The Saltlik is an awesome restaurant, delicious food and a wonderful place to take out of town friends or before you go to the game. Impressive!
Went there with my fiancé's family to have a small celebration. All four of us loved the place. Everything was great: ambiance, food, drinks, and dessert.
Our server (Kelsey) was so pleasant and took good care of us.
Overall, it was time and money well spent.
Everything we ordered was fabulous. Strongly recommend the Coconut crusted prawns.
Great food, great service even better restaurant for a birthday celebration
Went for a pre-theater dinner. Fast but not hurried service, above average food.
All was good but one of your waitresses really needed deodorant. It was really bad!
Had the steak and chocolate lava cake, which were both fantastic. Service was also very good.
The food and service was good. A little noisy though.
The Saltilk never disappoints!!! Our meal and service was spot on!
We had a great anniversary dinner here! I would recommend it to everyone.
Excellent special. We all had the sirloin with the lobster mashed and it was great!
Fabulous! I would recommend to anyone!
For the first time after having dined at Saltlik many times, I felt the steak was sub par. It tasted like it was defrosted and the cooked. Very strange since previous occasions I found it quite good.
Not sure I’ll be back.
Great service great lunch steak
We had a great evening at the SaltLik celebrating a birthday. Great food and Ambience!
Had a lovely dinner celebrating my husbands birthday. The service was wonderful, friendly and informative. Our meal from the appetizers, to mains, and dessert was delicious. Our filets cooked exactly as ordered. Complementary champagne was a very special touch.
Only down side is that it was very loud. We were seated in a lovely booth but it was right next to the bar which was quite full. To bad as there were lots of other booths available as well as a fireside table. I guess that would be a hostess decision but I’d have thought they’d have given us a better table when they knew it was a birthday dinner from our reservation.
Overall the restaurant itself was very nice, from the decor to the state of the booths and chairs, that aspect of the restaurant was very good.
On the other hand, the food, taste, quality, and value for a dollar. Very low. I had the French onion soup to start and was very good. My main was the buthcher special, at market price. Which happened to be 45$ for a 35 day dry aged rib eye. When it came out, it was very thin. Maybe 1/2” thick. Which was dissappointing. The way the waitor describe the steak I was looking forward to a mouth watering morsel of food. What I got, was nothing better then what I would get from say Mr. Mikes or even Boston pizza. So I was very disappointed. My wife had the peppercorn steak, which was again mediocre at best, the sauce was beyond peppery, she likes spice and pepper but was much too much for her.
We had the cheese toast which was as good as it could be. Being toast and cheese. And the asparagus which was surprisingly good.
Overall, not sure I would go back, not sure I would recommend people to go here. Thoroughly dissappointed. But the restaurant was phenomenal. Beautiful ambience, and feel.
One of the best meals we have had in a long time. The welcome was very nice, the service was beyond excellent, the sommelier was knowledgeable and pleasant and the food was nicely prepared and served hot, no waiting to be delivered. Will go back again for sure
Server was friendly, though didn't come around often enough (ie. to take our order, clean our plates etc.) Food was high quality and tasted good. Very pricey for amount of food provided. Great location and decor.
Remove empty drink glass, but did not ask if I wanted another drink. Order another drink and they forgot until I asked again.
Steak was just okay. It was cooked properly. The peppercorn sauce was minimal and just average.
The server was animated , friendly and efficient.
My wife has a gluten sensitivity and is allergic to dairy. The server and the menu was not that sensitive to my wife's needs though she did enjoy her salad
Very disappointing dinner. I was looking forward to this all week. Food was very disappointing
The food was good and the service was great too. We have been there a bunch of time and would absolutely eat there again.
Food, drinks, desserts, and the service were all amazing! Would definitely return!
Read reviews online and waited 2 days to make a reservation because of availability. Busy lunch hour but our waitress was on-key and made her periodic visits always pleasurable. Food was FANTASTIC!!! I don't often splurge $ like that but well worth it to treat yourself or someone special for a great date.
Great food and service. Was really loud, could barely hear each other but it was over lunch hour so was very busy.
The steaks were not as good as the last time. Pretty disappointing.
Morey was an awesome server. Bartender and Morey built a drink specific to my wife's taste and it was perfect.
Steaks cooked to perfection
lobster mashed potatoes are to die for
This was where we met and now oy4 first anniversary was celebrated there. Couldn't gave chosen a lovlier spot!
Four of us had a pre-theater dinner at the Saltlik. Restaurant was busy, but not so when we first arrived. A performance review of a staff member was occurring at the next table which was a little unusual. Appetizers were good as were the pre-dinner drinks. Dinner, however, was underwhelming. My wife's chicken and vegetables arrived luke warm, and our friends fish dinners arrived skin-on on top of vegetables in a pool of broth. They weren't impressed. My steak was okay, but for the price I could have done better at another steak house.
Overall we were underwhelmed.
We went there to taste well-known Alberta beef. We were not let down. The staff are attentive and knowledgeable. Thank you for the great evening.
Food was amazing. For a Wednesday night the restaurant was packed and so noisy...would have enjoyed a bit more had it not been. I can not blame the establishment for the noise level and so only have good things to say about our experience there. Service, seating, food all A+.
The Hunter Chicken is amazing! It is my go to dish.
Excellent steak of Alberta, decoration with local touch, and a great service. Definitely exceeded my expectations on my first visit together with family.
Overall very pleased with the service and food. Great value. Staff super friendly
Good food, good atmosphere. Great value for this class of restaurants!
I have been going to Saltlik for the 10 years that I have been going to Calgary on business. I have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere!
Great service Michelle! Sticky Toffee pudding is a must
The food was fantastic, however the service was slow as our waiter had a big table and therefore we were not as important as the large table.
The staff where friendly and the steak was outstanding! BUT! The onion soup was just warm, the red wine was chilled, and the server was very rushed to get us in and out of the restaurant. Like a fast food restaurant. Really not sure if we will go again! Talked to the manager and no compensation was given just a sorry about that.
Food was nice enough 3/5.
Service was very poor and very slow.
