My wife and I booked a reservation at Saltrock after reading reviews. The good was outstanding and service excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Sedona.
The service was terrible. Seemed like there were as many servers as occupied tables, so not sure how that could be. Our server seemed to disappear frequently and just getting our cheque’s was like pulling teeth. Eggs were overcooked and everything else was just OK.
Sadly the restaurant took a reservation at the same time they were getting the room ready for Thanksgiving dinner, which made us feel rushed to get out. We had a very nice server but the menu was not special for a holiday and the food actually disgusting. We tried to be positive but truth was that we should have complained, but we did not. I've dined here before but would never return after this experience. I do take responsibility that I assumed on a holiday it would have specials for it's guests and because of this I recommend to call ahead if you have questions or hopes of a different menu than the one online.
Great time, Amazing food!
We loved our experience and our meal at salt rock! The Oso Buco was outstanding!
My boyfriend's meal was good.
My meal tasted ok but was not hot. Overall not a great experience
Very beautiful patio. Food was delicious
Hotel dining billed as “fancy“ - overpriced for the quality of food and the quality of service.
The food was great, drinks were great, and our server was great. The hostess and her manager were a bit rude. We were seated at a table for two at the should of another guest. Asked to be moved and the hostess blew us off to talk to her manager. He then claimed that there were parties of four taking the open the tables. This was in fact not true, as the other two tables were taken by parties of two. We move the table ourselves so as not be at the shoulder of the neighboring table.
If you’re a vegetarian there are pretty much zero options here.
Outstanding meal with wonderful service in a beautiful outdoor setting. Moved a nice warm heater next to the table on a cool evening.
Outstanding!
We really enjoyed our dinner here. Food was fresh and flavorful, really good. Would definitely recommend.
Great location and food and service was amazing. I look forward to our next meal here.
Wonderful server Rachael. View breath taking and food and drink delicious
A beautiful location..we were lucky enough to eat outside
Good place. Many place in Sedona are rated for their views only, but this place has good food.
It was worth the value.
perfect location.....and perfect time for romantic diner.......thx
Service was efficient and friendly, and we even received a birthday card signed by the staff which was an excellent touch. Food was simple and great, though a bit overpriced for what it was. I’ll blame the price on its location.
All in all it was a nice place. Staff was very kind and the view outside was beautiful. However, we booked this restaurant based on the fact that it showed a brunch menu. When we arrived there was no brunch. We ordered from the lunch menu but it was a bit disappointing. My salad was very small and underdressed. My husband had a burger which he said was very good. I would go back but would go earlier for breakfast maybe
Great steaks. Roasted carrots were barely cooked. Really small scoops of ice cream. Nice waiter, but slow service. Not really worth the high price.
The day time view of the red rocks is spectacular. Food was fresh and creative. Osso bucco was fork tender and a large serving. Service is not pretentious and seems authentically sincere.
Wonderful atmosphere (beautiful view of mountains outside eating), great service! Margaritas were exceptional.. roasted corn appetizer is worthy of driving 100 miles for! Everything was wonderful!
Our waiter, Ryan, was great, very helpful and personable. The view and atmosphere are the strong points. Whether you dine inside or out, the trees and red rocks are visible. This restaurant services mostly guests of the hotel, as it is tucked, so it does not attract people passing by. The food was a bit disappointing. Though the chicken sandwich was smothered with cheese, avocado and bacon, the chicken was a bit dry. The Crabmeat roll was okay, bland and not that tasty.
Delicious food and wonderful service!
Beautiful views from the patio at Sunset. Food, service and ambience were excellent.
We had seen great reviews so perhaps our expectations were too high. Our food was warm but not hot.
Carnitas taco app was not hot, some of the carnitas was very over cooked and difficult to bite through and the tortillas were inconsistent. One soft, one very hard. So a mixed bag. Grilled corn was very good but not too hot. Soup was very good and hot but entrees were tepid. The mains were good but not as good as they could have been and should have been. We did not raise as none of us wanted to have the disruption to our meal.
We are outside by the fire...the food and atmosphere were incredible!
The food was OK but terribly overpriced. Drinks were very good but again $15 /margarita the kids menu priced items individually which I didn't realize.
Great location away from busyness of Sedona main drag. Decent food, excellent service and great spot for the dogs.
Visiting from out of town with a friend.
The service was quite slow on the evening we dined at SaltRock and when our server finally showed up to take our order, he didn’t pace the food out into appetizers/main dishes, so everything we ordered came at once. While we didn’t dine in the outside deck, I am sure it is quite lovely during the day or warm evenings. Overall, the food was decent, but probably a better spot for lunch or drinks and appetizers.
Very accommodating staff
Excellent food and great service. Dining outside in the shade with red rock views makes for a memorable experience.
I am mexican, so southwest kitchen for tacos de carnitas or torta ahogada is a kind of a joke for me.
The restaurant was beautiful with a lovely outdoor seating area. Our table was ready upon arrival and the server was friendly and very knowledge. The food was excellent.
The view was great (until sun went down) and the osso buco and filet where absolutely delicious!! My wife kept eating my white beans, so our server (Jane, ask for her) brought a (side) bowl (that my wife continued to devour!!). It was easy to "tip away" for this delightful experience
Outstanding experience-lovely mountain view-exquisite food-perfect margarita-and a wonderful, server, Janice, who made us feel at home-highly recommended!
Absolutely lovely location a d the food was excellent. Highly recommend it for a sunset and a margarita (sun devil was the best). Had a salad and added steak to it, the chef cooked the steak perfectly. My partner regretted not getting steak after seeing how perfectly executed it was.
A terrific dining experience from start to finish. Food, service and atmosphere were all outstanding. Dining out in the patio with view of the mountains is the best.
