not offered anything but water. I asked for coffee. Monica asked if I wanted milk with it. I said yes. Someone else brought the coffee, slung it on the table, and hurried away. No cream. I asked someone else for cream. Nothing.... Finally, Monica asked if I just wanted to order off the menu. I said no, but I would like some cream for my coffee (3rd ask). At 8:45 am, I asked if I could get a pastry to go with my coffee until brunch opened. She came back to say I could get a plain bagel, but nothing else. Really? It's 15 minutes until the buffet opens and they don't have 1 pastry? No one ever came back to say the buffet was open or explain what was offered or where the items were located. At 9:05, I got up and went to the bread display. There were no tongs or other serving pieces to get an item. Guess you use your fingers? I asked someone at another display if they had fruit, eggs, etc. He directed me to a small room (looked like a storage closet) where there were hot items and fruits on 3 sides of the room. Nothing was clearly labeled. The table next to me ordered the buffet. They were directed to the various stations for made to order omelets and other items. No one ever asked if I would like a refill on coffee. I flagged someone down to get more. Also, the online menu indicated a bar to create a yogurt parfait. I'm not sure where that was located. By that time, I was finished. This was a waste of money and time. There are too many great brunch spots in Midtown to ever go back to Saltwood. Avoid at all costs!

Depending on the day of the week, this can be a great place to go for a work lunch. However, if you're on a tight lunch hour, you might want to reconsider. We had plenty of time, and even asked for our check early to get our check-out under way, but it took an extreme amount of time to get out the door and we were late getting back to the office. Again, no big deal if you're the boss. We are not. Food is always great. Best bet is to make reservations. One big party can knock out a bunch of tables, and if there's a convention in town, forget about it. If you have trouble making decisions for salad toppings, go somewhere else -- they have tons of topping choices and gourmet salad oils and salts. And the bread pudding dessert? Oh my... Divine, indeed.

In the Lowes hotel, which is not obvious from the open table listing. Expensive and not too inspired.

The quality of the food was good. We were disappointed that the already limited menu had changed recently. The service was pleasant but slow.

This restaurant is going through a re-launch and they are trying new and exciting menu items. We tried the Grilled Octopus and the Pork Belly appetizers, both excellent. We also tried the Duck Confit entree and were not let down.

The service was fantastic, very attentive and courteous.

You HAVE to try their deserts.

The weekday lunch salad bar is so good! I love being able to build my salad just the way I want it. This spot used to be a known secret, but the masses are catching on. If you're feeling carbie, the cornbread and the bread pudding are both yummy!

Service and food were outstanding. My server (sorry I forgot her name, she worked Sat night and Sunday brunch) was amazing!! My only suggestion would be to expand the menu selections to have more choices for dinner.

We had a great experience, and since we had no idea what to expect- it made it more fun. We got a sample of everything- I think the fun is in the experimenting (what cheese goes with what meat and which topping).
If you decide to skip the meat/cheese/bread plate, they still have some good dishes. Both entrees were good, but if you're looking for cheap, then this is not the place for you.

Second time at Saltwood. Experience has declined significantly. There is no charcuterie carving any more and variety has really deteriorated.

Waited an hour plus on our entree. Just as we were cancelling our food to leave, our food arrived. It was warm at best. Other tables that were seated after us , received their food. Something was very wrong.

This restaurant was so delicious! I had trout and my friend had the rib eye steak. We also shared a cheese board. The atmosphere was beautiful and the creative cocktails were delicious and the wine selection was great. I can't wait to go again.

Just not worth the prices at all. The place was pretty empty, so I guess I missed the memo. For these prices, I would expect professional servers, but it was more like Ruby Tuesday’s. Food was okay, but fried chicken was not $29 good.

Service was terrible -- we waited forever to order, and then to have the food delivered. When the food was delivered, it was cold and we sent it back to be warmed. 15 minutes later, the food came out, and it was of marginal quality. I called the manager over, he apologized, then the poor service continued.

Sunday afternoon must not be a good time to go to Saltwood. It was almost empty, and still the service was extremely poor.

It was a very poor choice for a special occasion. We will not be going back and I will spread the word to avoid.

Our brunch experience did not live up to expectations; while the restaurant is comfortable enough, and the service was pleasant, it took over half an hour to get our food. We had an 8:45am reservation to beat the brunch crowds, and the restaurant only had 3 other tables of patrons when were seated (so not busy or crowded), and while the food was alright, it was stone cold upon arrival (chicken and waffles, the ham and cheese). Coffee wasn't that great, and refills were served tepid. They pushed their buffet (both the hostess and server), and it wasn't anything special, especially at the price point, and besides, if I'm going to have a nice brunch, I want food cooked to order. Atlanta has too many wonderful places to have brunch so I can't say that I will return to Saltwood.

The menu is confusing and misleading. Nowhere does it say the charcuterie for one is only one piece of meat and one cheese. Once we figured that out, and attempted to order, 2 of the 5 meat choices were not available. The pulled pork was more like a cold sausage... The pork pate was very bland. The Caesar salad was a pretty presentation, but whole leaves of romaine are difficult to eat or cut!
