Salt Wine Bar
Great little place. Nice wines with both high and low end prices. Nice sharing plates.
Our 2nd time. A chill vibe, servers are cool. Enjoyed, thanks.
Overall a great experience! Server was super helpful and professional. Food was really delic! The chilli Bomba sauce is to die for especially on the wagyu sliders ( a must have!)
The food was fantastic and our server was very knowledgeable and helpful.
Excellent tapas albeit limited choices. Nonetheless, will definitely come back.
Salt Wine Bar is always an amazing dining experience. From presentation to taste.
Always love coming back to Salt, it's still my favorite restaurant and the manage to do something amazing with each new menu!! Thanks again guys!!!!
Food was uneven. Some was wonderful; other dishes underwhelmed. Similarly, the service began well, but by the end of the evening we felt like we were forgotten. The dirty dishes piled up at our table and we had to track someone down to ask for a dessert menu. The meal took about an hour longer than our usual dining experience at similar restaurants.
We enjoyed Salt Winebar. Nice to see a unique selection of wines on the menu.
The warm atmosphere at Salt is a paired with their extensive Iberian based wine list plus their elegant take on tapas sharing plates. It all made for a lively and fun dinner for 4 very happy out of town foodies in from the cold. A wonderful neighbourhood gem.
finally there's a restaurant in Toronto where you can actually talk to your dinner companion without shouting while enjoying fine wine, great food, and a thoroughly professional staff! it was wonderful!
Very good restaurant....great food ...owners staff know what they are doing .Nice Portuguese wine selection . Ask for Phillip their wine expert . He is Portuguese and spends time in Portugal and understands the wines from their very well.
Little hidden gem with a creative take on tapas and an extensive wine list.
Our server was helpful, knowledgeable and patient. Will absolutely go back.
Allthe dishes were executed beautifully and they were all about excellent taste and flavors.
The food was amazing, and the service was great.
Always a solid performer, this restaurant can be counted on for a good wine list, nice wood-warmed ambience and knowledgeable staff who can direct you to the tastier items on an inventive menu. One of my reliable choices in Toronto and often not as crowded as other, less interesting restos on the Ossington strip.
Upbeat and lively place with good food to share. Some tapas are better than others. Waygu sliders and avocado toast scored high points. Noise level is quite high but does not impede conversation.
Wonderful food and attentive service!
Excellent, inspired, and original approach. Lovely presentation. Delicious.
It was overall a very pleasant experience at the Salt. Food was great and their guidance on picking a wine was spot on! Service was quick, attentive but not too nosy.
The pork belly and the Cod were excellent. Lamb balls were a close second. All the choices sounded great.
Atmosphere - cool spot but very narrow restaurant so if you are stuck on a small table in the middle of the room as we were, you do feel a bit crowded.
Noise level was pretty high as it was a small restaurant.
Service with staff and sommelier were both exceptional. Absolutely recommend this restaurant for both food and wine!
This was the perfect place for a ladies night out. Amazing tapas, excellent wine selections, and the service was on point. We would definitely return!
Really lovely dinner in a gorgeous, warm, vibrant and inviting environment.
The food was spectacular, esp the octopus and the scallop cerviche.
Great all round service.
Wine list provided a fun round trip through Portugal, although I definitely enjoyed the whites more than the reds (great minerality, worked really well with the seafood dishes)
Had a great - delicious meal! Only complaints, restaurant was very loud and portions are a bit small but everything was very tasty, service was friendly and attentive - overall excellent experience.
Good food, service a little slow in the beginning. Loved the lamb meatballs.
Good food and attentive service. Could be a bit cheaper for real value. They are not quite as good as bar Isabel or bar Raval for comparable price but wine list from Spain and Portugal is really nice
A fun and energetic place with outstanding food. The service was excellent, and everyone had the most wonderful time. Highly recommend Salt for virtually any occasion. Be hungry and thirsty!
the food was great!
4.5 stars. This is an excellent small plate restaurant. The patatas bravas are superb, the lobster risotto excellent as were BBQ ribs. The prices are reasonable, a huge wine selection, and very good cider. It can get noisy, but we arrived early and ate very well.
A last minute find that really delivered. Excellent food, wine, ambiance.
Wanted to try this place for awhile and it did not disappoint. Our waiter chose a delicious wine for the table and was very knowledgeable about the menu. We were four people and shared 8 different tapas plates which were served at the right pace and were was delicious. Another plus was that the tables were not too close together and the noise level was not too loud. We all enjoyed our evening. I would highly recommend this restaurant!
Love Salt. A wonderful relaxed atmosphere to be able to go and have date night. Love the freshness of the food and the tasty options. Great sharing plates and wonderful wine selection. Really enjoyed our night.
I can’t believe how amazing this restaurant is. It’s like a hidden gem in Toronto! It’s tapa style and for two people, they recommend four dishes which was more than enough! I really loved how dim and intimate it was! And the service was wonderful! I am definitely coming back here soon!
Wonderful wine selection, great food and service was perfect. Great experience and will definetly be going back.
Dinner was lovely. We really enjoyed the tapas style shared dishes, especially the salmon. I had a glass of wine which was quite different (as our server warned me it would be) but I found it delightful, quite jammy. I can't remember the name of the wine though. If the server happens to remember it and could send it to me I'd greatly appreciate it.
My wife and I have been to Salt several times. We live in the Ossington strip area and therefore have regular access to incredible restaurants. Despite our multitude of options, we both consider Salt to be our favourite restaurant for its incredible and creative food, wine selections, and exceptional service. We look forward to our next visit!
Celebrating our anniversary and this was the perfect little date spot to start the night. Service was amazing as they recommended great beverages for us. Not being a beer drinker I tried one of their specialty beers that tasted similar to a dry cider/juice. Was pleasantly surprised as did not taste like beer or leave me bloated. We had 4 tappas and all were great. The friend chicken was more than enough to be a main and would not even consider it a tappas.
Well worth the walk. A knowledgeable staff and extensive wine menu make for a great experience. Very cozy yet modern atmosphere with authentic tapas made from quality ingredients by people who obviously care about what they are providing to their guests. Overall fantastic!!!
Food is absolutely fantastic without being pretentious.
Servers are very knowledgeable.
Great food and service. The gnocchi dish was tops!
