This place was wonderful. The cocktail list was impressive, food was impeccable, and the waitstaff was outstanding.
Wonderful night in the patio with view of the glowing red rocks at sunset! Our server was spot-on with food (cooked to perfection) and drink (creative!) suggestions for each of us. A must enjoy place.
The food was excellent. Not to many choices but what we had was delicious!
The food was not flavorful. The atmosphere was ordinary. Would not return. Too many other places to eat in Sedona.
We stayed at the hotel, but booked on open table anyway. Glad we did cause the hostess was not very welcoming. We showed up early and she would not sit us down despite the restaurant being empty till the exact time of the booking. She kept saying come back in 5 but wouldn’t seat us. It was hard to understand cause there were more free tables than full and we were guests at the hotel.
This is quite good food, prepared with some original twists that play on regionally common recipes and dishes. The grilled corn is, as well noted otherwise, great. The margaritas were the standouts- orginal and just the right mix of flavors. Service was sincere and prompt. Not always as smooth as one would hope with this level of dining. Views are wonderful, although we were placed near a serving area and with a limited view. As with much of Sedona and Grand Canyon the serving staff seems relatively unsure and inexperienced and could use some more supportive but guiding supervision. Overall, while quite satisfying it would not stand out much except there are few high quality restaurants to compete with.
Great restaurant. The wine selection is not great but they make a mean Margarita.
We ate dinner here during our vacation in Sedona. The setting outside is lovely. Great red rocks view and a fire as well as warmers on a cool March evening. The drinks and dinner were excellent. I would revommend the roasted corn appetizer. The tomato bisque was delicious and a little spicy. Lovely dining spot.
Be careful what you order. I tried shrimp on rice. The rice was horrible.
Then I tried their so-called stuffed pepper. This was terrible too. Everything was scattered on top of a flattened pepper.
Skip it you don't want it.
Overall, a disappointment and not nearly worth the menu prices. The place was nearly empty and the hostess sat us in a dark and drafty area near a door that opened to the patio. To his credit our waiter Jeremy saw that we were uncomfortable and offered to move us. He continued to do a fine job but everything else was below expectations. A martini was watery. The food was routine in preparation and presentation (roasted salmon and "duo" chicken), reminiscent of a mediocre hotel dining room. Was the chef off on the Monday we were there? The place lacked polish and we will not return.
The staff was attentive and the food good. I loved the outside dining but it was too cold. Looking forward to some warmer weather and eating outside. Beautiful views
Food and service were good. Nothing special but fine for a casual dinner.
Great service and view, relaxing great evening.
Great views and very good food. Service was very attentive. Good team work.
Carne asada tacos, roasted corn and a margarita! Simple but executed perfectly.
Excellent restaurant, fabulous views, great food and service. The appetizer scallops and shrimp were prepared to perfection. The spicy devilled eggs were also unique and delicious. Know that the restaurant is in the Amara hotel and you can complimentary valet park. It is a long walk down the hill, but much tougher going back up.
Olivia was a very sweet server.
The chicken was delicious. Some of the best I’ve ever tasted. Corn soup was very nice as was the salmon.
Great place for a relaxing dinner. Food and service was really good. Nice variety and atmosphere.
Valentines dinner with friends. Waiter was very scattered, not that professional, spoke poorly. When placing my friends dinner on the table the salmon fell of the edge of the plate partially on the table..he just left. The finale of the night was when he was pouring the last of the wine in my husbands glass and was actually pouring it on the table. Food was average - good value.
Good food, a bit pricey. Extremely attentive staff. I don’t remember the last time I was asked so often “how everything is”. Mostly by our waiter but also by the M’aitre de and someone else, maybe the manager. Good size portions, pork shank was a bit bland, needed a sauce perhaps. Excellent beans with chorizo, excellent vegan stuffed peppers. Appetizers were quite good too, grilled corn, and shrimp on lemon grits. Chocolate cake was good but not special.
The staff went above and beyond to make our lunch special. We were celebrating our engagement and the staff were all genuinely excited and made our meal very special.
We found Saltrock to be way overrated. Our appetizers came 10 minutes before our drinks. The food was fine, but nothing special and way overpriced. The service was below average. The highlight was the guitar player. There are much better options in Sedona.
