Saltrock Southwest Kitchen & Craft Margaritas is a Southwest American Restaurant that blends Southwest culinary traditions with the fresh and seasonal approach of California cuisine in a casual fun atmosphere.
Great view. Seemed odd that we selected a 4:45 reservation but they could not take food orders until 5. The mushroom soup was outstanding. Great outdoor seating and plenty of heat lamps and gas fire pits. Great service!
The food here is good but doesn't live up to the prices. If you're staying at the resort, then an easy walk to the dining room might be in order, but I recommend against making a special trip here just for dinner. The cocktails are quite creative and very tasty, but overpriced like the rest of the menu.
Host was not really on top of things. The waiter stepped up though! He was great. Overalls the experience was a little frustrating and the food was okay. Just expected more off the reviews. View was great.
Great view if you sit outside. Nice little grass for the kids to play on while you eat. Downfall is the food is not great and you get really small portions. Also it was a pretty small wine list and the skinny margaritas were not good. After spending $150 on dinner I left hungry.
The venue was a big disappointment! Not nearly as nice as it should have been for the quality of hotel in which it was located. The outdoor patio needs to be power washed and seating and tables updated. The portions were small and the steak was tasteless. The server was very attentive, but sounded like he had memorized what to say and when, plus sloppily dressed and presented. Be smart and take a pass....LOTS better places to eat in Sedona!
Great view in the patio and very good food. Dinner was pricey for what you get but that’s Sedona! Will stick yo lunch or just drinkies... Our server was outstanding too.
We had dinner here while on vacation and loved it! They have a beautiful patio with a fire pit for ambiance. The service was outstanding and the food was delicious! Very glad we were able to get a reservation!!
The menu selection was a joke, even with Covid. Plus there was a hair in my food. The Tacos was sub average. I would never go back
We dined severL evenings here. The view is spectacular, service is excellent!
What a lovely dinner in a beautiful setting! We made reservations for 5:30 outside. We had the perfect table - in the center of the patio right next to the fire pit. They also had a wedding reception going on just beyond the patio. We ordered the beef Barbacoa tacos snd the Cuban sandwich. Both were excellent. And the service was great. Highly recommend this restaurant for superior food snd outstanding ambiance. The view is incredible!
Vacation in Sedona
This was a disappointing visit for us. We had dined here a year ago, and loved it. However, this time, our service was poor ( drinks took forever to arrive, and one never did), and the food was only average for the price. The roasted corn appetizer we had loved on our first visit was not at all what we had before......must have changed the recipe. Sadly, we probably won’t return here for dining.
My husband had the Carnitas tacos and only ate one because the pork was dry, tough and it had a strange, not good flavor. My hamburger looked wonderful but was so overcooked it was dry. There could not have been more than 1 tsp of the BBQ sauce on the top bun. Our waiter wanted to take the Carnitas off the bill but my husband said no so the waiter comped us a desert. That's when things went really bad. We ordered the house favorite ice cream sandwich. Giant house made cookies with a very small dollop of vanilla ice cream. Cookies tasted like bacon. We asked the server if they put bacon in the cookies and he said, 'no' that it was Oreo cookie crumbles in the cookie. Took the cookie home so we could taste it again in the morning. Spit it out. Heavily bacon flavor. Don't know if they spilled grease on them or what. Something was seriously wrong with the kitchen on Oct 8, 2020. Where was the chef/owner. Not there or everyone was high on something.
The lunch special shrimp tacos were delicious!
Breakfast was incredible. I had the best breakfast burrito of my life. Beautiful ambiance and great service.
Menu is very limited, when asking about fresh fish of the day they never did tell us. Outside view is beautiful but menu is very small. Had the carnitas street tacos, they were good but small. Turkey wrap was very dry, good French fries. Really just a hotel view
We went here on our last night in Sedona for a nice fancy meal. Ending up eating tacos because the two choices for dinner did not start until 5:00, and our reservation was for 4:30. No menu to speak of except bar food; why is this a fancy place? Our waitress was very pleasant, and we left a nice tip because of her, but would not return again, or refer them to anybody.
Really a wonderful experience and great food, service, ambiance, and view. Dine with confidence.
Excellent service and food
Disappointed! Food was just ok. Very small portions and very few choices! We had a new waiter who needed a little more training.
Paying for the views only, food good but extremely over priced for the quantity.
Highly overrated spot according to the reviews. Minimal shade on the patio. Underwhelming, not special food at ridiculous prices. Not a fun atmosphere. Unfriendly, under-attentive staff, poor service! Better off going to a different spot if you’re visiting Sedona. Spend your money on better quality food and better vibes!
Good food, just a bit overpriced. Nice view though
My only suggestion is that for what you pay for a glass of wine, it’s a very small pour. The food and ambience is incredible
We sat outside waiting for our table and the views were spectacular! The service and food were wonderful. I wish there could have been a larger selection on the menu.
Food is below average to average depending on what you get. View is good but food is not.
Was recommended by our hotel staff and tour guide. No reservations but the wait time was accurately explained upon entrance AND they provided a complimentary adult beverage for all in your party to ease the wait. Service staff was "on their game" and the food was great and priced reasonably. Would highly recommend.
Amazing service! We had the perfect bday celebration!
Poor service. I wouldn’t come back. The food was not great.
The entire experience we had at Salt Rock was stellar. The menu has great variety for the food and beverages - esp. their signature cocktails! The team provided exceptional service and were accommodating to our requests. Pair all of this with epic views of the red rocks and you can see why it's now in our top 3 places to dine in Sedona!
The menu was very limited and we were looking for more of an upscale dining experience. We had a drink and appetizer and ended up going to another restaurant. Service was great and the views are beautiful.
We sat in the spacious patio, near the fountain, for lunch. I had the barbacoa tacos. Peggy has the green salad with shrimp. Both meals were terrific. We’d give the food a five. My dish came with four street tacos, stuffed with nicely cooked and spiced meat, great cheese, nice chopped veggies and a cream that held it together. I topped mine with a squeeze of fresh lime (which I then dropped into my Modelo. Peggy’s salad was wonderfully balanced, the shrimp in a semi-spicy sauce. Good meal.
Exceptional service. Food is good. Price is high considering the amount and quality. I would dine here again. Ambiance is amazing too!
Menu is small, food on the menu isn't great. It's expensive and the staff was slow and rude
The food was pretty good, but the menu was very limited and the experience is definitely not worth paying exorbitant resort prices.
The restaurant was very accommodating when we asked to move our reservation to an earlier time. It was an outdoor luxury with the mountains as a backdrop. The service was impeccable and the interior decorations were done to perfection. The food was prepared with elegance and presentation. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Limited menu. Pretty expensive for 4 tacos. Should come with some sides or something you can use to bulk out a full meal.
Great view & service Imelda was great!! Thank you
