We love Salt and have been coming for years. The menu changes seasonally but it never disappoints!
I love this place! Service and food are consistently five stars. Philip and his team are incredibly attentive and clear experts in all things wine and food. Will keep returning.
Ordered 8-10 tapas for our table of 4 and we were so happy with the quality of food. Every dish was amazing! Had a couple bottles of delicious wine and the service was wonderful, with staff readily coming by to refill our wine glasses and water. Will definitely be back!!
My fiance and I went here for my birthday and WOW, it was absolutely phenomenal. From the ambiance to the service to the food, everything blew us away. Our server made an excellent wine recommendation based on my tastes. We ordered the foie gras, steak tartare, octopus carpaccio, lamb sliders, and iberico ribs and it was all delicious with the type of portion sizes you'd expect for a tapas restaurant. I was stuffed by the end of it. Probably the best foie gras/pate we ever had in our life, and the octopus carpaccio was such a stand out as well. 10/10 date night/special occasion hidden gem!
Service was great and food was incredible! We felt very taken care of and was happy to celebrate my moms birthday here!! Will be back
Food didn’t have flavour
My first time at Salt. The staff were great. The menu was interesting. Sadly, it was such poor value. $25 for a small plate of gnocchi. They seriously only have 5 small slices of the sourdough bread. I just walked away feeling I over paid for everything.
Food was outstanding as always. Covid patio patio setup wasn't ideal, but the meal and service made up for it
The food is delicious and the service is great. The duck confit was scrumptious!
It was excellent! However we wish they gave us a warning that we had to leave (so we could have ordered dessert!). Totally understand the need for dining time limits.
One of the best foodie experiences I have had in Toronto, bar none. Gnocci was amazing as was the spicy lamb meatballs and the buttermilk chicken. Great wine selection too. Highly recommend!
Amazing food & ambiance. A real treat. Highly reccomend the tuna dish, patatas bravas, & the waygu sliders
Salt wine bar is in a good location but the food is pretty overpriced for what it is. I think a little less cost in the food would balance out the pricier wines.
Service was great. Ambience was as good as it could be sitting at a small table outside. Food was very good as well. We had the cheese board, octopus and tomato dish. Would reccomend!
The staff were super friendly, service was great and the food was fantastic!
Wonderful place. Server recommended the sliders and ribs, and were fantastic. Very knowledgeable about their wine selection.
Will visit again.
My partner and I came for our anniversary. It was our first visit to any restaurant since the pandemic shutdown and it was a fantastic experience. Food was incredible and the patio was surprisingly nice given that it was on the sidewalk on Ossington! Don’t miss the sliders they were absolutely incredible!
The place was fantastic the service was amazing and the food and drinks spectacular thank you
Unreal food. Simply specular combination of flavours.
I took my boyfriend here for his birthday and we had an amazing time. The food and wine pairings were excellent. Perfect size sharing plates and great variety of Spanish and Portuguese wines. Will definitely be returning.
Best restaurant ever. Highly recommended. The food is sublime. The service amazing. The location ideal. Please visit if in Toronto!
Love this place, we’ve been going here for a year and love everything about this place, from the great tapas to the friendly service.
Absolutely fantastic service, food, and wine in a terrific space. Cocktails as well were beautifully done. Highly recommend.
We went on a Monday at 8pm and it was a bit quiet. The restaurant has a beautiful cellar style decor, wine line is excellent, everything we ate was delicious, especially loved the fried chicken (reminds me of the great fried chicken at Bar Fancy). It did get a bit busier but if anything was a turn off it was just the lack of clientele. Glad we gave it a try!
Food was amazing. Vibe was A+. Wine recco was STRONG. I would recommend to the judgeist of moms...... EAT THE SLIDER AND THE POTATOES!!
Excellent food but portions are small and expensive. It would be expensive to have a full meal here.
The best. You can’t go wrong here
Salt is a great restaurant. The food is amazing, the service is wonderful but not cloying. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu items and the wine list. She was very helpful in guiding our wine choice to the perfect red for our tastes and the food. Highly recommended!
Loved the spicy meatballs and the steak. Wish the service was a little warmer.
The food is outstanding. Every dish we had was excellent, but the octopus, prime rib and pate really stood out. Very good service, lovely ambiance and not loud at all.
Overall really great night. Amazing tapas- the pork belly was incredible. Great wine list as well. I would say it was a place I would 100% go back too! Not a cheap date but worth it.
Excellent food! Service was attentive and sublime. Cannot wait to come back!
Though the wine is excellent and the food flavourful, it's not worth the price for the tiny amount you get. Servers were attentive, but a little too much as they come around to fill your wine after every sip. This got a little annoying as it cut into conversation at the table. It got to the point where servers had to be told by my table that we would just pour our own wine. Refilling a glass before it's empty is a great practice, but not every two seconds.
Great environment and food is just right for a Sat night with friends
The tears of salt
the joy of wine.
When life is bold
and food's divine.
Where fate is taste
and love is dense:
We have our bond.
Years short and long.
We had our night
in Salt and Wine.
What a delight
that she's still mine.
Perfect size plates of tapas to share that were mouth wateringly delicious. An extensive wine list with a server who was happy to help make a selection in our budget. A warm wood space with low lighting perfect for a cold January Sunday night.
We were advised by the server to order 5 tapas for 2 and I think it was just okay. If you have a person in your party who normally consumes more food you would need to order more. The quality of the food was inconsistent. I felt that there were not enough pepper in one dish, and then not enough salt in the other. The best dish that I had was the scallop which was done just right.
Also, we were not told in advance that we would need to pay $6 for the bottle of water that we got. We asked for plain simple water. And when the server said she would bring us a bottle, we didn't know that she would bring one that we would have to pay for it later. The server should have asked us more questions to make sure the bottle was exactly what we would want.
I will not visit the restaurant again, unfortunately.
Outstanding meal and service. Great cocktails. Relaxed friendly vibe.