Great food and location. From Valet service to greeter to hotel and server staff. All so accomadating. Lovey views and always not crowded. Out of the way from the strip. John our server very good
We ordered from the Prix Fixe Menu. Each choice was amazing and so delicious. We sat outside by the fountain under the heater which was cozy and very nice. The service was wonderful.
We requested outdoor seating and the hostess placed us by the fire pit and a heater since she knew we were from Florida and it was somewhat of a cool night. My husband and I decided to split 3 courses and, even then, serving sizes were plentiful. We started with roasted corn which had a bit of creaminess and some crunch from mini-corn nuts. Next was a kale salad with berries, smoked whole almonds and a sweet citrusy vinaigrette. Last was the Brick Chicken prepared in duck fat (confit) which added a nice crunch to the skin, a jalapeño corn muffin and some roasted brussel sprouts with julienne green apples. Everything was delicious! Our hostess and waitstaff was prompt, friendly and always there when needed. The atmosphere was romantic and inviting. Highly recommend!
First time in Sedona. Four of us enjoyed the upbeat energy and great atmosphere. Three of us are gluten sensitive. Did not phase the kitchen. Gourmet quality with delicious appetizers that could have been the meal. Main courses were done to perfection with a brilliant pork ossocbuco and delectable huge scallops in another. We did not have dessert but will next time. Great experience!
The classic margarita was one of the best I've ever had. The sun devil drink was also delicious. The food was cooked perfectly.
We came for my S/O birthday and had the best time. The food was amazing, cooked to perfection, and our waiter was so kind and pleasant. We ate outside and they put on the heaters for us as well as had the fireplace going. The view from our table was beautiful. It was a great evening, will definitely be going back.
Best place in Sedona!!
The patio is gorgeous and the staff attentive, but the food was nothing special. The salmon I ordered was over cooked. The menu was inventive. Perhaps I just ordered the wrong thing
Starters were a little weak, especially the soup of the day, but mains were spot on.
Quaint yet modern vibe with great dishes (we had the osso bucco and the seared scallops, which were both cooked perfectly and extremely tasty), as well as great cocktails and a friendly, welcoming staff.
Octopus app was great! Vegetarian entree and Squash soup also great. Medium rare salmon was delivered well done. The server and MOD handled the return quickly and graciously. Chocolate Chili cake was served on the house and was delicious!
Excellent live music—guitarist. The dining room was cold as the door was opened onto a terrace warmed by heatolators. The cold draft was most uncomfortable. Staff promptly closed the door at our request. Thank
This restaurant was a great experience. We opted to eat outside on the beautiful terrace. It was a pretty chilly night but there were heaters surrounding us. After a couple of mishaps with the heaters we were cozy. The cocktails and food were delicious. My salmon was perfectly cooked and melted in my mouth. My husband loved his Osso buco with cassoulet. Spicy but enjoyable. We had a great evening on our first night in Sedona.
We chose the pre-fixe although it really was not any bargain. The roasted corn was wonderful, if not a bit spicy. We tried the osso bucco, which was excellent, the roasted butternut squash, which I could have had more of and the salmon, which was very good, too. The desserts were lacking. My brother did not like the touch of chili in his chocolate cake and I found the mango-topped cake to be disappointing.
Food was good but overpriced. There were bread plates, but we had to ask for bread. We actually left hungry. The waiter was not very attentive. Didn’t check back with us during the meal. A bit disappointed. I expected a better experience.
We sat outside (in January)! They had heat lamps which added a bit of warmth, having the fountain running and the lights around it provided a beautiful ambience. Our waiter was very attentive, I think his name was Jeremy. We had the prime rib-eye and the salmon special. You must try the appetizers: deviled eggs and the corn -- they were both delicious!
Service was excellent. The staff sent a hand written birthday card which was a nice touch for our friend's birthday dinner.
Outstanding service! Great drinks and dinner was very good. In addition, they wrote us a personaluzed card for our Anniversary since we told them we were in Sedona celebrating our 25th anniversary. Must go!
The food and service was wonderful. There is a beautiful view and patio seating. The indoor area is eclectic and well decorated. Highly recommend the West Fork Margarita!
Had we known it was in a hotel/ resort lobby we would not have gone. Overpriced...Lots of kids....just a hotel meal. Lovely service, but not worth the price by any means...
