Saltrock Southwest Kitchen
Enjoy spectacular Red Rock views with indoor/outdoor seating year round (weather permitting). Saltrock Southwest Kitchen & Craft Margaritas is a Southwest American Restaurant that blends Southwest culinary traditions with the fresh and seasonal approach of California cuisine in a casual fun atmosphere.
salsa Verde, cotija, pickled onions, radish, cilantro
Limited menu. Pretty expensive for 4 tacos. Should come with some sides or something you can use to bulk out a full meal.
Great view & service Imelda was great!! Thank you
Food was not very tasty. The sauce that we ordered honestly tasted like canned tomato soup. The selection of items is also very poor and the total bill was very high for the quality of food. Honestly would not recommend.
We had a wonderful dining experience for my birthday. This place had such good ambience, awesome views and a cute fake lawn area which was a nice added touch for us to relax at and have a bottle of wine after dinner. Our waitress Destiny was awesome too. Wonderful service. We ordered filet mignon and gnocchi which was cooked perfectly.
Wonderful experience for our visit to Saltrock Southwest Kitchen. The view of the Red Rocks as the sun was setting was amazing. The food and drinks were awesome - especially the Sun Devil margaritas! They handled social distancing and the whole Covid situation very well! Highly recommend a visit!
Love rhis place
Our server Wade was a gem! All of our food was just as ordered and really delicious. The drinks were equally as tasty. We highly recommend SaltRock for service, food and a fantastic view!
We hadn't been to Saltrock since the new chef and the menu has definitely changed. It is clearly designed to be more Southwest in nature with mostly gourmet tacos, gazpacho, etc., as opposed to the more eclectic menu that existed previously. The service was OK, the wine list is skimpy and the views remain great. One problem with the patio is that it is the way that a lot of guests get to the pool and lawn area, so there is a lot of traffic through the patio while you're dining and a lot of distraction from the lawn area. The elote is very good.
Great service and margs! Beautiful view for sunset.
Fish of the day was well prepared and an interesting combination of accompaniments
Love their one page menu and the views of the red rocks. Highly recommended their chorizo.
The ladie who took care of us was extremely kind and professional 😊
The food was just average, spent $200 but wasn't wowed by the food at all. You can get the same food for a fraction of the price somewhere else.
The waffles we're very good. Not too sweet, not too plain. Prepared and presented in a way that was appealing to the eye. Waitress was very kind and attentive. There was also a very nicely dressed man that I believe was a manager of some sort. He was very kind/comforting as well.
I had gone to the restaurant for brunch thinking it’d be good since they accepted my open table. When I got there they sat us down, gave us water and utensils then 20 minutes later, after inquiring, they proceeded to tell us the kitchen was closed.
Don’t sit someone down, and not tell them the kitchen is closed. Waste of time and just puts a damper on your mood when you are trying to enjoy your morning.
We felt that the overall experience was not great. The brick flooring outside was stained and dirty, with lots of little maintenance issues. Guacamole did not taste good, so we did not eat. Rather than make a fuss, we just paid and left. The overall patio experience leaves a lot to be desired.
The reviews are faux !
Same restaurant than Amara, they changed the Name and buy reviews.
The food is terrible, I took the Salad fruits burrata, my husband and daughter took market shop hanger steak .
The Hanger steak were very small, for 54 Dollars (tax included) (under French size)
For me the burrata was not fresh at all and of poor quality.
They charged 5$ for bread. (And it’s the only thing I ate)
The total of our bill was 140 and were still hungry !
Beautiful location but limited menu. Chose peach burrata salad with salmon. Salmon was over cooked ☹️ Daughter had same salad with steak (4 small bites of overcooked steak-underwhelming). Friend had best luck with house green salad with salmon (also over cooked) but salad was good. Was expecting a more impressive meal considering reviews.
The staff was excellent and our waitress was very friendly! Bartender did a great job too! The house made hot sauce was worth going for!
The view of Snoopy Rock was AWESOME!
The overpriced drinks and joke of Guacamole and chips for $17 and a refill of chips for $5 was a huge turn off! Will not be returning unless their prices become realistic
Fantastic birthday lunch. Excellent service that made sure we finished in time for our tee time.
Great View! But the food was not great. Too limited menu. Carnitas and Shrimp Tacos and Cuban Sandwich. Very bland food. Won't go back.
Scenic outdoor dining area with red rock views.
Great food- my wife especially enjoyed the Salmon.
Great food and service
Our server Wade was absolutely AMAZING!!! He was very attentive and kind!!
The only thing special about this restaurant is its view and location. Besides that it’s overpriced for food Quality and portion. It’s hard to rate the food any higher when kids won’t eat hamburger and stale chicken with butter corn. Street tacos were fine . Price point vs food flavor and portion is a bit unbalanced.
Googled for brunch restaurants. This one came up as service breakfast all day. We got there at noon. No breakfast - no brunch and prices were way higher than shown online.
We had a wonderful experience from start to finish! Every staff member was friendly and courteous and the food was delicious. They even brought out a complimentary dessert for my husband’s birthday!
We enjoyed atmosphere and service. Food price imbalance so that was weird but overall loved the time there.
First off, I understand the challenges that Covid has created for restaurants. But even in this current and challenging climate how can a restaurant even with a straight face charge $17.00 dollars for chips, salsa and guacamole. Especially when they are not even fresh made chips and the guac was just avocado with some chipotle poorly mixed in. Sedona is a beautiful town and Saltrock is not even trying, just resting on the fact that the view is great. The tacos were sub standard and the options were extremely limited. Go to Hudson instead, they are making an effort and it shows. You'll spend the same amount if not less for an actual meal. Hey Saltrock, if you treat your guests like tourists they will treat you like tourists and not find a home with you. I will be back to Sedona but I can guarantee I will not find myself anywhere near your tourist trap. Plus I only mentioned it five times that it was my wives 50th birthday so thank you to your staff for congratulating us on our "anniversary". it was charming.
We had a mixed experience. Gaspacho (a special) was a good starter--tasted very good and the portion was generous. The main dish was meagre in size. I had the scallops--3 of them with a bit of pasta (great sauce) next to them--and the plate looked large compared to the food on it. My husband had the chicken tacos: 4 mini tacos--it looked like an appetizer. Since I had room, I ordered the ice cream sandwich. It was two large cookies with a dollop of ice cream between them. The cookies were not fresh and (IMO) were overbaked. They were so hard I had to break pieces off with my fingers.
We ate on the beautiful outdoor patio with a wonderful view of the Sedona hills. With just a few changes, such as more entree options and larger portions, this could be a great place deserving of the high cost for the evening.
Horrible service. Left after our drinks. Had to wait 20 min before service so decided to just get a cocktail and leave. Margaritas were good!
Fantastic views, great outdoor seating and very clean protocols! Delicious food, great menu.
Very yummy food in a beautiful location. Our server made the experience even better. She was super sweet and attentive. Thank you!
Great view VERY limited
Menu was small but view was amazing found out my friend has stayed
There and said the rooms were amazing as well
Went up to Sedona for my birthday weekend and Saltrock was a must visit. We got patio seating and with the red rocks and starry night sky it was a vision. Food was good and I loved the thoughtfulness of my bday card! PS- must try the ice cream cookie sandwich!
They were so great. They have us a free dessert and a signed card from everyone for our anniversary.
The food was great, the cocktails were better, and the view on from the outdoor seating area was INSANE. I highly recommend.
Loved this experience! Great food, amazing service, excellent view!
It was our first time there, love that they can serve you so early since we needed to be out on the road to head back home. The view is amazing!! And staff was so fast! Food was great and fresh!
