We chose the pre-fixe although it really was not any bargain. The roasted corn was wonderful, if not a bit spicy. We tried the osso bucco, which was excellent, the roasted butternut squash, which I could have had more of and the salmon, which was very good, too. The desserts were lacking. My brother did not like the touch of chili in his chocolate cake and I found the mango-topped cake to be disappointing.

Food was good but overpriced. There were bread plates, but we had to ask for bread. We actually left hungry. The waiter was not very attentive. Didn’t check back with us during the meal. A bit disappointed. I expected a better experience.

We sat outside (in January)! They had heat lamps which added a bit of warmth, having the fountain running and the lights around it provided a beautiful ambience. Our waiter was very attentive, I think his name was Jeremy. We had the prime rib-eye and the salmon special. You must try the appetizers: deviled eggs and the corn -- they were both delicious!
Service was excellent. The staff sent a hand written birthday card which was a nice touch for our friend's birthday dinner.

Outstanding service! Great drinks and dinner was very good. In addition, they wrote us a personaluzed card for our Anniversary since we told them we were in Sedona celebrating our 25th anniversary. Must go!

The food and service was wonderful. There is a beautiful view and patio seating. The indoor area is eclectic and well decorated. Highly recommend the West Fork Margarita!

Had we known it was in a hotel/ resort lobby we would not have gone. Overpriced...Lots of kids....just a hotel meal. Lovely service, but not worth the price by any means...

Went for my husbands birthday- deviled eggs were delicious as was beer cheese dip. See we was very helpful customizing menu for kids tastes. Diver scallops were excellent with corn risotto- ribeyes were good but not great. S’mores sundae was excellent and compliments of server which was very kind. Evening was chilly and staff were ensuring sufficient heaters to keep clients warm and provided blankets if requested. Lovely service and a very nice evening. The sun devil cocktail was great!

Booked this restaurant, blindly, on Open Table. Absolutely enjoyed our evening and meal there. From the valet to the Hostess to the bartenders to the servers, everyone was so friendly, helpful and, by the time we left, felt like good friends. The restaurant itself is warm and welcoming, open with a modern vibe. Our drinks were spot on and the food offerings were brilliant. Really one of our highlights in Sedona that weekend. With all the natural beauty in Sedona, that's saying a lot!

My wife and I go to Sedona every year between Christmas & New Years. This was our first time at Saltrock. WOW, the view, the food and the service was outstanding. We both had the Un-burnt Margarita, pretty tasty and unlike many of places on 89A, you could actually tell there was alcohol in our drinks. Highly recommend it!

Great Ambience in Sedona mountains. Food very mediocre for price. Burger a joke with pre-cooked dried up patties.

The food is mediocre and overpriced. For example, the meat and cheese plate was $22 and the meat consisted of exactly three slices of salami. We sent the dessert back and even the waiter admitted it was tasteless. Keep your money in your pocket and spend it somewhere else.

We had dinner here when we stayed at the Amara Resort. I guess its ok, but agree with other diners that its way over priced for what it is. My husband's $50 steak really needed salt. How is it even possible to make a simple steak taste not that great? I had Osso bucco. It was meh at $40. We also sampled over dressed kale salad, grilled corn drowning in mayo, & the driest cake I have ever eaten. The service was very friendly, the view was amazing, & the margaritas were pretty good.

We had a solid meal at Salt Rock but the quality and execution of the dishes varied. For example, the chicken and grilled corn were good but not exceptional but the soft shell crab was excellent. Definitely recommend speaking with the waiter about the menu before ordering.

it would have been great if they provided baked potatoes to compliment the Prime rib, other than that our waiter was superb, all bus people paid attention to our table when necessary and not over powering. it made our dinner celebration with our friends for Christmas Eve event more enjoyable.

Thank you fir making our Christmas Eve more special.

