What Insiders Are Saying
Salt's Cure recently made the bold move to Hollywood, and it's clear that they made the right choice.
Must get the pork chop or duck breast - both are incredible!
A very good restaurant! We stopped in for a quick bite before a show, not much from the outside but lovely wood interior with lots of plants. The food was very good, too!
We were looking for a casual with a relaxed vibe and delicious food. SALTS CURE came through in spades. Props to the fantastic staff and the spot on food. Have been many times and will continue to do so in the future.
We’ve been to this restaurant a half dozen times and each time the waitstaff has been friendly and welcoming, the food, delicious. Hands down the best pork chop in LA!
First time patron. Relied on reviews - (some of which were reserved- but I still made the reservation and was looking forward to the restaurant and experience). Whilst the food was good, and presentation reasonable, the wait staff and noise levels were very disappointing. Perhaps Saturday night is not the A game, or maybe my expectations were too high. The music was too loud - especially for a restaurant barely quarter full, and no volume adjustment as the restaurant emptied. Wait staff interrupted conversations (three tines), struggled to understand the wine requests, and removed plates before we had both finished. Very ordinary service. And lights dimmed and turned off at 10.50 as the hint to leave, without regard or discussion. Maybe at the end of the day I am not this restaurant’s target demographic. I’m not sure I’d give it a second chance with a repeat visit. Sad as I high expectations. Maybe it all works better on a busier nights. Saturday night did not seem to be one of those nights.
Nice and simple fresh American fare with a twist. Young friendly staff.
Great food... and drinks... the oatcakes are sooooo wonderful... as was the liver pudding and pork chop...nice place to go before the celebration theater
Enjoyed our lunch! Great food, wine, beer and service!
Great menu, very cute place. Our server made excellent recommendations for our food and wine pairings. Great for a special occasion or a mid-week meal out.
Seems a little run down. Especially outside. But food was quite good and bartender creative.
Food took forever
The rockfish special and the always brilliant pork chop were simply terrific.
Cocktails were innovative, the food we tried was excellent not presentations that we see all over, only problem was strong cleaner smell
A revelation in pork chop! Everything was fantastic and the staff couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating.
An amazing experience with wonderful guidance through the must haves on the menu from our server Cynthia.
Nice quiet place with excellent service and yummy food. I had duck breast and a side of cooked carrots.
This was an excellent meal.... mussel soup, sweet potato appetizer -- fantastic The duch with the oatmeal pancake and the chicken are great. They were out f the pork. what a great meal.
They just need an espresso machine. and it would be perfect.
Caesar was limp and texturally unpleasant - no acid to the dressing. Pretty disappointing.
Eat there frequently and always enjoy the food and the vibe
Had a difficult time getting in contact with the restive for our reservation. When the gentleman finally answered the phone he said since they don’t open until 11, no one would answer the phone. Which doesn’t quite make sense, but maybe they try to cut down on labor. Came for a birthday brunch with my parents from England and our chef from Per Se. we’ve heard wonderful things about this place which now seem over exaggerated. The food was pretty good, my mother enjoyed her avocado toast. The only failing part of the meal was the service. Not very attentive. Now I’m not one who needs a lot of attention, but a server with a poor attitude and having to track down someone for water and a drink is not for me! So to the BOH, thank you, everything was lovely!
Great food and service.
I've only been here for lunch, but the food is always good and fresh. Maybe not the largest menu selection or portions for the price, but the food is tasty , the service is good and the atmosphere comfortable.
Annette Bening at the next table was a nice treat. But most of all, the food and drink was exceptional, along with great friendly service.
Great new experience here!
Amazing food! <3
We started a bachelorette party here, each person had different dietary needs and our waiter was knowledgeable. All of the food was elevated & delicious. Balanced, well cooked, simply amazing.
The bar tender was also great & the old fashioned was legit.
Even for our pickiest group member this was a success!
Thank you for feeding us well, we will all
Excellent service, fantastic food
Dinner at Salt's Cure is such a treat. There's always imaginative, perfectly prepared specials -- this time rutabaga dumplings and Santa Barbara rockfish on a yam puree. Outstanding food, a waiter who really cares, and you can actually hear what your tablemate says. We've been there 2x this month and look forward to the next time.
Salt's Cure has been open a whole, and it doesn't have the same magic it used to....but it's still a solid dinner out, and many dishes remain excellent.
Lovely evening and excellent food!! We would definitely come back!
The dishes were inventive and delicious and the service was excellent. I will definitely be returning!
The food was fantastic.
Really good food and nice atmosphere. Good service, as well. We will be back!
A shadow of its former self.
Overpriced and underachieving. $60 for two salads topped with a salmon half the size of my palm. And my salmon had a small bone still in it. Left feeling annoyed & unsatisfied. This place drank its own koolaid... not the same anymore.
It's true what they say about the pork chop! Absolutely fantastic!
Lovely lovely staff, great atmosphere, and excellent food.
I think I may have just ordered the wrong thing. I ordered dumplings with duck. It was a small dish with a smattering of some duck shavings and not the flavor bomb it should have been. The roasted veggies side dish was very nice, however. My friend ordered the muscles, which he liked, but he wasn't bouncing off the walls about it. We looked at other people's tables and noticed some nice looking dishes. Might try it again. Not sure.
From the dark pretzel to the roasted grapes and arugula salad to the curry encrusted salmon, all were delicious! Also, started with a tasty Fire Island cocktail. The service all the way around (waitress, bartender and even valet) was fantastic. We will for sure be back with friends. It can get a bit loud but not too bad. Rustic, modern, casual and fun.
