Dining with a fun and lively vibe. Saturday evening had a guitarist that added to the atmosphere. Too cold to sit outside for dinner but imagine the views are fantastic. Pork posole soup was amazing and flavorful and the Scallops were delicious on top of the corn risotto. Inspiring and flavorful dish without too much spice (after a week of southwest chile and spice we wanted something with less heat and this was perfect). Would definitely recommend this restaurant. :-)

We were in Sedona for 1 night celebration a birthday. We made a reservation on Saturday at 8pm, about a month prior to our trip. We arrive and check in, were told to sit in the lobby. After seeing the hostess seat people who had come in after us, she said "they were pushy". This was 3-4 couples. We left after 30 minutes and went to Rene which was awesome. Wouldn't recommend this for a special occasion.

Hostess told us we either needed to sit outside or we would have to wait for a table. And this is after they called me earlier in the day to confirm our reservation. It was freezing outside. They said they would bring heaters to the table and it would be comfortable. It wasn’t. I complained to the hostess on the way out. She proceeded to tell me that I should not have been offended to be seated outside in the cold. We had never been there before and assumed it would be okay to sit outside, because why would they even have it as an option if it was uncomfortable. Wrong. It was absurd to sit us outside. Freezing.

I ordered a single malt scotch and they served me grand mariner. When I questioned it they proceeded to tell me that the scotch I ordered was aged in a port wine barrel an that was why it tasted sweet. Wrong. It wasn’t scotch. They later admitted that they served me the wrong drink.

We won’t be back . Food was decent. But the price and service don’t make it worth it. Won’t be back.

Scenic Beauty! Average food. Known for craft margaritas. Make sure you eat outside.

Not gluten friendly- promised but not delivered - Partners meal was excellent.
Pricey with unusual driveway entrance and unknown valet parking until asked to move.

Great service and food selection was more than ample. Portions are somewhat small for price but food flavor makes up for it.

Come for the margaritas. Stay for the chocolate chili cake. We had dinner with the Sun Devil and Flora Senora margaritas, mezcal flight, deviled eggs, grilled corn, duo of chicken, carnitas tacos and chocolate chili cake. Everything was delicious and flavorful. The ambiance with the live guitarist on the patio was great. Our server was attentive but did not hover. We really enjoyed the experience and would like to return for lunch to see the spectacular red rock views when we're in Sedona again.

This is the first time I’ve been to Saltrock although I had been to the hotel a few years ago. I thought the food was creative and had great complex flavors without being over powering. Wade our server was great. His recommendations were on point. The deviled egg app was to die for. If I could have licked the plate I would have. I will say that there was a party of people in the bar that were really loud. Since there is no sound barrier it really hurt the dining experience. Outside area is very nice as well. They had blankets and heated lamps to take the chill off during the cooler weather.

We had been to Salt Rock on our last trip to Sedona and wanted to introduce friends accompanying us this year to it. Weather was warm enough we elected to sit outside and enjoy the view. We all shared the roasted corn appetizer; very tasty. Next we had the soft shell crab; about the best we have ever had anywhere. Main course was salmon and our friends had mahi mahi tacos. Had a nice bottle of white wine along with the food. Altogether, a very perfect dining experience for all. Can't wait to go back again next fall.

I haden't been to this resort in about 6-8 years, and was pleasantly surprised by the changes, and the addition of Saltrock Restaurant. My Aunt and I had a delicious dinner, with a great glass of wine. We loved every bite, and we got a fabulous sunset to boot. Will go back for more soon. Excellent outside atomosphere, views, fire pits and heaters are around for when the weather changes. Inside is nice as well. Food comes in perfect portions, delicious and unique.

No one at the front desk. Outdoor area looked attractive but music too loud, so sat inside. This lacked any ambience and turned out to be excessively noisy from nearby tables. Food was OK, but expensive. Service was slow, but waiter, Juan, was pleasant and helpful.

If the weather is nice, eat outside, it is great!

The food and service are excellent. My wife had the scallops, well prepared and the risotto was very flavorful. I had the Osso Bucco - wow, this dish was great! they have a terrific wine and cocktail list. If in Sedona, I'd highly recommend Saltrock.

My husband and I came to the Saltrock for my birthday. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere even though the seats are not very comfortable. Our waitress was extremely nice and efficient. My husband had the scallops and I had two appetizers-grilled corn and soft shell crab. Both meals were very good. Since it was my birthday the waitress brought a cake free of charge. This cake was very dry. Overall our experience was very good.

Attentive service, creative and delicious menu offerings and craft cocktails, all with a spectacular view. While traffic was terrible from Flagstaff, this was well worth it! Even the valet attendant was helpful, which was complimentary with dinner, asking if we needed any directions. We will definitely be back the next time we visit the area!

Saltrock is right through the lobby of Amara Resort, which is a beautiful property. The restaurant had a great ambience, with decor unlike any other restaurant I have been to (think southwest meets art gallery). The outdoor patio is amazing, with a fire pit and a beautful fountain, and the resort pool visible in the distance. I thought the cuisine was extremely flavorful and creative. Our waiter Juan was really great too. Solid thumbs up for this spot :)

Decided to have dinner here first night after a long drive. Location was great, decent views of the Red Rocks during dinner. Comfortable outdoor seating. Service was fast and efficient. Food was slightly hit or miss. We had the roasted corn appetizer which was great as well as the shrimp and grits. My wife had the ossobuco which she really really liked. I had chicken two ways which is not on the menu and may have been a special of the night. Sauce was then and under season. The chicken leg was cooked well the breast was overdone.

The food was good, but not great for the price.
It is a little difficult to sit inside when it is busy because it becomes a consistent flow of people in and out of the outside patio. I'd imagine eating out there is a great, but the in-and-out makes it become cold if you sit near the door.
The portions are small, but tasty. Grilled corn is worth getting. The tempura fried mahi mahi tacos taste good, but often come out soggy because of whatever they put on the fish.

Our server and food was amazing but I would say that your other bar staff and hostess needs to be mindful about what they say about customers. We were visiting from Phoenix and ran late to our 5PM reservation because we were unaware that we would not be able to take a lyft or uber to the restaurant. When I called to inform the restaurant we were running late the bar staffed answered. I explained we were running behind and apologized and before I could finish my sentence they placed me on hold. But what the bar staff did not know is that I was not placed on hold and I sat there while they talked badly about me for being late for my reservation.

From there I spoke to the hostess who was also very rude and short with me about running behind. When we finally arrived at the restaurant I was thinking that it would be packed and that's why everyone was so rude about running late for my reservation but it was the opposite. The restaurant was not crowded at all so I feel that I should not have been made to feel that way when there was a lot of room left.

I was there to celebrate a nice dinner and the whole process gave me a bad taste in my mouth.