Keep in mind valet parking is complimentary if you are not staying at the hotel. We had drinks and dinner at Saltrock on a Saturday evening. The craft cocktails tasted amazing and were enjoyed on the beautiful terrace. While the terrace did have heaters, it was a bit nippy for our tastes but can imagine it would be a pleasant dining experience for Spring through Fall. Overall the meal was excellent, we would definitely come back on another trip to Sedona.

A hotel restaurant with great view. It's a bit pricy but worth the service, ambiance, and most importantly the food. Small menu with thoughtfulness and carefully prepared.

We ate outdoors, on the patio, so it was quiet. Indoors was packed and lively. Also, it was mid-December abd cool outside, but we were warmed by the space heaters. All in all, a very pleasant experience. (This is at a Kimpton resort.)

Saltrock has potential... Between three of us, we all tried four different cocktails (off menu) and they were barely OK. Not too sweet, which is good, but flavorless, none of the tequila's came through. Disappointing. The beer cheese was also lacking in big flavor, and to boot, barely enough in the container to match the price point. We had over 2/3's of chips left over after we scraped the small bowl of cheese. Calamari was spoiled by the egg yolk, of which we dutifully flowed over the very small serving, as suggested. It made the breading soggy. Clever, but a failure. The guacamole was lacking salt and lime, the additions are VERY family friendly (no spice) but a good idea if they can up the flavor profile. The ambiance is so wonderful, the service was friendly, fun and on point. The kitchen needs step up.

Lovely outdoor patio with good heaters for a chilly Sedona November evening. Creative food and cocktails. Got the prix fixe choices but thought desserts were not quite as good as the rest, except for the chili chocolate cake.

Kimpton hotels tend to be swanky, but this one seems to be an exception. The patio seating was in a soulless setting, with the patio sloping away from the center so half the guests sit on chairs that lean away from the table. That was the good news. The food was completely uninspired. The server was either a surfer dude or a stoner (possibly both) who literally tossed the silverware on the table. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Dining with a fun and lively vibe. Saturday evening had a guitarist that added to the atmosphere. Too cold to sit outside for dinner but imagine the views are fantastic. Pork posole soup was amazing and flavorful and the Scallops were delicious on top of the corn risotto. Inspiring and flavorful dish without too much spice (after a week of southwest chile and spice we wanted something with less heat and this was perfect). Would definitely recommend this restaurant. :-)

We were in Sedona for 1 night celebration a birthday. We made a reservation on Saturday at 8pm, about a month prior to our trip. We arrive and check in, were told to sit in the lobby. After seeing the hostess seat people who had come in after us, she said "they were pushy". This was 3-4 couples. We left after 30 minutes and went to Rene which was awesome. Wouldn't recommend this for a special occasion.

Hostess told us we either needed to sit outside or we would have to wait for a table. And this is after they called me earlier in the day to confirm our reservation. It was freezing outside. They said they would bring heaters to the table and it would be comfortable. It wasn’t. I complained to the hostess on the way out. She proceeded to tell me that I should not have been offended to be seated outside in the cold. We had never been there before and assumed it would be okay to sit outside, because why would they even have it as an option if it was uncomfortable. Wrong. It was absurd to sit us outside. Freezing.

I ordered a single malt scotch and they served me grand mariner. When I questioned it they proceeded to tell me that the scotch I ordered was aged in a port wine barrel an that was why it tasted sweet. Wrong. It wasn’t scotch. They later admitted that they served me the wrong drink.

We won’t be back . Food was decent. But the price and service don’t make it worth it. Won’t be back.

Come for the margaritas. Stay for the chocolate chili cake. We had dinner with the Sun Devil and Flora Senora margaritas, mezcal flight, deviled eggs, grilled corn, duo of chicken, carnitas tacos and chocolate chili cake. Everything was delicious and flavorful. The ambiance with the live guitarist on the patio was great. Our server was attentive but did not hover. We really enjoyed the experience and would like to return for lunch to see the spectacular red rock views when we're in Sedona again.
